I just didn't care about my health at this point. I downed the coffee quickly. It burned my tongue a bit. I tossed the cup in the trash and went to clean some tables. I grabbed the cloth and spray bottle and headed to one of the tables I served at. "Hmm?" I look under one of the coffee cups, noticing a ten dollar bill. "Huh, someone left me a tip?" I ask myself. Picking up the money, I examine it before placing it in my pocket on my apron.
I sprayed the table and wiped it down the best I could. I did the same to a few other tables. Once I had finished cleaning, I placed the cloth over my arm and returned to the cleaning area to place the bottle away. I opened the door, finding Jun in there."What the hell? Why are you here? I didn't see you cleaning any tables." I said. In our time working together, that was probably the most I have ever said to him.
He turned and looked at me. A wide smile grew on his face. "Henry!" He said and reached in for a hug. I stammered back then without thinking, I lifted the bottle and sprayed him with the soapy water inside. He paused and looked at me with shock. "That could have gotten into my eyes!" He said dramatically and wiped his face.
I rolled my eyes. Tch. I'd probably laugh if it did.I placed the bottle on the ground and threw the filthy rag at him. "Wipe your face off with that." I left the room and shut the door. Jesus, it's like everywhere I turnI run into him. I took a deep breath and looked at the time. Only a few minutes left until lunch break. I felt a bit of relief knowing this.
It was not long before one of the employees announced that it was time for lunch. As soon as I grabbed my lunch bag, I headed outside. I never go to the break room becauseit's too crowded. It is not pleasant to stay in such a small room with so many people, especially Jun. I sat outside on the sidewalk and pulled a turkey sandwich out of the bag. I'm not big on turkey, but that's all I had today. Hmm to be honest I don't even remember making it this morning...Oh well. I bit into the sandwich and sat back.
