Aaron and Pop Harvey got dressed. They pretended to be folks they would never be ever. Pop Harvey hated people who complained unless they had one of the most serious reasons in the world and Aaron hated police and he hated cops so dressing and acting like one wasn't comfortable for him. Mason got in disguise and felt a little gross. Zen finished packing the 18 wheeler with their clothes, food, and appliances. He was headed for Wyoming to drop off their belongings and start a new life. It was going to be hard to do without Zen but he didn't want to live a life of fear anymore. Jean’s death was tragic and really hurt him but he believes that Jean would want him to explore the vast horizons that Jean once wanted.
They all agreed that living without Liivik was the plan because he did something so terrible.
“You ready?” Pop Harvey asked the rest of the group.
Three cars lined up beside each other. An eighteen wheeler, a truck, and a SUV. All the windows down so they can hear each other.
“Yep,”
“Sure!” The other boys answered.
The three cars pulled off one by one by one. They all went in different directions.
Mason drove straight to the jail by the time he got there Pop Harvey and Aaron should be being questioned about things. He drove for thirty minutes and almost fell asleep behind the wheel. He had driven a lot further before but now it was overwhelming. He had been through so much in the last few weeks and now doing simple things like driving was tiring him. Mason started playing music and bobbing his head. He was trying to distract himself from all the negative because if this plan was a success then he would be able to leave all of this behind.
Mason pulled into a field of trees. There was just enough room to hide the car. He got out and walked through the field of trees himself. He was ready but nervous all at once. He saw the fence full of different people working out in a yard. Guys working out, some skinny and some built. He stared for a second and asked himself,
“What am I doing right now?” He asked in his head.
As soon as he thought of the question he moved on and did what he came for. He snatched the latch off and quickly threw the bomb through the air. It almost felt like it was going in slow-mo. Mason didn't have time to watch, He sprinted for the other side of the huge building. It would take him a moment but a moment he didn't have. Behind him were several people fleeing. He hurried out and went to the other side. He finally reached the gate and Chaser spotted him without making anything obvious. He winked at another prisoner. The prisoner was huge and had scars everywhere. He was buffed. Mason was shocked that Chaser found someone.
Maso watched as guards left the gate unsupervised because they were one by one being called to help handle the situation on the other side. Mason threw the smoke bombs high to make sure the cameras couldnt see who was missing after the gate was empty. Chaser and the other guy started climbing the fence but The big guy jumped back to the ground. He kicked the fence down and everyone just ran and sprinted into the forest.
Chaser let the two guys follow him straight to the parked vehicle that they caught someone about to hijack.
“Hey!” Mason yelled.
This could ruin the plan completely.
Chaser puts his hand against Mason’s chest and nods for him to stop. The big guy who’s name we still haven't learned yet, stepped towards the car and flipped it over. He whistled and another prisoner drove quickly up to the spot that the van was in. An orange Ferrari.
“He likes to ride in style. He breaks out everytime he gets tired, he just doesn't care to get locked back up so when he's tired of being in the world he comes and turns himself in.” Chaser whispered as he and Mason walked to the car.
Mason looked surprised, shocked, confused, and stuck all at the same time.
“You said find someone good.” Chaser commented, smirking.
The guy that pulled up in the car got out and ran and the big guy got behind the wheel. Mason got in the front seat and Chaser got into the back.
“Which store am I robbing?” The guy questioned.
His voice was extremely deep. He was tall and barely fit in the car without lowering his seat. His voice was lower than any voice Mason had ever heard. Chaser sat in the back like everything was normal. The thing Mason feared most was that Jail changed Chaser. Chaser had been to jail before but never on purpose.
“Just rob the store next to the bank, not the actual bank,” Mason explained.
“Yup!” The guy responded.
“And make a huge commotion.” Mason prompted.
The car stopped and Chaser hopped in the front seat once the big guy got out. Through the window Mason watched him pull out a Sniper Rifle 22 and a 30 caliber shotgun from his pockets.
“How deep were those pockets?!” Mason surveyed sarcastically.
He kind of giggled a bit. They drove off.
“Where am I going?” Chaser asked.
Mason thought he was being sarcastic but his face seemed serious.
“The police station front office.” Mason answered.
“Turning me in already?” Chaser said sarcastically.
This time Mason could tell he was joking.
“Pop and Aaron are there making another distraction.” Mason stated.
Just then he got a text from Pop.
“Only one police here, your distractions and plans worked well I assume.” Pop’s message wrote.
Mason Wanted to smile but the plan wasn't quite successful yet. They pulled in front of the office.
From the window they saw Aaron take out his phone. He says something to the real officer and then Pop Harvey leaves and so does Aaron they rush into the car. They both smile when they see Chaser driving the Ferrari with a serious look.
“Jail huh?” Pop joked.
“More like an amusement park.” Chaser confirmed.
“Wyoming is where you're driving next.” Mason said.
Chaser was confused for a second but he got the message.
“Zen?” Chaser asked.
“Already there with our things.” Mason says smiling.
Now he can smile because they have finally reached success. A life without gangs and drama. Just them and whatever they chose to do with their lives.
