He walked downstairs, only to see Alfred fixing himself an omelette with kimchi. "Good morrow, Master Kuro. How was your night?" 

"Thoughts about this Chad fucker kept me up throughout most of the night... I have a feeling I'm about to be pulverized to a quivering pulp," he replied stoïcly. 

"Well, I'm going to the Butlers and Maids' Luncheon later. To tide me over, I'm fixing an omelette with kimchi. To be frank, I don't see why you don't like kimchi..."

"It's complicated. I like cabbage in ramen, but I can't do kimchi or sauerkraut; it tastes odd to me, you know. Maybe I'm not a huge fan of pickled veggies..." 

"Your father had a disdain for pickled vegetables, whereas your mom enjoyed them. When she was pregnant with you, she ate marshmallow fluff AND mayonnaise on top of kimchi!" 

Kuro's eyes grew big. "Why the ever-loving FUCK did I crave that shit...?" he thought to himself. 

"Don't sweat it -- my mother craved pickles coated in caramel, as well as Mountain Dew ice cream with cold, cold gravy with a side of saveloys! One day, she even craved fish and chips with chocolate-covered currants on top, as well as another day, she craved Walker's crisps with salad cream."

"If our relationship goes well, I wonder what Taiga will crave, if she carries our child? Or children? She'll probably crave something just as weird, like Flamin' Hot Cheetos and marshmallow fluff. Or chocolate syrup and calamari..."

"Probably," Al replied. "I saw one pregnant lady eating her version of a dagwood. It was crusty French bread with ramen, slivered sardines, prosciutto, Kewipe mayonnaise, kimbap, kimchi, pickled cucumber, takoyaki, crab sticks, peanut butter, karaage chicken, currant jelly, Saku-Puffs, Pokémon fruit snacks, and processed cheese spread. If I didn't have a strong stomach, I would've lost my appetite!" 

Kuro looked disgusted; he threw up in his mouth. He thought to himself, 'If we ever fucking procreate, I'm in a for a wiiiiild ride! She might crave weirder.' 

Alfred plated his egg-and-kimchi breakfast. "Yep. The reason why we craved the stuff we did will forever be a mystery. Wanna hear more." 

"That was disgusting. Tell me more!" 

"One teenage mom I saw was dipping a sub sandwich in kombucha." 

"I don't see how people drink kombucha; it tastes like a sickening mixture of piss and fruit-flavoured alc. It's supposed to be good for you. I still can't believe that notion." 

"Then I saw another eating fries topped with squid ice cream and gravy! She was in her mid-20s though, plus, it was before you were born." 

And so, Alfred kept on and on and on about the pregnant-lady cravings. Kuro was still listening to the nasty convo about the odd food fetishes, no longer thinking about his upcoming kerfuffle with Chad. He's just amazed by what people will eat when having a baby bump.
