A fierce man dressed in a military uniform stood next to Lady Shamhat on her throne, "Lady Shamhat, how shall our militia deal with Kens? We must cross the Kens bridge in order to get to Krester," he mentioned.

Lady Shamhat crossed her legs and stared emotionlessly, "By force, our military shall kill anyone obstructing our path; however, if you fail to forcefully get through Kens, we have the means to forcefully get to Krester," she declared as she was being served wine.

The man started to feel nervous, "Yes, yeah. That- that will do, ma'am. Our military will do everything it can to fulfill your wishes. As the general, I solemnly swear to my beautiful Lady Shamhat that I will do everything in my power to do so," he said while stuttering.

Lady Shamhat dropped her glass of wine; the glass broke on the floor, "How come you didn't grab my glass of wine as it fell? Did you not just swear on your life?" she said as she menacingly stared at him.

The man kneeled in front of her, "Lady Shamhat, I promise you. I am addicted to your words, I am addicted to your person, I am addicted to everything that represents you. Every night, I always dream of-" he cried.

In the blink of an eye, his body fell to the ground. Minced like garlic, despite the lack of movement in Lady Shamhat, his life was taken away in a swift strike.

Lady Shamhat stood up from her throne and walked toward one of her guards, "I have some food for them, please release them to my throne room, and let them enjoy every single bite of the feast I've prepared for them," she said as she walked away.

An abandoned bunker on the outskirts of Krester, three people who risked their lives to figure out the mysteries of their world, and one of them who saw the end of the light. There was rain, there was pain and there was fear.

Kezdar had owned a bunker in the outskirts of Krester for a while, it was never taken care of, so the place was quite torn down, but it held up enough for them to hide out. Earlier in the day, a warrant was issued across Choshire.

"As of today, the names of Kezdar, Eve, and Enkita are to be reported to Lyririe immediately for arrest, these three have committed treason against the highest ruling royalty in Choshire, and it shall not be tolerated. A big reward is set for any clues that may lead to their arrest," a loudspeaker declared.

Now, they were both just laying out in a bed inside the bunker, traumatized about the events that happened, puzzled about what to do next, and where to go.

Kezdar stared at a book, it was the one Eve always carried with her. The one book she let Enkita read, "To think we met two days ago and shit's already exploding," he exclaimed.

Enkita was laying in bed, in pain, simply staring at the wall next to him. He slowly watched time pass as Kezdar attempted to clean up and make something to eat, "We're wanted criminals now, staying here isn't going to cut for long. I know it's hard that Eve is gone, but I'm not going to give you the same bullshit talks everyone will give ya," he exclaimed.

"I've lost a fair amount of people, my parents, allies, and whatever you can think of. Everyone just tells me the same shit whenever it happens, but I already know that they aren't coming back, that's reality. I know it sounds pessimistic, but let me speak. Those people that died, they died for a reason, right? Eve told me how she joined this trip only because of you, meaning that whatever goal you had, she was ready to give up whatever to get you to it," Kezdar said as he prepared some soup.

Enkita looks at Kezdar, "Kezdar, you told me exactly the same thing everyone says. People die for a reason, what a joke. No one wants to die and if they die, they have their own goals. It's not like she just gave up everything because of me, she just used her powers and died. She died because of me, I got myself into a dire situation, and you guys decided to save me. This happens to me all the time, I do something idiotic, and end up having to be saved. Over and over," Enkita said as he punched the wall.

Kezdar served the two bowls of soup on the table, "What the hell you plan to do then? Lay down in this excuse of a shelter while you whine about someone's death? You're one hell of a loser if you think like that, maybe that's why you need saving all the time. Because you can't think for yourself, life ain't going to be happy all the time, and nothing's going to go your way. But you can always flush shit down the shitter," Kezdar exclaimed.

Enkita continued to cry while staring at the ground, "That's a weird analogy to use during some inspirational talk. I know what you're saying, I don't know if she told you, but a friend of mine called Uli disappeared one day, she used to be everything to me, she saved me whenever I was in trouble, and I was never able to repay her kindness. For that reason, I decided to sign up for Stilleto, and even that failed. I am a failure after all," he cried.

Kezdar sat on the chair next to the table to get ready to eat, "You can always repay now, now that you're alive. Hell, I never had someone care about me that much in my life here. I just seen many people die and leave me at this point, nothing much I can do but take their wishes with me and fight for what they believed in, y'know? If anythin', Eve was already weak, and I think she wanted to use the remaining amount of her life for something meaningful," he said as he ate.

Enkita remembered how Eve wasn't able to handle the power of her Hegira, she was strong enough to make it seem as though she could handle it, but inside she was hurting. Every hour of acting as if it was nothing, came back to haunt her when she most needed that power.

Kezdar pointed at a second bowl of soup that he had prepared for Enkita, "Eat up before it gets cold, I am surprised we got supplies down here, but it'll only last us today," he exclaimed as he finished his plate.

Enkita walked toward the table and sat down, "So, do you have a plan? Because of our powers, we're being chased out of this town, and I haven't gone out much. I don't know what we can do," Enkita said while looking down at his bowl.

Knocking sounds came from the door, "The timing could not get any better," he said as he rushed toward the door. As he opened the door, a young woman with blonde hair was at the doorstep. She waved at both of them as Kezdar welcomed her inside the bunker, "Who's that? What?" Enkita said, confused.

"This is Lilian, she's someone I met sometime, and she has a similar goal. She lost her sister a while back, just out of nowhere, and she ended up as a reject because she lost the person she depended on. Y'know, they just throw out anyone who isn't royal enough, so she's been in Krester despite having royal blood, fucked up," Kezdar exclaimed.

Lilian kept waving at Enkita, "Yup, that's right on the dot! A few years ago, my sister just - disappeared, she never came back from a trip, and everyone just acted like they didn't know her. I'm over all the crying, who knows what happened! She always told me to be myself regardless of what happened, so I'm here to be your cute guide," she said happily.

Enkita looked at her, "Guide? Guide for what? How did she find us?" Enkita questioned as he tried to eat the soup.

"I told her that if anything bad happened, that she should come to my bunker, and guessing by the fact that the one and only Lilian has finally revealed her face, she heard the announcement those losers made on us," Kezdar laughed.

They all talked about themselves and the events that had unfolded for hours on end. Enkita talked about the time he ate a worm by accident and Uli was furious, the time Kezdar stole from royal guards to eat, and the times Lilian was scolded for messing up instructions.

Enkita wanted to be independent all the time, but he started to realize that maybe a group would help him achieve his goals. A group based on the people he cared about, a group with people who shared similar goals, a group who would have each other's backs whenever.

He is strong, he always wants to do everything, and he always wants to make himself useful in every situation. He loved hard labor, he built his home and helped people find resources to build their own during the earlier days of Krester.

Kezdar is always cool, he might seem careless, but he's always looking out for others in every situation. His favorite hobby is writing, although he never managed to write something due to the nature of his everyday life.

He managed to stay in Lyririe by barely managing to pay his living in time, he would steal Lyririe technology and sell it to Kens, and he's now reputable in Kens due to his work for them. Lilian helped him find a job in Kens after he tried to steal from her.

Lilian has always been seen as the dumb girl who tried to eat a rock, despite that she's a very loving and kind person, she tries to help as much as she can even if it means the possibility of her messing up. To spend time, she loved going out with her friends and doing all kinds of things.

After a few hours, all of them had talked enough to the point where they felt as if they were long-time best friends. Despite everything happening around them, they were still able to talk to each other so passionately.

"So, it's set. We will be going to Kens for safety, they don't care about what Lyririe says, and you two have a reputation there, so it should be safe for us to go there. If we don't find Uli, if we don't find your parents, and if we don't find your sister, we will go all over Choshire until we do find them. Everyone's good with the plan?" Enkita exclaimed.

Lilian had a big grin on her face, "That settles it, we will head out there tomorrow! Azura cares more about us than any of these people here, he gave us food when we needed it, a place to sleep, a way to live, and this is when we most need it!" she said as she hugged them both.

Kezdar laughed, "I feel like a dad, I'm so proud of ya'll. I'm about to cry, I'm about to," he said as he continued to laugh.

As the night rolled, they fell asleep in different places in the bunker. Kezdar was on the floor, Enkita was on the table, and Lilian was sound asleep on the bed. They made sure to eat and prepare resources for the journey to Kens, the bridge between Krester to Kens was pretty big, and they needed to cross it to get to Kens. Kezdar and Lilian estimate the travel time to be less than a day, but it could take longer if the weather is bad.

Despite whatever happened, they were all happy to know that they had each other. Even though they had just met, they were hopeful for the future, and what the world would bring to them.

Life is not forgiving but doing nothing about it is not the way to solve it. Those with enough determination will live through and fulfill all their dreams, even after death.
