I looked up at him shocked. Taking a step back, he cocked his head, forming an odd smile on his face. He chuckled and returned to grab the tray, saying, "Henry dear, you need to control your temper better." He came back over to me and set it down on my lap. "I felt bad for what I had done, so I prepared a small meal for you!" he cheerfully exclaimed.
My eyes squinted as I looked down at the food, suspecting that something was not right. On the tray, there appeared to be some kind of beef soup and a cup of liquid. There was a strong smell of alcohol in the liquid, but owing to the darkness of the cup, I was unable to determine what color the drink was. "What is in this food? Tell me now Akabe." I referred to him by his surname. He has a very odd surname, Akabe. What are his parent's first names then? What other names would go with the surname Akabe?
He giggled. "Don't worry Henry dear! This contains regular beef, not human." He exclaimed. I turned my attention back to the food, uncertain whether his assertions were accurate. He spoke again. "There is beer in the cup!" I raised my eyebrows.I've never seen Jun drink, so did he go out just to get this for me? Why? The thought was swept aside as I picked up the cup and downed the beer. I then set the cup down and exhaled. He chuckled.
When I heard him chuckle, I glared at him.Sighing, I picked up the food and scooped up some beef and broth. It smelled pretty good, and it's been awhile since I've had anything like this. I can hardly afford any food. After taking a deep breath, I placed the spoon in my mouth. The food tastes pretty good. I looked up at him. "Did you purchase this or make it yourself?" I asked. He had a grin now plastered across his face.
"I made this food myself!" I blinked then looked back at the food in disbelief. Huh, I never knew he could cook. Then again, I get so annoyed with him that I do not listen when he tries to speak with me. "Do you like it?" He asked. It pains me to admit it, but this is quite good.I responded by giving him a slight nod. Hehppily clapped his hands, pleased with my response.
