After walking around the park, Nikki and Shawn returned home. Nikki is still restless as a result of the story Garreth told her. 

"Hey gluttonous beast, why is Nikki like that?" Dean asked Shawn. 

"I honestly don't know." 

"What do you mean you don't know? I'll be kicked out if they find her like that. Geez." Dean then approached Nikki. 

"Hey, are you okay?" 

"What would your reaction be if you found out your mother was murdered?" Nikki asked. 

Dean asked, "Is this about your mother?" Nikki gave a nod. 

"Well, at least Jade is there to be your mother, as for me, she left," Dean stated. Nikki made a sad expression at Dean.

Nikki asked, "What... happened?" Dean's face shows a bit of sadness to it.

"She left us when Jade and Ian were only a month old," Dean explained. 

"Why?" Nikki asked. 

"Well, ask her if you see her. I'm off." Dean abruptly left, leaving Nikki confused. 

Nikki went out on a moon night again. She couldn't stop thinking about Dean's mother. She was walking to the park when she came across two female elders. 

"Oh, Reese? Is that you?" 

"Who are you calling Reese?" the elder asked her friend. "Reese? She's long gone, Agatha. I'm sorry she mistook you for someone else." She apologized.

Agatha protested, "But she just looked like her."

"Do you know who my mother is?" 

"She's your mother?" Nikki nods quickly.

"Reese? Yes, she is, can you tell me anything about her?" Nikki asked. The two hesitated but saw the eagerness in Nikki's eyes that they couldn't resist.

"Well, your mother, along with her sisters, is a wonderful cat." 

"Sisters?" Nikki asked. 

"Yes, Reese, Ruby, and Rose, and they're inseparable," the lady explained. 

"They served as our leaders back in the day, protecting us against those vicious male felines, but all greatness comes to an unexpected end. When she had you, the enemies tried to kill you as a starting point towards Reese, but she's adamant on protecting you. I'm supposed to say you're under Meave's care, aren't you?" the lady asked. 

"No, I'm under Jade's care," Nikki replied, "and who is Maeve?" 

"Nikki, that's all we know, perhaps you can ask Jade, the person you're referring to," the lady advised.
