Creag Darroch usually hangs out at the Pooka Tower; one day, a group of V.T.F.U appeared, heading to a very special and dark Hell’s Tower. ( sometimes, the V.T.F.U will do outside work in place of the Y.C.U) This peculiar Tower was in Volvagia; in 2020, it was known as Ireland. The citizens of Volvagia call this tower the ‘Pookas Tower.’
Old Volvagia myths and legends state that Pookas is a type of fairy creating chaos in the mortal world. The legend states that on a good day, it would only destroy cattle and other livestock, maybe some of the surrounding areas on the farms. On a Pookas bad day, they would wait outside of cottages calling the names of those who'd lived in the houses, and if you answered the call of the Pookas, it would take you away from where it lived, and you would never be seen again.
In the end, the villagers warned and pleaded not to head there. They shouted out to the group, stating they would surely die. There were serval women who kneeled at their feet crying gold tears. By the time the group had reached their destination, it was mid-afternoon. The tower was in a very shady cove in the woods. The woods had a very dreary feeling to it; it sent shivers down every single member.
The tower was fifty feet tall. It was cloaked in ivy, and near the entrance, it was surrounded by fog. By the time they reached the gate, they heard a loud shrill scream. Most of them just said it was the wind, a never-ending ear-piercing wind, soon followed by a terrifying earth-splitting growl.
Out of nowhere, a young man around his mid-twenties appeared to be laughing at them. He was dressed in a green long-sleeve shirt that had two minor cuts on the shoulders. He wore a vest made of light brown leather; on each side, there were Celtic knots engraved on both sides of the vest. ( just one strand of Celtic knots.) He wore dark brown cargo-like pants.
He wore green and black boots, at least up to his knees. The lace of the boots went from the top to the bottom. ( I bet those are a pain to tie.) On his left boot, he has the Serch symbol. This symbol shows you are in touch with your emotions and relationships, and it is also a symbol of everlasting love. ( you’ll meet him again later on, yeah, he can be a jerk.) On his right boot, he has the Dara Celtic knot. This name came from the Irish word ‘Doire,’ which means oak tree; celts and druids revered nature, particularly oak trees.
Oaks were sacred to the Celts and druids; this knot symbolizes strength, power, and wisdom. Since the Dara Celtic knot symbolizes the oak tree's roots, it is the same symbol for inner strength. Both knots are also colored gold, a fiery gold, which makes them easier to see. ( now, let's get back to the rest of his description. Sigh.)
He also wears a cloak of different colored greens, which sometimes makes him blend in with the forest background. His skin was pale. His muscles shone like a not-well-built man or a slim man but in between. His hair was long, and the hair itself was blonde, but the blonde was like the sun.
He had it up in a ponytail but a very messy one. The band he was using had the Celtic Tree of Life hanging from that band. Now this symbol forms a potent earthy symbol for the celts and druids, while its branches and roots symbolize balance and harmony; it represents strength, longevity, and wisdom; they also believed it symbolized rebirth ( because of the seasons and the cycle the seasons created.) But what caught the attention of the V.T.F.U was his eyes; they had a very dark green tint, but they also had some very dark blue that reminded them of the angry sea. To be exact, it looked like a stormy ocean had crashed into a forest.
It is said that he took time to example how everything works. And how he was also involved with the order of towers. It worked like this:
1: A lord's escort chose a king or queen's candidate ( Creag Darroch is a lord's escort.)
2: A gatekeeper would follow this candidate to ensure order and return the tower to the Neither World.
3: The candidate had to prove their worth in the tower to ensure the B.U.B.A was safe.
4: If the tower excepted the candidate was a worthy queen or king, they would be known as such after the conquering of that tower.
After explaining this to them, he also explains their upcoming doom. They died in the end, and the recovery team was able to collect the data they had left. The shrill screaming end was nonother than a banshee, warning of their death. And the growl was of a pookas in a wild dog form. Thanks to this, the world has learned more than ever in a long time.
So who am I, you may ask? My name is Flos Lilium Clavis. I'm a Gate-Keeper. And I'm going to change the fate of this cruel world. While I may be a Gatekeeper, I'm known as an extinct Gatekeeper. Meaning my ability is useless; it no longer exists.
The only thing that I can do is look at a monster and basically have a dictionary that pops up in my mind telling me everything about that creature, how to kill it or tame it, and its breeding habits. It's helped me survive this long and will keep helping me survive. However, it doesn't always work because I'm a half-baked gatekeeper.
Now come along; I nearly tripped twice; it's time to continue in the present time, not the past. And my poor voice is in need of great rest. Welcome to the adventure of the Great Era of Towers.
You know, sometimes going into detail of certain characters or objects such as backgrounds, makes me feel like I got possessed by the ghost of J.R.R Tolkein.
I mean that guy would go into pages about one subject. Which easily bored me, yet they ended being able to make such good movies from those description. Which is why he inspired me to write. So dear readers forgive me going into to great detail of my characters and towers.
So as they say in Germany... Guten Nacht und bis später.
It's your story so add as much details as you want about your characters and the world they live in... The more the details there are, the better the image that is painted in our heads about the story. Anyways love the story so far, it intrigues me✨
The world is near the end. People have lost hope and have been living in a chaotic and dark world. Wars are never ending, people are like live stock to the rich and powerful.
One day from the depths of earth the most beautiful, awe inspiring towers appear. The people call them edens, but these edens have a dark and terrifying serect. Will these towers bring a new age, a new hope. Will they bring good and wise kings and queens. Or will the world finally end.
