Luna barely contained her excitement and gave a tiny pat on the creatures head. "Welcome!" She whispered, not to startle the baby any further.
She then proceeded to explain how she had been on a stroll one day and found an egg on the ground with a crack on it.
She was hoping that the damage wasn't too bad and carried the egg gingerly back home.
Luna then made a nest (it was an egg after all) and placed it and the egg under a heating lamp. This she had hoped would do the job but now she could just wait.
