Ahh…. Another beautiful day in the humble yet energetic town of Orujinshinaka. Today, we find a little bundle of joy scouting the skies on this beautiful day. Mellisa, Orujinshinaka's resident sunflower, sat neatly with her decorated pair of beauty binoculars. Next to her was a sketchbook, open with pages filled to the brim with sketches. As she sat on her porch with her eyes glued to the glass, a robin nestled atop a nearby branch. The little bird ruffled its feathers before picking some morsels embedded in the grain.
Mellisa's eyes widened. She dropped her sketchbook on her lap and began drawing. Mellisa had learned some techniques since the last we met. Details and techniques were her latest lesson, with skills embedded in "Impression." Mellisa made sure to catch every detail of the delicate little bird. But then, a large cloud blocked her view. Mellisa tilted her head from her binoculars to find it was her grandmother. Granny Josephine, Mellisa's diminutive caregiver, stood in front of her, dressed in unusual garb.
"Put the scribbles away, nieta," Granny Jojo bespoke, "It's Park Day, and I don't want to miss the Take-Off Tennis Open!"
"Oh!" Mellisa exclaimed with a cute little yelp. She had forgotten today was Park Day. Spending an entire Saturday on a science project can make a girl forgetful. In seconds, Mellisa packed up her things and dashed inside. She would make a swift return, with bags in hand and a preppy attitude.
"Hi-Ho! Hi-Ho!" she'd shout, "To the park, we go!"
“Life can be a beautiful thing to cherish. But nothing can match the pure beauty of having your best friend right there by your side.”
Living in Orujinshinaka can be a stressful time, especially with a certain champion of the universe wreaking havoc. Their adventures may not be as crazy or action-packed, but these polar opposites can always find a way to make each day the best day ever. Just as long as Julianna doesn’t blow a gasket…
With Mellisa & Julianna around, redheads can’t have all the fun.
