A new enemy... perhaps the most dangerous of all. Because Lily has faced snakes, martens, dogs, even a cat... but what's arrived now is a big male, and he's a warrior.

Nothing is stronger than a momma cat that protects her kittens. Not the case here. Just wanted to add. That big guy sure would be in a pickle if Lilly would have kittens. My neighbor had a tiny cat. Her mom wasn't bigger either. One day the kittens were given fish and they were happily nomming on it. Mama was nearby, but not really in sight. A stray male thought that stealing food from the kittens will be a piece of cake. He hissed at them... Seconds later the big guy was lying, dying with an open throat. Momma cat didn't agree with him. Oops. Owners said, that after the successful kill she bit off a piece of the male's tail, but did not eat it. Yup, she was a psycho. And her daughter was one as well. But I loved her anyway. Thought I share this story, this is one of my favorites.
