"So, what happened there?" asked Tsuneo, looking at Yuume. "You're pale as a wall and dressed up like you were going to some wedding. I have some questions, Ume."
"This yubiwa, who saved you, is dead" replied Yuume queitly, staring through the window. "It upset me, Tsu."
"Because you like him?" asked Tsuneo. "Shoguri said something about this yesterday."
"Probably" Yuume was still staring through the window.
"Do you know, how?" Tsuneo turned left.
"They can't tell me anything" replied Yuume. "Even what's his real name."
"So, what do you plan to do?" asked Tsuneo. "Save him?"
"I think so" Yuume nodded. "I don't know, Tsuneo. I don't like this situation. I don't like that I can't thank someone, who saved you, Tereya and Shiori."
"Hotaru and Yuuta too" added Tsuneo. "I mean, Yuuta was born long after that accident. If something like that had happened, he wouldn't even exist."
"Did you make poor Tereya three children?" Yume was surprised.
"She wanted them, so I did" replied Tsuneo, parking the car. "Help you get upstairs?"
"You don't have to" Yuume got out of the car. "But someone should explain the situation to Shoguri and all I want to do is feed Heiwa, take a shower and go to sleep."
"As you wish" Tsuneo closed the car. "Yuume?"
"What?"
Tsuneo put a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't get too involved in this" he said calmly. "I don't want you to spend the next five years raising money to save another person."
Yuume nodded, but he knew that he was lying. It was too late to not to be invested emotionally in this case.
When he came back home, he left Tsuneo with Shoguri and went to feed Heiwa. He waved goodbye to his brother and headed to the bathroom, completely ignoring his friend, who was trying to find out more, but Yuume really didn't have the energy for it.
As soon as he came out of the bathroom, he saw that Shoguri had summoned their friends and unfortunately had to abandon his plan to go to sleep. Even if he was in his white button-down pajamas at that moment and his blond hair still hadn't dried out.
"So this traumatised, cute, sad asshole with tendencies to hanging off a tree is dead?" asked Shoguri, when Yuume explained them everything. "And what now?"
"I still have his bell" announced Yuume. "I can call him and..."
"And?"
"And give him some commission" explained Yuume. "Maybe if I give him more commissions, it'll somehow change the past and he won't die."
"Do you even have money for that, Yuume?" asked Rencha. "You have to still pay for the previous task, right?"
"Yes, but..." Yuume crossed his arms on his chest. "I have an impression that... That I know, why Kin is dead."
"Is he sick?" asked Akiichi.
"He has nightmares" Yuume made some steps. "In one of them... He hurt himself."
"And what? He admitted to doing this in the reality?" asked Kyuko. "If yes, he's sick. In his head."
"Kyuko" Rencha scolded her.
"And how should I call it?" Kyuko shrugged.
"Yuume, if Kin killed himself, you can do nothing" said Shoguri. "You can't calm his thoughts down. You can't help him."
"I can show him that the world isn't that bad" said Yuume. "I can also be wrong and he's dead because of something else. I want to try. I don't want to leave him alone."
"And what, if you can't do it?" asked Akiichi. "I don't want you to grieve again."
"Take some time at least" said Rencha.
"Rencha is right" Shoguri nodded. "Drink the potion. Spend some time with Tsuneo and his kids. Take a breath. If you're going to meet with Kin in Midtimes in such condition, it won't work."
"I know that" admitted Yuume. "I didn't plan to call him right now. How could I show him that the world is beautiful, if I want to destroy it in this moment?"
"Eh, you got into hot water" Kyuko shook her head, sipping her coffee. "We're gonna make a lot of plum compot."
Yuume smiled to her slightly. Probably he would laugh because of what she said, if he wasn't feeling dizzy again.
