Story, concept, & characters by Lost and Safe, or Oziel Esparza-Peralta
Throughout the story there are various character names, records, posters, etc. that are allusions to bands and artists that exist in our world. These allusions are in no way meant to detract or plagiarize from their work in any way; the intent is to pay homage to these acts that have greatly inspired me. At the end of the credits are listed all of the groups that are significantly alluded to. I highly encourage the reader to check out their work, if they are so inclined.
“Not Waving but Drowning” is a poem by Stevie Smith (1902-1971), originally published 1957. The quotation of this poem can be considered fair use, as its implementation was transformative and does not detract from the work of Ms. Smith. If the reader would like to read more of her work, this poem and many others can be found in “Collected Poems” (ISBN: 978-0811208826), to name just one in publication.

Dedicated to James Beauchamp, Robbie Thompson, and all the others who never quite “fit” in.
The past will catch up with you, and the way you respond to this pressure is the spirit of "Halcyon; Everything Is"
In this world of anthropomorphic characters, we explore tales of people accepting and recounting their life's story. Music is a recurring theme that helps to set the tone. People are more complex than the roles they are pushed into.
With each chapter is an emotional journey involving very personal and deep moments of introspection from it's core characters. The way these personalities, backstories, and struggles coincide and work together is what connects this collection of tales.
Truly, in the most literal sense, everything... is.
