Kuro was at the apartment complex Taiga lives in. He looked around a bit only to see her in khaki cargo shorts and her same Itachi shirt she wore once. She grinned, "Oh. Hi, Kuro."
"Hi, Tai. What are you doing? Nice getup! So, where's your dad?"
"I live on my own. Because I looked like my mother, my dad told me to leave. He couldn't take the death of her. He still helps me financially. Phone bill, rent, food, etc."
"Taiga?" A guy was surprised. It was Chad, Taiga's ex. He scolded, "Who's this faggot? You know your dad doesn't want guys at your house!"
"Then why are you here?" Kuro retorted.
"I'm just here to beat you into a quivering, bloody pulp," he replied, shrugging. "Tell you what: If you win, I'll leave peacefully. If I win, I tell her dad about you being here. I have him on speed-dial, and I can speak to him in Hungarian." (Her father's Hungarian and English.)
Kuro nodded and jumped in front of him. "Okay. I accept. But let's not go to the playground with that. We don't want the latté-drinking, whining, bitching soccer moms calling the cops."
The two got on a grassy hill by the empty, mostly-red playground. No children were there, luckily. The two squared up. Kuro stood in an unorthodox stance; Chad stood in southpaw. Taiga looked worried at the two, hoping Kuro doesn't get hurt.
Kuro charged at him with a knee, but Chad swiflty dodged it and did a circle throw. He then tried a 12-6 elbow on him, but garnet-eyes countered with a left hook. He then threw punches to him, but Chad dodged most of them. Till then... KAPOW! Kuro performed a spinning heel kick in the liver, causing Chad to fall back and take an L.
"I give, I give!" he cried in defeat.
Kuro then went to go shake hs hand. He believes in sportsmanship to a tee. Taiga warned him, "Kuro, it's a trick!"
Chad dragged him on the geound and attempted a rear-naked choke. But Kuro had somewhat of a knack for escaping these holds. He flipped him down and reversed it on him, similar to how Khabib Nurmagomedov did Dustin Poirier. Kuro let him go after 5 seconds.
Chad made a parting shot. "I'll get you in the ring one day! Mark my God damn words! When that day comes, I'll kill you!" He ran off. "MOOOOOOMMY!!!"
Kuro said to Taiga, "Thought he'd be a badass ruffian Turns out he'll cry to his mom. Ah, well. Least his mom's still alive compared to mine. Wait till Kamarudeen and Kyushi hear this!" He changed the subject. "So how did you meet Chad?"
"I met him at a McDonald's here. He just wanted my dad's money because of the fact he couldn't get a job, which is why we broke up. He was the shortest-lasting relationship I ever had."
"Why is that?"
"Anger issues. He has anger issues. Plus, he was a dark empath. He used my mom's death against him, which was the final straw." Her orange phone rang. 'Wake Me Up Inside' by Evanescence was the ringtone. She pickwd up her phone. "Hullo?"
A New York accent pierced through the phone. "Ah, Taiga. How are you doing? I want you to meet me for dinner. It's an important occasion."
"What kind?"
"You'll see. Bring that Kuro guy you've been talking about, too. I wanna see if he's up to par to be your beau, kay?"
"Yes, sir. I'll be there in a bit. See you then." She hung up. She turned to Kuro. "My dad wants to see us. It's very, very important."
"Oh, ok. I'll come with you." And the two left the apartment complex to go to Taiga's dad's house on the other side of Tokyo. Because of how big it is, it'll probably take a while.
