"One drop of Viper Vanilla Extract" Akire instructed, pointing over at the tiny bottle seated on Prince's side of the table, Prince picking up said bottle and doing as told, adding the ingredient into the small black pot held above a flaming bunsen-burner with a tripod.
At the current moment, Akire and Prince stood in one of the labs dedicated to one of the potion-making and alchemy classes whilst Kitten, Lali and Gamer were also in the room, sitting at another countered-table on high stools, taking the opportunity to both watch the witchdoctor teach Prince potion-making but also using the time to both study and catch up on school work.
"Right, now... carefully add the Shimmer Blossom bud" Akire said and before Prince picked up the flower bud with his hands "The tongs!" the witchdoctor panic-ly snapped making the other flinch a little from her burst of worry before picking up the metal tongs beside him, used them to pick up the bud then carefully dropped it into the crystal water of the pot. The liquid immediately ate away at the flower bud like acid before turning into a beautiful shade of crystal pink. "There you go, mid-strength love potion" the witchdoctor breathed, slightly relived she had survived the 'lesson' whilst Prince excitedly beamed in joy "I did it!" he smiled "Yeah, you made a love potion that only lasts a day whilst also scaring the absolute shit out of your 'teacher'" Lali stated, turning the page of her history textbook whilst Prince eyed her with a frown. "Why are you doing this anyway?" Gamer found himself accidentally asking, head turning towards the two standing over by the lethal potion lesson "My powers can only do so much and last for so long" Prince started, holding up both his hands as they glowed both a mixture of pink and red "And I get the whole 'with a lot of practice, you'll be stronger' thing, but I'm kinda a very impatient guy" he stated, now gesturing to himself. Kitten lifted his head up, ears perking up and listening in on the conversation "And with the news about you being the 'Light Spirit' now officially out in the open, some people need a boost for both their powers and weapons" Lali stated, pointing her pen at Gamer for a second before continuing her writing. "True- both Erik and Ianthe are pushing for the ego course students for harder combat training and defence in pe, that all starts in the next week or so" Kitten chimed in "Exciting" a sarcastic tone hung off Akire's response to the news of more training during pe classes.
Now that Gamer thinks about it, he realised the huge difference between a handful of people and the rest of all three fourth-year ego classes.
Both Mangle and Angel had the Light Stone and Dark Stone constantly on their bodies now.
Seraphina, Skyler and Death all had godstones.
And now Gamer himself, after unknowingly and accidentally unlocking his creation and lysdon powers which had been dormant for years, was just recently named as a divine.
Yes, his whole class has improved a lot but the six of them had the most advantage.
And the chilling warehouse footage he was shown back in Heaven- along with seeing himself transform into that bright light.... seeing Angel turn into this dark goddess being and repelled all of the Grey Leader's blasts, and Death's 'God Mode' and him somehow forcing the paralysing fear into both Mia and Elisa to protect the fallen and Seraphina, it scared a lot of people but seeing that new side of Death himself.... he didn't feel scared or horrified. He couldn't exactly describe it, but it was something.
Deep in the pit of his stomach. And it had stayed there as a tiny lingering flame, only growing a little brighter at the thought or mention of that version of the ripper and then there was also another version of the ripper that had been plaguing his mind.
Death pulled the fallen close to him, and as the music played, they started to dance. Bodies locked and moving in sync. Eyes lost in each others yet only focused on the other and them alone....
That.... that exact moment, the two of them and them alone.
Gamer bundled up a bit of the sleeve of his hoodie into his hand before pressing it against his face as it grew warm.
Then that brings up all the other moments, their moments; awkward, embarrassing and the dangerously close to their plain harmless moments of before and after their arrival to the Mid Realm. It was all too confusing to work it all out now.
"So if I can find a way to boost my powers or make it more effective, I stand a better chance if there is a sudden attack on the school or something- Bonnie's even going to help me perfect my aim with my arrows" Prince stated, watching Akire as she showed him how to safely bottle his newly made potion "He's right though" Lali stated through a murmur as Gamer turned his head to the emrone demon. Lali finally lifted her head "Along with all this new shit, both the Grey Army and Killens are gonna find out and start upping their game" the emrone stated "Meaning we need to improve our shit, and you need to learn to control your divine powers to perfection" Lali stated as the fallen's eyes flicked down to his books.
Perfection?
How can he perfect something he hasn't even learned yet?
Gamer glanced down at his right hand, faintly seeing the edge of the star tattoo on his wrist, thinking to himself for a moment "Right, let's move on to a more powerful potion" Akire signed whilst a gleam of excitement glimmered in Prince's eyes. "S̶͔̀t̷̠͘a̵̧̎r̵̞̊l̷̺͛i̶̛̘ğ̷̙h̸͇̀ṯ̵̈~" Gamer's head immediately shot up, looking around the room yet no one moved from what they were doing; Akire was teaching Prince the next potion in her book and both Kitten and Lali had their heads down in their books again. "S̶͔̀t̷̠͘a̵̧̎r̵̞̊l̷̺͛i̶̛̘ğ̷̙h̸͇̀ṯ̵̈" he glanced back behind himself yet nothing.
...a prank maybe? But the only people who know about that being a personal nickname is his classmates whilst now... the rest of the world knows it as his divine name.
Gamer pulled out his phone.
Isra Hollows:
Hey
Where are you right now?
I'm in the library with Death, Leo,
Lexi and Tanith.
Studying.
Why?
Nothing
Think someone's playing a prank on me,
that's all
Gamer lifted his eyes off his phone, looking at the other four again as he thought to himself.
The voice.... it was a grown man's yet it sounded so rough and cold, a harsh whisper. Looking around at his friends, he knew none of them could make such voice.
The fallen's phone buzzed, dragging his eyes back down to its screen.
Death:
You alright?
Isra said something about a prank?
Everything's fine, Death
Go back to your studying
'Okay, that confirms that he's with Isra....' Gamer thought, glancing around the room again before rubbing his eyes.
Tired. Maybe that's it.
Gamer slowly stood, packing all his things back into his bag "Where you going?" Kitten questioned as Gamer shoved his phone into his pocket "Calling it an early night" the fallen answered them before making his way out the door.
Dawn's face scrunched and cringed as she looked at the brightly pink shirt hanging in front of a baby-shit green copy-cat behind it "You know you can look at other stuff, right?" Bonnie stated, walking past the human to the next clothes rack beside the one Dawn was standing at "It's bugging me though-" "Everything bugs everyone, welcome to the real world" the blue-haired angel cut the human off.
This was the second shop on the main street Dawn had been dragged into after making the mistake of making the statement that she needed to get a couple more sets of clothes (due to the limited amount she rushly packed) and asking a few of the 1A girls to show her around town a bit. In all honesty, Dawn knew it was her fault that she was in this situation now.
"Should've only just me and me alone" Angel stated from the other side of the clothes rack to Dawn "Nonsense, asking all of us was a good decision" Bonnie stated "Plus she might've came back all black and goth- no offence, Angel" "None taken" the reaper waved off the angel as Mangle and Skyler stood off to the side, staring at a display of both shiny and colourful cheap jewellery that had caught their eyes "And your pallet is clearly autumn colours" Bonnie stated. Dawn raised a brow, glancing over at Angel who rolled her eyes "Bon, she just needs a few things, she's not dressing up for a runway" the reaper told the blue-haired angel who immediately gave her a displeasing look "Really? says the girl who dressed like school-prep royalty last year" and with that statement Angel held her hands up a little before starting to walk off. "I'll be in the book section" the reaper stated, turning and disappearing into the next aisle "Angel, wait-" "Here we go" Dawn turned her head back to Bonnie who handed her a lovely creamy-brown sweater, surprisingly to Dawn... it was actually something she liked. Bonnie pulled out another sweater, this one being a button-up that was a reddish-brown, handing it to Dawn before circling around the clothes rack to look at another line of shirts whilst also asking "You like skirts too or are you just a jeans person?" "Uh.... no skirts or dresses" Dawn answered the angel, looking over at Mangle and Skyler who where happily talking, still by the cheap jewellery. "Don't worry about them, they do this all the time" Bonnie stated, flicking through the clothes-hangers "Like moths to a flame, they're attracted to anything shiny and pretty" the angel smiled to herself "Considering what they've already been through, it's great to see them being happy and excited over such little things". The blue-haired angel motioned the human to walk around and join her on the other side of the clothes rack whilst she pulled out a couple shirts for her "It's good to see that there is still hope in these realms" Bonnie stated with a bright smile as Dawn's brows drew in slight worry, looking back at the other two as they to giggle and talk with happy smiles.
