Greenlands Elementary is a school that brought many smiling faces into education. Destiny Spheres a fresh new graduate applied for a part-time job at this school as a janitor. Destiny is an African-American 19-year-old woman with a big naturally grown ponytail. Destiny is also a perfectionist and a very quiet person so she guessed the cleaning type of task would be easy for her.
Destiny was sweeping next to the boy's bathroom with a smile. Two 2nd-grade boys come out of the bathroom with something blue in one of their hands. “Hey! Misses!” yelled one of the boys towards Destiny.
Destiny loves children and would die to have some of her own. Destiney smiled at the boys and said, “How can I help you two boys?” The boy holds up the blue object and chucks it at Destiny's smiling face. She found out the boy had thrown a “urine cake” at her face as the smell started to spread. The two boys laughed while running towards the library. Even though assaulted by children, Destiny’s smile remained on he face she even began to laugh as the boys did.
Destiny’s coworkers feel concerned about her when things like that happen to her, sometimes it is even reported to the principal directly. After that little incident, Destiny sat down in the principles office sitting face to face with Principle Green. Destiny is sitting swinging her feet back and forth with the same smile still on her face while looking at the floor. “Destiny!?” Principal Green yelled getting her full attention. “Do you know why you're here?” Destiny thinks for a bit then shakes her head side to side. “No Sir.” She says. “Well,” Principle begins. “Most of the staff here including myself are worried about you. I know you’re a very positive person and you love kids and you do your job. I just feel like… I… I don’t want you to feel like you’re being used for your personality and efforts. I want you to feel comfortable ya know?” Principle Green watches Destiny look around the room thinking to herself for a second. “Any problems? Any reports? Do you want more money? More respect?”
Destiny then looks at the Principle. “Nope!” she says. The Principle gives her a worried look. “You sure?” He says. Destiny shakes her head up and down. “Ok,” Green Continues. “Well if you ever feel like this is not for you or you have a problem and you would ever like to report the students. I know you like kids but, I will not allow that type of behavior in the school. Ok?” Principle Green stands up and opens his office door for Destiny. She walks out waving at him goodbye. “Don’t be afraid to come talk to me please!” He said before she left the main office. Down the hallway, Destiny opened one of the janitor closets trying to find a mop and bucket.
It was a water trolly with a mop in it. Destiny rolls the trolly towards the gym entrance even further down the hall. She picked the mop out of the bucket with water dripping everywhere and slashed water to the wooden floor. “Whoops!” said Destiny. “Dry your mop!” someone said. Destiny turned around to reveal it was one of her coworkers, Leo. Leo is one of the better coworkers Destiny has and a longtime friend of hers too. “You nothing done like that friend!” He said pointing at the mop drainer. “This part right here drains your mop before you put it on the floor. But anyway, how ya been destiny? No one has been bothering you lately, have they?” Destiny looks at Leo with a smile and shakes her head no. “Well,” He began. “If you need anyone to talk to,” Leo then points at himself. “You know who to call!” Leo then walks up the hall towards the bathrooms.
“Wait! Leo!” yelled Destiny. Leo turned around. “Yes, you ok?” he asked. “I never asked about your day,” Said Destiny. “So how have you been Leo?” Leo then looks at Destiny with a heartwarming smile.
