I was in the hospital for a week before I was discharged. the only visitors I had were my parents and brother, they made sure no one from my coven or Nathans pack could visit me. though few had tried. 

I still had a bunch of bruises and cuts on my body, but considering I was taken to a human hospital it was better that way. I hadn't spoken to Nathan at all since that day. not even through text, in fact I had decided to completely black his number entirely. I didn't need his help with the baby, and now I definitely didn't want it. 

I spent the first few days out of the hospital packing up my room. the school I'd be going to was 5 hours away so my parents found me a small 3 bedroom apartment for my brother and I to share. it wasn't until just before I officially moved I had gotten a call from a strange number.

my phone rang. "hello?" I answered it. "Is this Amber Louis?" a male voice which sounded oddly familiar said. "yes may I ask who's calling?" I asked confused. "of course, my Name is Christopher Morningstar Alpha of the neighboring pack" he said "oh Alpha Christopher? is there something I can help you with?" I asked confused. by now I'm sure it was known at least by the surrounding packs that Nathan had caused some trouble with our coven.

"actually I was just calling to make sure you were ok after your accident a week ago... you see I was the one who you almost crashed into" he said nonchalantly. "that was you!" I said shocked "are you ok you weren't hurt in anyway right?" I asked concerned I had completely forgotten. 

"I'm fine I wasn't harmed in any way" be said "like I said I was just calling to check on you" he said concern in his voice. "I'm fine now just a few bumps and scratches" I said "and thank you" I added "if it wasn't for you my both baby and I wouldn't have survived!" I said happily. "your Pregnant?!" he said sounding shocked. "yes I'm only 2 months but it still counts, anyway seriously thank you again your a literal life saver Alpha" I said thankful. 

"Call me Chris, I hope you and I can be friends!" he said sounding honest "friends?" I said "yes" he replied. "well I guess that could work, I am moving closer to your territory" I said honestly "you are?" he asked "yes I'm going to med school down there, the school is maybe 15 minutes away from your territory" I explained. "that's definitely not to far" he said sounding oddly clever in his voice. 

"I have to go but you can save my number in your phone under Amber" I said "I'll do that I'll talk to you later Amber" he said then hung up. 'what a weird conversation' I thought to myself as I saved his number in my phone then returned to packing 

"Amber!" my mother said entering my room "are you don't packing yet" my mother asked. "Almost I just have to finish up with this box" I replied. "Boys let's go" my mother yelled out into the hallway with no warning. 

my father and brother then came into the room very sarcastically walking like soldiers, picked up some boxes then marched out. "your gonna make them do all the work?" I chuckled sarcastically. "of course they have to pull their wait some how, and we can't have you doing it, you have to enjoy your rest before school starts and the baby comes" she replied honestly. 

"mom <3" I said adoringly. then she hugged me "you know you don't have to start school now right you can wait and go back later" she said hugging me tightly. "no I have to" I replied "if I don't go now I may never" I added hugging her tightly back. "she released me from the hug. "I am only one phone call away if you need anything you know that right?" she asked tears in her eyes. "I know" I said. 

"now on a less tearful note" he said wiping her eyes "are you gonna tell Nathan your leaving?" my mother asked curiously. "no but I did text Derek and he promised not to tell Nathan, he wanted to come say goodbye but Nathan might get suspicious then" I explained. "and right now Nathan can rot in hell for all I care" I added. 

it didn't take long to finish packing and load up all 3 vehicles. I still hadn't gotten a new one after the accident, the insurance was being difficult which made me getting a new car difficult considering mine was totaled. good riddance honestly, I hated that car anyway. 

it took us a nice long 5 our drive to gets to mine and Jacksons new apartment. we didn't begin unloading thing right away, my parents wanted to see what I thought of it first. 

it was beautiful, it looked like no expense was spared in it even the room that would be the nursery was pre baby proofed. tears welled up in my eyes "hey why are you crying?" my brother asked slightly panicked. "I don't know" I said crying. "it's just that I'm only now realizing that even without it's father, this baby will be so loved and so treasured" I said crying even more. "ah I do not miss those hormones" my father said entering the apartment carrying a box. 

my mother glared at him as she also entered the apartment carrying a box "of course the baby will be loved sweety there was never any doubt of that" my mother said sweetly. "yeah I know, I'm just not exactly sure where everything goes from here" I said wiping away my tears.

that was only the beginning. from then on, that day officially began our now never ending lives of change...
