The calm before the storm. everyone knows when that is. they feel it, they sense it, and some I'm sure... can even see it. I may not have been the calm.... but I'm sure as hell the storm.
"Amber Mya Louis you are here by summoned by the Alpha counsel to attend the Alpha conference" my brother read aloud from an official letter. "you have got to be kidding me" I said annoyed "is there a reason why they're summoning me?" I asked taking the letter from his hands.
"nope it's just a summons, looks like it was even signed off by an elder from our coven" my brother said also annoyed. "mom didn't send off" I said looking at him confused. "now look at the bottom right corner" he said pointing to a signature. "f*****g Martha!" I said growing even more annoyed. "those bastards went over her head" I continued growing even more annoyed. "you know what fine" I said ripping the letter in half. "they want me there I'll go" I continued.
"you could just say you never got the letter the alpha conference is tonight" my brother said in attempt to convince me not to go. "oh no I'm going, I don't care who those Alphas think they are, they messed with the wrong witch" I replied now completely pissed.
according to law the Alpha council cannot summon me unless signed off by the leader of our coven or a high ranking elder. my mother most likely refused to sign, which left the alpha council no other choice but to go above her head to do it. which means my coven will be short one less elder by the time I'm done.
it didn't take me long to prepare for the alpha conference. I didn't dress too elegantly but I did dress nicely, considering what it was and who would be there I did it out of slight respect.
my brother was kind enough to lend me his car as I still hadn't gotten my own yet, and so I drove to Chris's territory where the alpha conference was being held.
it didn't take me long to drive there between 20 and 30 minutes because of traffic. but when I got there I was amazed. it was beautiful. I actually never been in Chris's territory, he preferred coming to see me whenever we did meet up. so this was my first time actually coming here. I parked my Brothers car on the street and locked it.
it took me a good 5 minutes to walk to his pack house from there where the alpha conference was being held. I didn't want to park close because I knew there would be a certain someone there that I did not want to see. I knew who would recognize my brother's car either way and that the chances of me seeing him were 100% but the longer I could go without seeing him the better.
I walked up to the door and since I had tore up the letter that was sent to me I showed my ID. they would have my name on the list no matter what considering I was summoned. I was letting almost immediately after confirming my identity. I was led to the ballroom we're hundreds of wolves stood. a majority of them alphas, betas, and deltas, along with their families.
it was a big ballroom. bigger than even Nathan's. it didn't take long for me to find Chris talking to another Alpha. I quickly walked up to him and he noticed me before I even got too close. "what are you doing here?" he asked confusion on his face. "you didn't know?" I asked also now confused. "know what?" he asked once more. "I was summoned by the council to come here. they didn't give me a reason or anything I assumed you knew" I explained.
"I had no idea" he said beginning to look me up and down. "but either way I'm glad you're here. you look gorgeous" he said sweetly with a light smile on his face. "thank you" I replied. "ah you must be Amber Lewis" a voice said from behind me. "yes" I said turning around. their student older man who looked to be in his 60s. "I'm elder Thomas former Alpha of the baron pack" he said elegantly. "you must know why I'm here?" I said. "yes I was one of the elders who voted to summon you" he said kindly. "then you won't mind if I asked why you send them to me the letter I received didn't State why" I said sarcastically.
"you send me her without a reason Thomas?" Chris question as he put his hand on my shoulder. "of course there's a reason Chris we just thought it would be better if we talked about it in private with the council instead of through the mail" he said looking at Chris "I'm sure you understand Ms.Lewis" he said now looking back at me.
"of course I do" I smiled lately "why don't we stop delaying any further and go talk about it now" I said trying to hurry this long "why don't we" Thomas replied then turning around "Chris is coming with me I hope you understand I just want to witness of my own for what's about to happen" I said arrogantly. "of course Ms. Lewis bring who you must" he said turning back to me and looking at the both of us questionably. I turned to look at Chris and he nodded. then we followed Thomas to the dining room. the entire Alpha council was there.
the alpha council consisted of all the previous alphas of the last generation. from my understanding it was a way for them to stay connected to the packs and are retired age or something along those lines.
"Amber Lewis right?" a man said standing up as we entered the dining room. the door shut behind us. "why am I here?" I asked. "we need to talk to you about the child you're carrying... the hybrid" the man said seriously.
Amber Lewis a young witch inspiring to be a doctor. Nathan Blood, the Alpha Of the Blood Moon pack, grew up as best friends, and eventually became lovers. but the day Amber finds out she's pregnant, everything starts to go wrong, what will happen when Amber finds out about Nathans new found mate? what will Nathan do when he finds out Amber is pregnant with his child. what will Amber think when she finds out she has a mate of her own? the plot only continues to thicken as time goes on
