After that incident I decided to put a spell on the apartment. only those who were aloud in could come in it didn't matter the race. I was held up in my room for days, afraid if I left the apartment they may find me and kill both me and the baby.
I was scared honestly. I didn't know what to think or what to do. sometimes I wished none of this ever happened. if it didn't happen I could be in med school in person instead of on a computer. my life wouldn't be in danger and I would just be living my life like normal.
suddenly my bedroom door burst open and there stood Sarah and Emily. "get up" Emily said Crossing her arms. "I'm on bed rest" I said confused. "I brought a wheelchair" Sarah said pulling one into the room. "now get up and get dressed" Sarah continued. "why?" I asked still completely confused. Emily smiled. "we're going shopping" she said.
"why?" asked once more as Emily began looking for cloths for me to wear that would actually fit, and Sarah helped me sit up on the edge of the bed. "because your 7 months pregnant and still haven't bought baby stuff" Sarah said. "so what I've been a little preoccupied" I replied. "exactly, with everyone trying to kill your child you've had no time to shop and that's why we're here" Emily said pulling and outfit out of my closet.
"I don't think..." "it'll be fine" Sarah interrupted "and honestly, you need this, you need to experience at least some of the good parts of being pregnant" she continued. "now can you get dressed yourself or do you need us to help you?" Emily asked handing me my clothes. "I got it" I said standing up then walking out of my room into the bathroom.
10 minutes later I was finally done changing. they then put me in Sarah's car and took me to the mall. once I got out of the car they made sure to stuff me into the wheel chair Sarah has brought earlier.
"ok I have a list" Emily said unfolding a piece of paper. "what's on it?' Sarah asked pushing me in the wheel chair. "crib, clothes, diapers, wipes, formula just Incase.... practically everything" she said reading the paper then looking up at Sarah. "I guess let's start with the crib" I said turning to face them. they looked at each other and smiled evilly...
suddenly they both grabbed the wheel chair and began pushing me while running. "Hey slow down" I laughed. they didn't stop until we got to the first store. "you to are crazy" I said shocked. I wasn't expecting that. "we know" they said at the same time.
they then took me into the store and we started off by looking at the cribs. "oh hey what's the gender?" Emily asked as she was now the one pushing me in the wheel chair. "hm I don't know.." I replied. she stopped. "what do you mean you don't know?" she asked. I smiled lightly, "I wanted it to be a surprise" I said honestly. "what do you want it to be?" Sarah asked. "I want it to be a little girl" I replied.
"I think it'll be a boy" Emily said. "why's that?" I asked. "I don't know I just have a feeling" Emily replied. "you know I heard that some mother's just know even before the babys born" Sarah added. "maybe" I said as I looked at a light purple crib. "I want this one" I said staring at it.
"that's a great choice" an employee said popping up out of nowhere. "that crib is top of the line, and retails at 2,000" the employee said. "it's a crib" I said annoyed. "can you just get it up to the front and we'll buy it once we get there" I said. "of course" he said quickly his eyes light up.
"let's do the changing table next" Sarah said as we walked over to where the changing tables were.
it was peaceful, finally doing something normal. I'd been so preoccupied try to come up with ways to keep the baby safe I never once thought of what we would need for when it was born. if it wasn't for Emily and Sarah, to girls I wasn't really close with but who now considered me their friend, I wouldn't be prepared for when the baby came.
we spent the whole day shopping that day and we still hadn't finished. we still needed a whole list worth, and that would be for just after the baby was born. but I wasn't to worried about it I still had some time... it did make me begin to wonder though, what should I name the baby? would it be a boy... or a girl...? if it was a boy what would I name him? Aiden? Zach? Tyler? what about if it was a girl.
it began to hit my mind how ill prepared I really was. I was lucky that Emily and Sarah were with me today but what would happen after the baby was born. I was already so excited to meet it but so scared for what might happen.
was I even ready to be a mother? "Agh I hate this!" I yelled aloud. "why does my stupid brain always have to over think?" I asked myself.
by now I was back in my apartment after a long day of shopping, just sitting on the couch in the living room, while my brother was out working at a local clinic. it was 8pm and he would most likely be home within the hour. why couldn't I just think about that instead it would be so much easier.
one thought after another, just building and building growing worse and worse. I wish I could just stop thinking sometimes, it always made my heart race whenever I over thought yet it was impossible to stop.
that was when I heard a knock on the door. fear crept into my chest. 'who would be coming here at this hour?' I asked myself. I carefully got up and walked over to the door, it didn't have a peephole, which was the only real down side to the apartment. I then opened my door.
I was shocked to see a familiar face standing there "Mom?!" I said shocked and confused.
