Ola looked at the doctor, who smiled professionally at her.
"Now, what makes you think that you might have a vision problem?" The doctor asked as he glanced at the woman sat in front of her before he ran his hands around the tools by his side table.
Ola didn't know what to tell the man, since she didn't even know why she had taken time out to go see a doctor. She disliked going anywhere period, but the woman was here just because of one particular woman.
"I see some weird things sometimes." The brunette chose to speak up, which caught the doctor's attention as he chuckled.
"Yes, patients do tend to see blurry messes of objects around them. Some even get scared, but don't you worry."
Ola wasn't really worrying but she chose to nod her head. It wasn't like her vision got blurry when she saw all the flowery mess behind a certain red head. It was more like her seeing things very clearly.
"Now, wear these and try to read the letters behind me." The doctor gave her some weird spectacles which Ola easily wore over her eyes. She frowned as she had them on. "Everything's blurry."
The doctor frowned as he asked the woman to take the contraption off of her face. He took the spectacles away from her, before adjusting them again, and then handing them back to the woman. "Now try."
And just like last time, Ola put them on, and felt everything becoming an oil painting.
The doctor and the brunette played around for a while before the doctor finally ended up asking the million-dollar question.
"When you said you saw weird things, what did you mean by that?"
The man looked about curious and annoyed at how the woman's vision was perfectly fine, but she was still here trying to get her eyesight tested.
Ola sighed before she replied, "There's this woman."
As soon as the woman begun talking, the doctor felt himself sigh out, but he chose to listen to the woman with his undivided attention. He was sure this was some kind of lovestruck story, and he just got trolled but then Ola continued, and the man began to question her mental well-being.
"Whenever I see her, I see bright lights behind her, and there are like millions of fresh blooming flowers behind her. Like, she's standing behind a flower wall or something."
The doctor frowned before he went straight to his notepad and began to write in it, while Ola watched him.
"This is my friend, who is very great in these situations. He will help you more than I can."
Ola frowned as she watched the man write and then tear off the page from his notepad. When Ola saw the contents of the page, she felt herself get offended but then again, she did sound a little crazy in her head too.
There was the address and number of a psychologist written on the paper.
"I'm sure everything will be fine." The doctor smiled as he stood up from his place in front of the woman, who was still frowning, as she followed suit.
She was sure, she wasn't crazy.
The doctor was sure to guide her out of the room with a professional smile on his face, and when they had reached the doorway, he K.O-ed Ola.
"Oh, and this session was on the house, so you don't need to pay for it."
And with a last smile, the man was subtly pushing the woman out of his office and his life since he was an eye doctor, not a love doctor or a mind doctor. He could barely manage his own love life and his mental well-being.
So, just like that, Ola had gone home with a permanent frown on her face as she kept thinking about how she had been branded as crazy by a doctor, but she wasn't crazy.
Was she?
