🏃Clark's POV🏃
"Clark!" I hear the woman of my nightmares screeches. "Time to get ready for school!"
I groan at her announcement before rolling out of my bed to get ready for school.
So yeah, I'm Clark
And just so you don't get worried my mom isn't abusive, crazy, or sadistic. Nor was she a part of something that affects my mental health. I just really hated her when she woke me up. I ran down the stairs making my mom roll her eyes from the kitchen at the stampede-like sound. Though I couldn't see her I knew she was rolling her eyes. I could feel it.
"Don't roll your eyes at the fact that I rolled my eyes!" She called from the kitchen while I was walking towards it.
"Not my fault I have psychic powers," I told her. "You're the one who passed them on to me.
She sighed defeatedly and said nothing more on the subject, making me grin.
"I know you're grinning Clark."
"See!" I yelled pointing my fingers at her.
She chuckled before placing a plate of eggs in front of me.
"Eat, you need to get to school." She said moments before my dad comes walking into the kitchen and giving my mom a big smack on the lips.
I fake gagged acting like a stereotypical teenager while my mom just smiled while wrapping her arms around my father's neck. They pulled away smiling at each other before Dad sat down and Mom went back to the stove to finish making their eggs. Her plate was already done but she will not eat until Dad was ready to eat with her.
I smiled at my parents then finished my food running out the door only a moment after that as I got in my car and drove to school.

I arrived at school a few minutes before the warning bell rang and walked into class right on time making my best friend Calum roll his eyes knowing I did it on purpose. I would've smirked at him but I felt like he would probably just punch me so I'll just settle for doing it in my head.
Once lunch rolls around my friends Malory, Calum and I all ran to the cafeteria praying our sprinting would help us get to the front of the line for food.
"So did you hear about that new guy that came into town?" Malory asked once we sat down at our regular table with our food.
"What new guy?" Another one of our girlfriends asked.
"Well, you know the house up on Melbourne drive?" Malory said, answering our friend's question with another question.
"You mean the one with the petunias in the bushes and the rickety old fence that sounded like a cat crying whenever you passed by?" Calum asked, not surprising me at all with his detail or how fast he said it.
"No, the big one with the really fancy paint job and the nice roof," Malory said.
"You talking about the one that was supposed to belong to Grandpa Marvin?!" Calum asked in shock.
"Yup, apparently the new kid moved in there. No one saw any parents but he is here for his first day of school." She said, enjoying the fact there was something to gossip about that was actually true and wouldn't send someone into tears.
She's classy like that.
"But don't you need parental consent to join this school?" I asked getting into the conversation.
"Yeah, but he's here which makes it even more interesting. Not only that but it turns out he's so hot that the cool history teacher Ms. Smith--who even turned down Steven Michaels when he asked her out cause he was still a student--blushed when the new kid introduced himself cause he was too cute."
"Wow." The rest of the people at our table said in awe.
"And she wasn't the only one, apparently all of the girls in class swooned with her, even a few guys. And I heard that kid Zac-"
"You mean the one with the Justin Bieber haircut?" One of the guys at our table asked.
"Yeah, apparently he even fainted!" Malory said enthusiastically.
"Wow," I whispered so quietly that not even the dogs would be able to hear me.
All of a sudden the cafeteria went quiet, only the sound of Brenda chewing her gum being heard. I turned around in my seat to see what everyone was staring at and froze when my eyes landed on the hottest guy that had ever existed.
He was on the taller side at 5'11 with an athletic build and wide shoulders. He was wearing a pair of dark blue jeans that hugged his legs in all the right places, a grey V-neck T-shirt, and a gold necklace with a cross on it. He had a jawline that could destroy steak and hazel eyes that were worth remembering. His short blonde hair was done up in a little quiff that looked so soft that I wanted to run my fingers through it over and over again. My eyes dropped back to his as I admired them again but my daydream is cut short his eyes snap to mine and I was left frozen.
This can't be happening.
He was looking at me.
Why?
And why was he walking in my direction?
By the time I finished thinking that in my head he was right in front of me.
"Hey," he said seductively in an amazingly attractive voice. "I'm Kevin."
I sat there gaping at the man that was in front of me for two Mississippi seconds before I come back to planet Earth.
"I'm Clark." I breathed not able to not make my voice sound as if I was having sex.
I swore I could hear a growl from somewhere in front of me but the only thing within hearing range in front of me was Kevin so it must have been my imagination.
"Nice to meet you," I told him putting my hand out for him to shake.
"Likewise," Kevin said shaking my hand.
I smiled up at Kevin and ignored the nagging feeling in the back of my head.
Something isn't right.
That's ridiculous.
Isn't it?
—————
Kevin had been in town for three months and he had really been fitting in. Not only was he really cool but it didn't hurt that he was really hot.
I mean, it's not like I was watching him or anything.
Ok, maybe I was but, that doesn't mean I liked him.
Ok, maybe I did but, that doesn't mean he liked me back.
Plus with all the people flirting with him he would probably be off the market in no time.
He was currently sitting with me and my friends during lunch which was his favourite table to sit at even though he would move around a lot.
Possibly cause people considered it the popular table even though we were just a group of friends that just happened to be social which in turn made us "well known".
I was brought out of my thoughts when I felt someone's piercing gaze on the side of my head.
I turn my head to see Kevin staring straight at me.
Even though I was looking at him his gaze never left my own and it unnerved me so I turned my head away.
His gaze was so strong,
And it was all on me.
What was that?
—————
"Bye!" I said to my best friend as he got into his car and drove away. I walked over to my car and was about to open the door when a hand grabbed my wrist pulling me back. I let out a scream as fear shot through my body. I looked up but instantly calmed down when I saw who it was.
Kevin.
"Sorry to scare you," he said sincerely.
"It's fine," I chuckled still a little shaken up. "I was just jumping to conclusions."
"Good, 'cause I needed to talk to you," he said.
"About what?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows.
So far Kevin and I hadn't really talked privately and since the only class we had together is PE -though that's probably the best class I could've had with him- it couldn't be about school, so I was really confused as to why he would want to talk to me.
"Do you want to go out with me?"
Well, that explains my question.
"What?" I asked surprised, only now realizing that he was still holding onto my wrist even though I had stepped away from him.
I tore my hand away from his taking another step back.
"Would you like to go on a date with me?" I looked at him still a little shocked but ended up cracking a smile.
"Sure," I said throwing away all doubt.
Even if this didn't work out I may as well have fun. One date couldn't hurt, right?
—————
I was running down the stairs when my phone notified me of a text.
I'm outside your house. Kevin texted me, causing me to speed up my footsteps wanting to see my boyfriend even sooner.
Kevin and I had been dating for a little over two months and it had been going amazingly!
My friends had been supportive and though not everyone at school accepted it we didn't get anything more than the occasional gross look. I opened the door and a huge smile graced my face when I saw Kevin leaning on his truck with the ever-so-attractive smirk on his face. I quickly closed the door and then start walking over to him while I tried my best not to show how eager I was to be near him.
"Hey, babe," Kevin said once I was close enough.
"Hey," I replied back moments before he pulled me into a deep kiss. I let out a yelp of surprise when I felt him squeeze my ass. To be honest I didn't hate it when he did that at first.
I actually loved it.
But after I said no to sex the third time he started getting really weird.
Like, he would constantly massage my inner thighs and kiss my neck when we were in public, and whenever we kissed he would get really rough and possessive. You know, I liked ruff and possessiveness in moderation, not every single time we touched. It's almost as if he tried to get rid of any sexual frustration he had through our kisses.
And it made me a little uncomfortable.
A moan left my mouth when his tongue ran over the roof of my mouth but I know I had to stop him once his hand started fiddling with my belt. I put my hands on his chest and pushed. Luckily he got the message and broke the kiss while removing his hands from my belt, using them to cup my face.
"It's good to see you," he said huskily.
"It's good to see you too," I said as I struggled to catch my breath.
He walked back to his truck and opened the passenger door.
"After you," He said with a cheeky grin on his face.
"Thank you, kind sir," I said jokingly while curtsying and holding my invisible skirt.
"Ha! Ha! Very funny!" He said while I stepped into his truck.
"Well, you're the one trying to be all 'gentlemanly'," I told him after he walked around the truck and sat in the driver's seat.
"Is it really that bad that I want to spoil my boyfriend?" He asked me while he looked at me with an unreadable expression.
"If you wanted to spoil me you would have gotten me that Google Play gift card I was telling you about," I stated truthfully.
Kevin releases a full belly laugh while I said.
"Hey, I'm just telling you the truth."
I smiled as Kevin continued laughing wondering how I got myself a boyfriend like him.
I leaned my head on the window and just relaxed while Kevin turned on the radio and started driving.
—————
"Hey, where are we going?" I asked after we had been driving for over an hour.
"I told you already," Kevin said.
"No, you didn't," I said back.
"Yes, I did," He said again.
"No, you said 'It's a surprise'," I mocked.
"Exactly," He said smirking slightly.
"Ugh!" I groaned, extremely annoyed.
"Just be patient, we're almost there," he chuckled.
"Okaayy . . . " I sighed, giving up.
After a few minutes, I felt a hand snake into mine.
"You know I love you right?" Kevin asked, looking and sounding serious.
"I know."
That was probably the last truly good memory I had with him.
