Grey Army Base, District 1, Dark Nation, England, Mid
Lev slowly made his way down the corridor of the Grey Army Base.
The Grey Leader had finally eased up on the babysitting guards, now allowing Lev to roam the base without being followed yet had harshened the orders of keeping the seer inside the base no matter what.
Lev was also still wearing the upgraded shock collar, an instant kill switch connected to his neck..... and he hasn't had his heartstone given back to him.
He turned the corner and stopped at the first window overlooking the dead lands that laid outside.
The late-night walks of the sleeping base is what had been keeping the seer as calm as he could, but every time he found a window, it just reminded himself of the shit situation he was currently in.
The Dark Nation's sky was a horrid mixture of hazy red and black, and all of its plant-life and buildings stood either dead or burnt in rubble.... and this is only District 1, all the other districts were rumoured to be so much worse, especially District 13 which holds both the worst of the worst criminals and the 'Freakshow', a place you only hear mere whispers about.
Lev leaned against the window framing, fiddling with the silver ring still haunting his important finger as he looked out at the dead-ridden land, light footsteps slowly coming towards him. "It's never a nice view" a quietened feminine voice stated as Lev turned his head, eyes widening a little at the sight of the silver blonde-haired woman.... Nicole Grey, the Grey Leader's wife. Her pale face was tear-stained whilst her glassy greyish-blue eyes were dulling with life, light grey flowy dress clinging to her skin a little. "My la-" "Please.... don't" Nicole begged, cutting Lev off before he could properly greet her "Don't use any titles around me" she asked, her head lowering a little "I don't deserve any of it...." her voice stated in a whisper. Lev was a little confused- the woman standing before him was rumoured to be strong and confident soldier yet right now, meeting her for the first time, she was the exact opposite: weak, tiny, depressed and both physically and mentally extremely fragile. It wasn't until his eyes fell to the inner side of her legs, a single line of now dried blood. "Uh... Nicole...... are you alright?" Lev hesitantly asked, keeping his voice quiet and gentle as his eyes lifted back up to Nicole's watery ones "He's going to kill me" she whimpered.
"We're planning on having a kid of our own soon..."......
Lev remembered the Grey Leader telling him that, along with the conversation that followed afterwards.
He let Nicole hug him, as tight as she wanted whilst she cried into his chest 'She had a miscarriage, didn't she?' Lev sadly thought as he gently wrapped his arms around her, being careful just in case if the horribly saddened woman was also pain.
"...Frank won't kill you, unfortunately this happens all the time-" "This is the fourth time" Nicole cut Lev off "Give him at least one kid- that's all I had to do..... he was so angry last time" she cried.
Anger. That's what Lev felt, strongly towards the Grey Leader.
Lev held Nicole's shoulders, pulling her away from him "What if I'm beside you when you tell him?" he offered yet she immediately shook her head "No, you don't know what he'll do-" "I'm the Jade Starling, Nicole.... he knows he can't hurt me and I won't let him hurt you" the seer told the weeping woman, cringing a little for using that stupid starling-title shit as Nicole hugged him again, showering him in tear-filled thankyous.

Gamer ran down through the school corridors, tugging the hood of his hoodie over his face whilst running, the excited whispers and students calling out to him flooding his ears until he ran into the 1A student lounge, darting behind a windowless wall as he fell to the ground, back leaning against said wall as he closed his eyes whilst those who were already in the room; Angel, Anti, Leo, Skyler and Dawn, stared at him, a little dumbfounded by his entrance. "What's up with you?" Leo questioned as the fallen groaned "People....." he bluntly answered "Someone's not been liking the attention that comes with being the 'Light Spirit'" Anti explained, folding his arms whilst Gamer buried his head into his own. Dawn raised a brow "Light Spirit?" "Heaven's divine spirit of hope and light" Angel told Dawn, waving a hand in the air as she did "Mangle and Seraphina can explain it all to you later- they're kind of an expert of it" the reaper stated and Skyler leaned forward a little in her seat "Why didn't you shadow-walk?" "Did that for the first two periods today, already at my limit" Gamer answered the emrone. "Wait- seriously? last year, you shadow-walked everywhere" Leo stated as his brows narrowed a little "I got fuck all sleep last night with shadling nightmares and sleepwalking- I fucking locked myself out earlier this morning, had to wake Death up through a window and get him to let me back in" the fallen told the bleddon angel "Couldn't go back to sleep afterwards so I'm sorry that I'm fucking tired- and the fuck is she doing here?" Gamer questioned, pointing at Dawn. The human girl shrunk back a little in her seat as Angel shot the fallen a glare "The Grey Leader wants her dead-" "Congrats, so are you, Mangle, Death and I" Gamer cut off Angel as she shot him another glare before getting up "I'm heading to the library, Dawn? you wanna come?" "Please" the human girl nearly begged as both of them grabbed their bags and walked out of the room.
"God- left my textbook in the classroom again" Skyler muttered, throwing her bag over her shoulder and running out of the room as Leo's phone vibrated before he looked at it "Isra needs help going through one of the storage rooms by the office area" he stated, getting up "Oh! I actually have to talk to Ianthe about something- I'll walk with you" Anti chimed in, getting up too and joining the bleddon angel's side.
Gamer's eyes widened a little "You're leaving me alone?" he questioned as the two stopped in their tracks, throwing him a smirk each "If you're lonely, you could always go hangout with Death" Leo suggested right before him and Anti walked out the door.
Death pulled away, trying to get his breath back whilst resting his head against the wall behind the fallen. Gamer tilted his head up "...what's wrong?" he asked as the ripper's breathing grew heavy "I-I... want you so bad- if I keep going.... I don't think I'll be able stop" Death breathed....
Gamer's cheeks flushed, burying his head back down into his arms.
Even if his face was red and hot, he felt more intense burning lines dancing down his skin, marking out the exact places the ripper's hands had been, how gentle and warm they felt. His heavy, uneven breathing and voice that had echoed throughout his ears only a few times yet how easily became the only noise he could hear or wanted to hear. And his scent.... the one that seemed to stick to the fallen like the world's strongest glue.
In response to the ripper's statement, the fallen brought his hands up and gently caressed the ripper's face "...then don't stop" Gamer quietly told him....
Gamer tightly closed his eyes, gripping the sleeves of his hoodie tighter.
And lately, every time the two have these 'moments', it's either the fallen himself starting it or encouraging it more.... the whole situation has gotten to the point that he couldn't even see the boundary lines anymore.
"GAMER!" a voice boomed, making the poor confused fallen flinch horribly before looking up in pure panic at the glowing woman of sun-lit fire that was standing in front of him. Glittery burns of golds and browns swirled within her ghost-like body with her blue eyes staring down at the boy "Jesus bloody christ- daydreamer much?" she questioned with a laugh, confidence pouring off her raspy addictive voice as Gamer's brows frowned in both confusion and slight disbelief.
"Sunneva?.... Sunneva Lights?" he questioned as the glowing spirit stood proudly "The one and only 'Sun Lighter', the second Light Spirit and reincarnation of... well you" Sunneva stated, pointing to the fallen "But wait- I just talked to both Elettra and Aurea a few weeks ago, wouldn't it take longer to talk to another one of you guys-" the spirit's laugher cut Gamer off. "Seriously? no- this crap works differently for everyone" Sunneva stated "For the current Light Spirit, a certain spirit will appear when needed" she bluntly explained "I was the most prideful spirit out of all the past divine reincarnations whilst you would have to be the most insecure Light Spirit I've ever met" Sunneva stated as Gamer's head lowered a little. "Yeah...." he quietly agreed "I know-" "My holy god, this is what I'm talking about" Sunneva cut the fallen off, gesturing to him "You're currently on the ground, hiding from the entire school- you're the Light Spirit for god's sake" she threw her arms up into the air "Be proud of who and what you are" she told Gamer as he lifted his head back up to her "Negative emotions will wilt your powers, making them impossible to use or control". The fallen raised a brow, this being the first time of someone telling him that 'fact' "Confidence and pride, especially in yourself, it goes a long way" Sunneva continued "You are expected to be the greatest Light Spirit to live, along with the ability to surpass all greatness and past accomplishments of the past spirits- you are the most important thing to all the realms right now" she told him. Gamer looked at the spirit as if she was insane "Me? important- I'm not... if I was that important-" "With brightening shimmer, our little star grew" Sunneva cut the fallen off "To suffer, survive, to blossom a looming truth" she recited "To link the celestial realms with his dear 'Burning Sun', and so be-rid a darkened threat and be the third tie to a longed bond" she finished, just confusing Gamer even more. "The same prophecy yet worded with truth" Sunneva stated "You suffered in Heaven, you survived Hell- you've done two of the five things you must fulfil for your prophecy and you're currently in process of finishing number three- you're almost halfway done" she told Gamer as his brows frowned a little "The hell are you on about?" "'Blossom a looming truth'? his 'dear Burning Sun'?" Sunneva hinted as the fallen still gave her a clueless look. Sunneva rolled her eyes with a heavy groan "Love, you blind dumbass!" she said yet Gamer just gave her a glare, mostly on the part that she called him a 'dumbass' "Huh?" "Oh for Heaven's sake- you falling and proclaiming your love! you know, like you do in your story of 'Light and Darkness'?" and as soon as she said that, Gamer's face turned red.
"Gamer... you can't just flirt and kiss a guy with the assumption that you're 'not gonna fall in love', there's centuries worth of evidence proving otherwise" Sunneva stated as Gamer covered his face "You now can't even last a second after the slightest mention of him-" "He's my best friend" the fallen interrupted the spirit "I can't-" "Then why do you keep thinking about him? why do you choose the most intimate moments to remember whenever? especially in the clearly wrong places and wrong times?" she questioned... yet he couldn't answer.
He didn't know how to answer.
Sunneva sighed "Look, all I'm gonna say is that you need to be more confident and proud of yourself, Gamer" she told him "You need to believe that you can do it and that you are worth it, without that, the negativity will drag you down and hold you back from your true potential" she advised as Gamer's eyes fell to the ground "You're gonna shine so brightly, Starlight" Sunneva stated, kneeling doing and caressing the fallen's face with her hands. The spirit gently tilted his head up so he was looking up at her, being met with her loving and prideful smile "My tiny godly spirit, the day you bloom will be the day you're loved by all, including yourself" Sunneva stated before her and her light faded, leaving the fallen alone once again.

Umber leaned against the front counter of the old wiccan shop, 'The Lucky Frog', reading the given book carefully as Xquenda wondered over, joining the girl's side "You sure I'd be able to read palms like you do?" Umber questioned, looking up at the old woman who brightly beamed at her "I taught your little cousin, Akire, how to read cards and she mastered that within a week" Xquenda stated "These are my personal notes of palm reading" she gestured to the book. "With it and practice, you'll master it in no time" the old witchdoctor smiled "Akire may have been born with the abilities, but you can learn and gain them too, because patience-" "Is a seer's virtue" Umber finished Xquenda's sentence with a smirk, earning a smile and laugh from the old woman as a few hooded people entered the shop. Xquenda turned around to greet them yet immediately summoned her staff, blocking a swinging sword just in time to be met with the gleaming blood-lusted eyes of Elisa, Mia and Jorah looming behind her as Kenneth blocked the front door. "Xquenda-" "Go!" the woman hissed at Umber as the young witchdoctor tood frozen and wide-eyed "...but-" "Go Umber!" the woman boomed, ripping off her anyolite pendant and tossing it back to the girl "Run- don't turn back and don't let anyone stop you" Xquenda stated, pushing Elisa back a few feet "RUN UMBER!". With that, Umber grabbed the necklace and bolted out the back door as Xquenda glared down the traitors in front of her "That was a big mistake, old woman" Elisa smirked as both Jorah and Mia laughed a little at the comment "The only mistake here is four once-humans assuming they can win a fight against Hell's oldest seer and starling" Xquenda stated, readying her staff as the younger demons and devils glared at her with both hate and bloodlust.
