"President Jeo!!!" I grumbled.

"GET OUT OF THE ROOM, boy." He said firmly. 

I gritted my teeth out of angst, "You'll regret this, Sir!" and stormed out of his office. I walked back to my room while thinking about what I was supposed to do with this messed up situation. 

"What will happen to Myung?"... 

"He'll be stuck in this hell forever!"...

"He just began acknowledging me!"...

"I can't let all my efforts in a month go to waste!"... 

As I stepped into my office, I threw everything on my desk away out of anger... 

"God damn it!!!"...

I took a few deep breaths to calm myself down, but I felt the anger bubbling up inside me even more as I kept reminiscing about what had just happened...

Throwing a few punches at the wall with frustration, Jeo Jenny walked into the room. 

"What are you doing?!!!" She asked, panicking.

I stopped and turned my gaze on her. "Letting out my anger, I guess~..."

She came close to me and grabbed my wrecked right hand. "Oh my! Your hand is bleeding, Dr. Seo!!!" 

I pulled back my hand out of her grip and said, "It's fine." 

"Did my dad scold you a lot?!... " she asked worriedly.

I smirked and scoffed, "I got fired." 

-"What?!... But why?... He won't fire people that easily!..." 

+"Since I refused to give up on my patient and hand him over to someone else, he fired me instead."

-"Why would you care about him so much? Your career is more important! It's not too late yet! Let's apologize to my dad! He'll retract his words... I'm going to convince him!"

+"I don't want my job if I can only continue it by giving up on him! I'm sorry but can you leave me alone..."

She stared at me for a few seconds unbelievably and then left the room with a deep sigh.

I grabbed a bandage out of my desk drawer and wrapped it around my hand to stop the bleeding. Afterwards, I headed to the PICU, walking towards Myung's room. I peeked inside before entering and found Myung lying on the bed, facing the wall. 

I stepped inside and sat on the edge of his bed quietly. I felt my heart sink as I watched him, and I then muttered, "I think you were right about me being fake. I keep ruining things~..."

I was so overwhelmed that tears rolled down uncontrollably, covering my face with my hand.

I felt Myung had moved on the bed and sat up, then he asked, "Why are you crying?" 

I wasn't able to answer or look at him out of shame since I was frozen in that position.

He grabbed my hand and pulled it down, "Your hand wasn't injured a while ago..." 

As my head was still down and my hand in his grasp, I mumbled, "Gosh~ I'm such a lame~"

"Have I put you in trouble?" Myung wondered.

I lifted my head and looked at him, "No!... Of course not!... The blame is on me. I acted recklessly, and I~..." I paused. 

Didn't know how to tell him about getting fired... 

-"You what?"

+"In fact, I just got~... fired~... So~ I can't see you anymore~..." Surrounded by tears again...

-"Why would they fire you?"

+"The President thinks I'm not qualified enough to look after you, and he wants to change your doctor in charge~... And I objected~So~..." 

-"Why are you so persistent about solving my matter?"

It took me a few seconds to think about that question, but I replied as I averted my gaze, "You're my first patient, and I don't want to fail... Plus, I don't want a young boy like you to stay in this suffocating place... I believe you deserve to be free and live your life in a more fulfilling way than this... I~... Just don't want~... to leave you alone~ here~... But these people!... (sigh)..."

Myung listened to me with a blank expression on his face the whole time I talked, and then he asked after a few minutes of silence, "Do you know in whose hands the power lies?" 

I turned my gaze back at him, waiting for him to continue... 

He then said, "Who has nothing to lose..." 

I wondered what that would mean?...

I just stared at him, puzzled...

"I'm going to trust you from now on, Seo Dantae. So rest well until the time comes..." He added.

I asked, "What do you mean?!..."

Myung didn't respond to my question and just smiled, and then Mr. Interruptor walked in at such a critical moment like always!... 

"Dr. Seo, they told me to escort you out of Park Myung's room." He said.

I got up and handed a handkerchief to Myung, "I wrote my number on this... If anything happens, tell your parents to contact me, okay?!"

Myung nodded his head silently, and then I patted his shoulder lightly, "Take care of yourself~... I don't want to say goodbye~... I hope we can meet in the future once again~..." 

"See you later, Grandpa." Myung said with an unexplainable expression. 

I gave him a bittersweet smile and left the room unwillingly... 

"I'm not sure if we could ever see each other again..." I thought...

Afterwards, I packed my things and headed back home. As I walked into my apartment, I placed my stuff in the corner of the living room and untied my shirt buttons frustrated.

"Now, what should I do?" I huffed and slumped down on the couch, leaning my head backwards.

I stared at the ceiling, running my fingers through my hair, and lost in my thoughts. 

"That bloody hospital! With the nonsense tactics of its president! And shady doctors along with nurses!... How can I leave him there?!... "

My body shook in irritation as I shouted, "Ahhh! I'm annoyed!... "

[6 days later]

I was at home, sitting behind my coffee table, surfing on my laptop for the latest requirements since I became unemployed unexpectedly...

Then I heard my front door's lock got opened and someone entered the house. I turned my head as I was freaked out by the sound and saw my little sister, Dami, walking towards me, "Oh! Oppa! What are you doing here at this hour?!..." 

"I should ask that! Why are you here?!..." I asked as my eyes widened out of shock.

-"I texted you! Haven't you checked it?"

+"No!" 

She placed her big backpack on the couch and took off her coat. "I came here since I should've been present at the second audition of the TinyHit Company. " 

I closed my laptop and got up, "Did you come alone all the way here? That's dangerous, Seo Dami!" 

She replied irritatedly, "Don't nag!! Mom's friend was coming to visit her daughter, so I tagged along." 

I let out a sigh and grabbed my phone to order something to eat for lunch as Dami sat on the couch excitedly.

"You didn't answer my question! Why are you at home?..." She asked suspiciously.

I froze in my place, sweating nervously, "I got days off since I was sick!..."

-"Hmm~... You just have worked there for a month.

How did they give you so many days off?!"

+"Em~... Such nice people, I guess~... hehe..." 

She got up and stood up in front of me, observing me with squinted eyes, "Oppa, have they kicked you out already?!..."

Shit!... This little smart girl!... I'm doomed!...

I laughed awkwardly, trying to deny it. However, she didn't buy it. Finally, I conceded and begged her not to tell mom about it, but this rascal girl wanted bribes!...

 I ended up reluctantly giving her a few dollars to keep her quiet. She then winked and said she'd keep my secret safe for now, but she'd be expecting more 'gifts' in the future. 

As Dami was counting the money with a devilish smile on her face, she said, "Oppa~ you better treat me well while I'm staying here~... hehe~..." 

I mumbled gloomy, "Why does my life suddenly turn downhill?"

-"It's because you're dumb, Oppa!"

I throw a cushion to her, "You brat! Talk properly to me!... I'm your older brother!"

As I said that, a sudden rush of sadness swept over me, remembering I'd also had a similar talk with Myung. 

"What's he doing now?!... Probably just staring outside the window as usual..." I wondered.

When tomorrow morning came, my phone rang nonstop as I was still in bed sleeping. 

I slid the answering button and put the phone on my ear, "Yes?"

-"Good morning, Dr. Seo. I'm President Jeo's secretary."

I jolted back in shock and sat on the bed, "Yes! What's the matter?"

-"Please come to the hospital in one hour. President Jeo wants to see you."

+"Why does he want to see me?"

-"You'll know when you come. Bye."

Then she hung up on me, and I stared blankly at my phone's screen for a few minutes, thinking...

I got out of bed and put on my clothes after taking a shower, then drove to the hospital as I was incredibly nervous. I couldn't help but be concerned about Myung and the situation...

I keep praying all the way up there that I don't get any bad news from them...

 Upon arriving at the hospital, I rushed to the office of the president. I stopped behind his door and took a deep breath, then knocked on it while my hand was shaking in fear.

"Come in." As I heard his voice, I stepped in silently and noticed that Myung's father was also there. I greeted both of them and stood waiting for the president to speak.

"Seo Dantae, I called you to come here to tell you that you can return to your position. And you'll be in charge of Mr. Park's son from now on." He said.

I asked, "Can I know the reason for this sudden change?"

Myung's father got up from his seat and stepped closer to me with his frowned eyebrows. "I asked President Jeo to get you back. He almost killed my son with his wrong decision!!!" 

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Park. I apologize sincerely... That wasn't my intention!" President Jeo said with a regrettable expression on his face. 

I got chills all over my body, "What happened to him?!~" 

Myung's father replied as tears streamed down his cheeks, "He hurt himself again~... " 

Then he held my hand in his and continued, "He wants you to be his doctor which is why I told them to contact you~ Please take good care of my son~..." 

I answered anxiously as my hands were cold as ice, "Of course, I'll do my best!... Don't worry about it, Mr. Park." 

"Go and check on him, Dr. Seo." President Jeo stated. 

I nodded and ran towards the PICU hastily as my heart was beating so fast that I felt it would jump out of my chest at any moment. 

I stormed into his room as I almost shouted, "Myung!" And found him lying on his bed tied up to it, wearing a strait jacket. 

"You're here finally." He said calmly with a grin on his face. 

 I glanced at him worriedly as rage ate me inside my gut. Then I stepped closer to his bed and untied him from the bed.

"What have you done? Where did you hurt yourself? Why again?!" I grumbled.

I slipped my hand behind his back and helped him sit on the edge of the bed. He replied, "I'm fine. They've given up faster than I expected this time since you're already here." 

I stared at him, shocked, " What?! Wait!..." I gulped anxiously as I continued, "When~ you told me that the power is in the hands of someone ~ who has nothing to lose~ You meant this?!"

-"Wow! You just realised that now! You're so slow-witted, Grandpa..."

+"Why would you~ hurt yourself for me?~" 

I was angry at him seriously... 

Myung then chuckled, trying to change the subject. "Don't you think it is funny that they wrapped me up like a sandwich? I feel like we're in 'Shutter Island' or 'Silence of the Lambs' movie! I'd never imagined I'd become like this!..."

I glared at him for a few seconds. His face had no colour in it, and his lips were completely white, which made my heart crumble in pain as I acknowledged that I was the reason behind all of this. 

"Seeing you like this ain't funny... It hurts... " I replied as I slumped my head over his shoulder, placing both palms on the bed near his body to soothe myself by clenching the sheets.

"Don't feel guilty, I'm not that hurt anyway... Since I've brought you back to your work, in return, you should bring back my feelings, deal?" Myung said calmly.

I lifted my head, and my gaze fell on his black eyes, which I could see a hint of shine in them.

Then I sighed and said, "Deal! But do not ever do this again no matter what!!! Or I'll..."

"Fine! Stop nagging at me, old geezer!" He snapped at me irritated and then added, "Now, can you unwrap me? It's annoying~"

"Nope! I wanna punish you for what you did!" I replied with a smirk on my face.

Myung then lifted his leg in a split second and hit me in the balls, making me squat down in pain, "Ow~ Ow~..." 

"Oops! My legs were free! You should have been more careful!" He scoffed.

"You!!!" I groaned.
