I cranked my eyes open a little and found myself in a small bedroom. Not in my own bedroom. I didn’t recognize the place, and I couldn’t remember how I ended up here… I tried to get up, but the pain grew a hundred times worse, so I lay back down in confusion. But it didn’t last for long.
Instinctively, I tried to grab my gun, but it wasn’t there. I regretted moving when the pain jolted through me. But now I remembered. I got shot by that fucking omega loving bitch… And then… Wait…
I glanced at my stomach. I wasn’t wearing a shirt, so I could see the pile of bandages taped over my injury.
Fuck… The omega!
I looked around again, listening carefully. I heard nothing… Was the house empty? Had that bitch nurse left? Probably. He’d escaped. Dammit! I had to get going. He’d had to alert the army already! I needed to get the fuck out of here!
Again, I tried to get up, and had better luck this time. I was able to move as long as I ignored the burning pain in my stomach. I managed to sit up, but when I tried to stand, my feet gave up under me. The impact with the hard floor nearly knocked me out cold, but I refused to pass out. I had to escape. I’d never let them have me… The army would never get me.
Grunting in agony, I forced myself up. I had to close my eyes for a moment when the world spun around me almost violently. The pain was fucking awful, and the nasty smell in the room made me want to vomit. I took a step to the door, then another, almost getting the hang of walking, but it was only getting harder to move.
Fuck… Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck…!
I’d never been this weak in my entire life.
But I got to the door. I collapsed against the post to gasp for air, holding back tears of pain and frustration. Alphas didn’t fucking cry… I was better than that…
The front door was right there… I could make it… I’d steal a car…
I’d steal…
I…
Fuck, the world was growing dark again…
“Well that was impressive.”
I nearly fell to my knees when I heard the omega speaking somewhere on my right. I forced myself to stay conscious when I faced him, trying to look big, bad, and intimidating. While holding onto the doorpost to stay up on my feet…
The omega walked into my narrow view, holding my gun. He wasn’t aiming at me. He wasn’t even ready to use it.
Good… I could easily snatch it from him…
I made my surprise attack… And fell face first on the floor at his feet.
“Going somewhere?” he asked.
I didn’t look up at him. The pain was so unbearable I couldn’t even move. I suddenly felt a pair of cool hands on me, and the omega turned me around. I kept gasping for air, unable to do much else.
“Fuck you… bitch…” I hissed.
He clicked his tongue in disapproval. “This bitch is keeping you alive. I’d adjust your attitude accordingly.”
“Fuck… You…” I repeated, giving him my angriest glare.
“Terrorists… No manners at all…” he said, sighing. “Since you’re up, I think it’s time for you to move into your new room.”
“What?” I spat.
He smiled at me. “I made you a nice little bedroom where no one will bother you. Come, I’ll show you the way.”
He stood up and stepped away from me. I only glared at him. I was not going to fucking–
He pointed the gun at me, his expression turning hard, cold. “I said come.”
This omega hated my guts. Of course he did. I’d threatened him and his baby, and there was no telling how many alphas had already harassed him before me. He would kill me if I didn’t obey him. There was no doubt about that.
He pulled the safety back, doing it nice and slow.
“Fucking coming…” I snorted at him, and fighting against the pain again, I managed to get up on my feet.
The dizziness sure wasn’t getting easier… All this moving was draining the little energy I had. I was so close to passing out… And that was before he gestured down a long set of stairs a moment later.
“I’m not going down there… you bitch…” I breathed out, glaring at him.
“Shall I push you then?” he asked, tilting his head. “To stop you from wasting my time.”
I bared my teeth at him and let out a growl, but he didn’t even blink.
What fucking choice did I have?
One step at a time, I managed to get down, and stopped in front of a sturdy door at the bottom of the stairs.
“Get in.”
I didn’t look at him when I pushed the door open, revealing a small basement. There was a mattress in the left corner, and a portable toilet on the right behind a folding screen. And drilled into the wall between them was a set of two thick, long chains with iron cuffs.
I glared at the omega over my shoulder.
“You know what to do,” he told me, pointing at the chains. “Those should fit you perfectly.”
I turned back to him, anger rising inside me.
“If you think–”
“I can also blow off your kneecaps,” he said calmly. “Your choice.”
I glared at him. There was no fear on his face.
“So fucking clever, huh…?” I muttered in anger, my strength fading fast now.
“Uh-huh. Move it,” he said coldly. “I need to go get my baby from the daycare.”
“So you’ll just leave me here, huh? Keep me as your… what? A slave?”
“Oh, you’ll find out what I have in store for you,” he told me. “You tried to kill Michael Mercer, the man who has kept us safe from people like you.”
“Yeah? And I’ll kill you too the second I have the chance,” I hissed at him.
“I said you tried,” he said. “But he’s not dead. It was on the news. And I’m assuming he’s very, very pissed.”
I could feel the color escaping my face, but I refused to show this little bitch his words had affected me.
“The chains. Now,” he spat at me.
With a growl, I turned my back to him and walked to the opposite wall. I couldn’t crouch to grab the cuffs from the floor, so I pulled them to me. With great difficulty, I put them around my wrists, then glared at the omega.
“That’s a good boy,” he told me. “You should rest now.”
“I will fucking kill you for this,” I hissed at him.
“Let me see you try,” he said, stepped out, closed the door, and locked it.
I immediately collapsed, gasping for air. The pain… Fuck…! Fuck!! It hurt so fucking much…! I crawled to the mattress on the floor and lay down on my back, but it took a while before my burning stomach calmed down a little. I had to fight to stay conscious. I was sure all that moving had torn the wound open.
For a moment there, I was sure I was dying, the pain was so excruciating. I had no idea how long I lied there, first trying to fight against passing out, then wishing I did so I didn’t have to deal with the pain, but little by little, the pain subsided. Of course the bitch hadn’t felt generous enough to give me anything for the pain…
When I was finally able to focus on something else, I peered around in the dim room. I gagged at the sight of the portable toilet. I was not fucking using that! With nothing else to look at in the room, I turned my attention to the chains. The ring the bitch had attached the chains to the concrete wall was drilled in with four large bolts. The cuffs were big, wide, and heavy, and the chains weren’t any smaller. There was absolutely no way I could break them. I’d have to cut off my thumbs to get rid of them. And then find a way through the sturdy door and get past the omega without getting shot…
But why did he have a room like this in their house? What kind of sick fucking bastard was he?
“You fucking idiot…” I sighed to myself.
He said he was going to pick up his kid from the daycare. That meant I’d spend at least half a day here already, maybe even longer. He’d had plenty of time to prepare this room for me while I was unconscious.
But the toilet bothered me… Did that mean he was planning on keeping me here for days? Weeks? Fuck, I had a really bad feeling about this… If he’d not lied to me, and Mercer was still alive… If this omega bitch was planning on calling him and not the army…
Fuck me…
No. Fuck no! I wasn’t scared. I wasn’t scared of a fucking old mafioso. I was a fucking jomica, one of the most feared terrorists in our entire fucking country! Everyone knew our group! I wasn’t afraid of a fucking mafia… They were old news, and the only power they had was given by Governor Morgan. They were nothing but bitches of the army.
I wasn’t scared of any of them… I’d soon be back in full strength, and I’d wait for a good moment to escape. Omegas were stupid. This nurse bitch was bound to make a mistake soon enough.
And I was alive. I fucking survived. I had no idea how bad my injury was, and how long it would take for me to heal, but I was fine now, right?
I hesitated, but carefully peeled a corner of my bandages off to see the wound. The omega had stitched it up, and at least in my eyes, it seemed fine. Red and covered in dried blood, yeah, but it didn’t look infected. I didn’t dare to stare at it longer, so I pressed the bandages back on it.
Then I had to rest. I’d completely drained my energy, and my healing body was still angry for having to move so much. I let my eyes fall closed, but the burning pain didn’t let me fall asleep. I guess I had to wait until I passed out from exhaustion.
And while I waited… I tried to hear it… I tried to empty my mind, but the fact that I had to do that already told me it wasn’t there. We got fucking shot and almost died, and it didn’t care. I wouldn’t have gotten fucking shot if it had been there to do its fucking job! It could’ve easily dodged the bullet, but no. It chose to let us both die.
Fucking traitorous bitch… I was glad it had chosen to shut down… I was happy I didn’t have to share my existence with a weak pussy like that. I was stronger alone. I could take care of myself just fine.
I was better off without an alpha spirit like that.
*****
I felt odd the next time I woke up. For one, I wasn’t sure if I even did wake up. My body was heavy, and my eyes didn’t really want to open. But I didn’t mind because the pain was also much easier to bear. It was… It was a very numb kind of pain. I was so fine with that. No complaints at all. Compared to the horrific burning sensation in my entire torso earlier, I could practically live with this for the rest of my life.
I did try to move a little to take a look around, but my mind was just as dull as the pain, so it took me a while to understand the things I was seeing. For one, there was much more light in the room, and some weird sound somewhere very close… And two, there was a coat rack above me. And a… A clear bag of liquids hanging off it.
It took me way too long to understand it was an IV bag with a tube attached to my hand. So the omega was still trying to keep me alive and had finally decided to relieve my pain.
For a while, I just stared at the bag for no particular reason. My drugged brain just decided to have a break while staring at it. Once I remembered I was a living human being, I turned to stare at something else.
It was… a bunch of hair. Bunch of long, black hair… On a ponytail. Very shiny hair, and watching it was fascinating, especially when it moved.
That’s a human.
Hmm.
A human…
Wait… The fucking omega. The bitch nurse. The bitchy bitch. He sat right next to me, hovering over my injury.
“Bitch…” I mumbled, trying to force my head to work.
“Morning to you too,” he replied without looking at me.
My brain took another break, and by the time I recovered from it, the omega was gone. I blinked, twice, but he didn’t reappear.
“You’re one lucky guy.”
I squinted my eyes and stared at the empty spot next to my bed. No, still not there.
“It’s been four days, and you’re not dead yet. You’ll probably live. For now.”
There was a small spark in my brain, and I understood to turn my head to my left. The omega sat on the floor, his long legs crossed. He was watching me closely with hate in his eyes.
“Bitch,” I said again.
He snorted at me. “I’m guessing you’re having a very nice trip.”
I had no idea what he meant by that. I stared at him for a moment, then turned my attention to my stomach. I saw no bandages. Where did they go?
The omega sighed loudly, but I didn’t pay attention to it. I was still looking for the lost bandages.
“It’s a shame… A kid like you shouldn’t be killing people. You shouldn’t be a terrorist. How old are you, anyway? Twelve?”
Twelve… Nu-uh. I was… A… Hmm… Adult. I was an adult. Maybe? I think? Twenty… hmm…
“Bitch…”
Twenty-bitch. Wait… No… Fuck, my head was loopy…
I heard laughter.
“I should keep you on drugs forever,” he said, but then his voice turned cold. “Then you wouldn’t be able to kill anyone ever again.”
I turned back to him. He was standing now, staring at me with cold, cold eyes.
“You’ll be a nice gift for The Boss,” he said, and walked to the door. “Sleep well. While you can.”
The room went dark and quiet.
“Hmm… gifts…” I mumbled, smiled, and passed out.
