"You, Highness, I don't think you should train today. It would be best if you rested since you woke up from a two-day illness," Edith said frantically, waving her arms around. After giving me my breakfast, I told her I would go to the training grounds, and the girl lost it.
"Edith, I will be fine. I will train for a couple of hours," I said.
"A couple of hours! Your Highness, I am sorry, but I cannot let you go out and hurt yourself," She said.
"Awe, are you worried about me, Edith?" I teased, and the girl turned red.
"Of course, I am worried about you, your highness," Edith said, playing with the end of her dress. I started to have this warm feeling inside my chest because, other than my mother, I had never had someone care about me so deeply. I thought that Angela did, but she only did that to manipulate me. I have to stop living in the past. I will not have any of my goals achieved if I keep thinking about my former life. I let out a sigh walking over to Edith patting her on the head. She looked up at me with her bright blue eyes filled with curiosity.
"I will be fine, Edith, but can I ask you to do me a favor?" I asked.
"Of course, your highness," She said, beaming excitedly. She reminds me of an energetic little bunny.
"She is giving me golden retriever energy," The woman said, sitting on my couch. I passed Edith and tried not to roll my eyes, looking at her and smirking at us.
"Can you tell the head butler, Charles, I would like a room change?" I asked.
"A room change? Can I ask why, your Highness?" Edith asked.
"Well, to be fair, with all of this red around, I feel like some sort of a villain," I said.
"I understand, your highness," Edith said, dropping her head.
"What, Edith?" I asked.
"Well, the head maid told me that you demanded the room to be changed and that it was Lady Angela's favorite color," She said. I frowned at the sound of Angela's name, and in response to what Edith said, I huffed, walking into my room. I grabbed a piece of paper and a nearby writing instrument at my desk and wrote a note folding it close. I walked out of my room, walked over to Edith handed it to her.
"Edith, last time I checked, Lady Angela was not the future ruler of this kingdom. I am. She is not in charge of what decision I choose to make. So please go to Charles and tell him that I would like him to change my room. Thank you," I stated. Edith only gave me a slight nod before spinning on her heel, rushing out of the room like she was on fire.
"Damn, why don't you threaten to cut out her tongue while you were at it," The woman said, laughing. I looked at her, and she laughed pretty loud and hit the couch. I stared at her and realized I didn't ask her for her name this time.
"Hey, what's your name?" I asked, and she stopped laughing, looking at me like I had grown another head.
"Don't you know?" She asked.
"You know I wouldn't be asking if I did," I said, and she held her chest, flying off the couch.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed," she said, peeking over the armrest.
"Well, I can't help getting mad when I hear the name of the woman I loved who turns out to be manipulating me to get the throne. How would you react if you were in my shoes?" I asked, sitting next to her. She tilted and flew up, sitting on the armrest.
"Well, I'm petty. I would break up them bringing them to their knees, and when they think they are at their lowest, then I would decimate them," I watched her hair turn red and her hands glow white. "Well, now that I think about it is more toxic than petty," She said, turning her hair back into her standard blue. This girl knew how to get revenge. I think I kind of like it.
"Well, I can't do that unless I want to ruin the good image I am trying to regain," I said, slumping in my seat. We sat silently, and I usually would hate it, but this time it was different.
"Luna," She said.
"I'm sorry," I said, looking at her. She was floating, bringing her knees to her chest, resting her cheek on them, and facing me.
"My name is Luna," She said.
"It is a beautiful name," I said. Luna blinked at me, and her hair suddenly turned pink for a second before returning to blue. Was this her version of blushing? She cleared her throat, giving me a pat on my knee before standing up.
"Well, enough of that. Let's go. I wanted to see how bad you are with sword fighting," Luna said.
"Yes, ma'am," I said, following her out of my room.
My wife and friend betrayed me and let them turn me into a tyrant just to be stabbed in the back. I got a second chance at life this time, and I will not waste it. This time I will make sure I don't turn into the tyrant they want me to be and Be a fair ruler. That won't be hard, right?
