Disclaimer: The photos in this comic were NOT taken by me. This is from my reference folder. The references I have are on my phone and I cannot find my charger for the past 2 days.

Please do not sneak in closed off ruins because you drove over 3 hours to get to the place and found out it's no longer open to the public.

I'm only saying this because I'm supposed to set a good example.

(Also this is an exaggeration, I didn't need to climb the fence, we found a hole.)

Now with the formality out of the way, let me introduce a short series I'm going to be working on in Extras which is faster for me than making gag comics weekly (especially around convention time and I...am so busy right now I am so sorry)

In today's episode we're going to talk about the Ghosts (a little) and Places (a little, too). As it says, there's a bit of cultural echoes in the designs although very subtle but very conscious, the only exception to this rule is a specific ghost but we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

And if it wasn't clear, that police sketch is of the chupacabra. I just personally don't like throwing the word around because it's my least favorite cryptid due to some things that happened in my town during the 90's.

Next week we'll cover a bit of the superstition FROM Puerto Rico and how it reflects in the comic.

Hopefully these things help you the reader understand and appreciate some of the design choices as sooner or later, they'll become more and more evident throughout this arc.

Last but not least, once again, thank you for the Puerto Rico Historic Building Society for sponsoring tours in most places I need references because now I don't need to sneak around as much anymore, and for also being supportive of the comic and sending me really awesome references we'll see in later chapters.

OH! This is pretty interesting to learn about. I mean Puerto Rico is such a beautiful place with interesting history and mythology!

Summary of Cosmic Fish:
Monsters deal with individual existentialism and their unwanted place in the world while the planet's guardians are like 'no, you stop that'.

Maybe they won't like what they find.
