"Will you take me?" He said as his eyes were filled with sadness.

I hesitated for a moment, not sure what was in his mind. "What should I do if he wants to trick me and has suicidal thoughts? He's stayed in that room for a whole year, and now he suddenly wants to go outside!..." I wondered.

Then I replied, "It's pouring right now~ We can go when the weather is better."

Myung glared at me, completely annoyed. "Can you stop being a bummer?! I wanna go out because it's raining!... Don't you feel guilty about making me cry?"

I stood up and sighed, "Huh?! When di~... (huff)... Fine! Let me inform the guard and leave."

I have no idea why I'd given up so easily, but I didn't want to ruin my advances with him. I stepped out for a while to ask one of the guards to tag along with us. Then I headed to my office and grabbed my knit pullover. 

As I got back to the room, his eyes widened in surprise, and he said, "I thought you ghosted me since it took longer than I expected."

I laid the pullover on his shoulders. "I can't let you catch a cold, so wear this." Then I slipped his hands through the sleeves and buttoned.

"Is this yours?" He asked curiously.

"Yep. Let's go." I took his hand in mine and led him outside the room.

He became quite obedient as we were walking down the hallway. 

When we reached the PICU's entrance, Myung's body was stiffened by seeing the guards and hid behind me like a kid who would use their parents as a shield.

Myung and I approached the elevator with the guard, following us from behind.

As the doors closed and the elevator started to move, Myung was still tense and didn't say a word until we got to the ground floor. 

As soon as we got out of the elevator, Jeo Jenny spotted us as she was passing by and called my name, "Dr. Seo~... Where~..." She paused as her gaze fell on Myung beside me. 

"Woah! How is it that you're here?!" Jenny asked Myung as she was about to reach her hand to him. 

However, I led Myung behind me while I was still holding his hand, and then I caught Jenny's wrist with my other hand. " I'm sorry, Miss Jeo. But you should avoid unnecessary physical touches with patients." 

She was taken aback and laughed awkwardly as she stepped back. "Aha~ Sorry~... Where are you going anyway?"

" To the garden," I answered. 

-"But it's pouring as hell!"

+"I know. Now excuse us." 

-"Huh? Dr. Seo!"

I dragged Myung to the doorway as I was annoyed and picked up an umbrella from the corner next to the door.

Myung then said, " You make physical contact with me all the time, so how can she not?"

I glanced at him as I opened the umbrella, " Didn't you hear the 'unnecessary' part?"

He smirked and said, "Ok."

I raised an eyebrow. "What?"

-"Nothing."

+"I did that because I didn't want you to feel panicked since she's a stranger."

-"Ok."

+"Huh?! Am I making you uncomfortable?!"

I felt unfair as I saw his judgmental expression as if he mocked me with not answering me... 

Myung swung the door open and ran down the stairs, then stopped in the rain. He looked up at the gray sky and let the raindrops fall on his face. I ran towards him and held the umbrella above his head. "You'll get sick."

"I don't care. I like this feeling..." He shoved the umbrella away, and it fell on the ground. "Let's get drenched together."

As I let out a sigh, Myung grabbed the sleeve of my uniform and pulled it against himself. "Walk with me."

I could feel the warmth of his body through the fabric of my uniform. 

I hesitated for a moment before I finally decided to take a step forward, and we began to walk together in the rain for a while as the sky was rumbling so loudly and raindrops were attacking us at high speed.

"This is crazy~ I hope they don't fire me again," I muttered nervously.

-"I'm not letting them. So relax, old geez~" As he walked beside me and held his palm skyward, he grinned.

After I smiled back at him unknowingly, I then noticed a puddle near us. I dragged him into the puddle and made a short jump, which made our feet completely wet and muddy.

"Ack!..." Myung glared at me astonished. I laughed and said teasingly, "Don't blame me since you've started it~"

He splashed water toward me with his foot. "You're annoying!"

I retaliated by splashing water back at him. "I know~" 

Myung swung his hand to hit me since he was pissed off. However, I stumbled back, and my butt hit the floor as I tried to dodge, causing Myung to lose his balance and fall on top of me. 

Our faces were close to each other, and my gaze was fixed on him as his face and black hair were totally wet and water was dripping from its ends. 

Once again, I was amazed at how beautiful his face was, especially at that moment since his cheeks and nose were a bit red. 

My heart started to beat faster as we were frozen in that position for a minute and stared at each other silently. Everything felt like a slow-motion video, overwhelming and kinda breathtaking...

All I could think about was that I wanna kiss him...

However, I needed to get myself together as always...

I then broke the silence awkwardly and asked as I grabbed his shoulders, "You okay?" 

Myung quickly got up and quickly looked away from me as he returned to his senses. He then spoke in a quiet voice, "Yeah." 

I stood up and said while pointing at our outfits, "We really need to go back now!!!"

He nodded shyly, and we headed back inside the hospital. I asked the guard guy to bring me a large blanket from the supply room and wrapped it around Myung's body nervously.

"How can I walk like this when you literally turn me into a caterpillar?!" He complained.

"Don't whine~" I replied and then put my arms around his shoulder, leading him to the elevator. 

"Hey! Walk slow! I'm gonna fall!" Myung groaned again.

I bent down and wrapped my arm around his waist, made him fall on my shoulder, then I picked him up and entered the elevator quickly. "I don't want the whole hospital to find out that we're soaked in rain and mud. We need to hurry back."

"Put me down~ What am I? A sack of potatoes?!" He grumbled while wriggling and made the guard laugh.

"Bear with me a bit, will you?" I asked.

He huffed and remained silent...

As we reached the second floor, I dashed towards the PICU, walking down the hallway hastily.

"Waaahh~ This is scary~ I'm afraid of heights~ I'll kill you if I fall!!!..." He whined again, and I continued without response until we got into the room, placing him on the floor.

"See?! You're alive!" I smirked and unwrapped the blanket around him.

Myung stared daggers at me for a few seconds and then kicked me in the shin. "I hate you!"

"OW!!~" I glared at him as I bent down in pain. "You little brat! If you weren't my patient!!" 

He stuck his tongue out at me and walked to the bathroom. "Tell them to bring me clean clothes."

I rolled my eyes and shook my head as I watched him walk away. Afterward, I headed to the nurses' desk, telling them to take care of him as they stared at me in confusion, observing my messed-up appearance.

I also changed into some spare clothes in my locker and headed to the first floor to get a coffee. I sat at a table near the window and took a few sips of my coffee. Then Jeo Jenny appeared again and sat in front of me as if she was not working there at all... I mean, how could she have so much free time that we keep crossing each other?!... 

She said, "You keep doing risky things, Dr. Seo."

+"What do you mean?"

-"I mean, don't let that patient play with you, forcing you to do strange things... I bet you don't wanna get in trouble with my father again, right?"

+"Thanks for your advice. However, I know what I'm doing as a doctor."

-"haha~ You seem like a softhearted person~ I guess I am attracted to you more now~"

+"I don't want to be rude, but I'm not interested in relationships for now, Miss Joe. So I'd be grateful if we could stay only as co-workers."

-"We can stay like that if you wish. But I'm not giving up~... I'm sure we can make a perfect hospital couple~..."

+"I'm sorry, but I'm more interested in a quiet and peaceful work environment than hospital drama."

-"Haha~ Then you shouldn't have become a physiatrist~... "

I just laughed awkwardly and finished my drink quickly. "I need to go back since I need to visit other patients~"

She slurped her coffee and grinned, "Okay~ See you later~"

I rushed out of the cafeteria and returned to my office...

"Gosh!... This girl is getting on my nerves!... Just like her Dad!..." I mumbled.

Kim Haru's POV:

The bartender was serving me a vodka as I was thinking about I was stuck in Germany because of my stupid business matter and couldn't see Myung for quite a while. A warm feeling rushed through my veins when I took a sip, made me a bit calm and relaxed.

"Sir~ I need to go to the bathroom~," Alex said as he fidgeted in the seat next to me.

He left quickly after I said, annoyed, "Huh! Go then!".

Ten minutes have passed since he hasn't returned from the bathroom, so I got up and headed there to check on him. 

When I entered, I saw a guy pressing Alex against the wall, trying to touch him. 

As soon as Alex noticed me, he pleaded with his tearful gaze to help while his mouth was covered by that guy's hand.

"Good timing, jerk. I needed to vent my anger on something since I'm pissed." I said. 

The guy turned his attention to me. "Fuck off or I'll kick your ass..."

I kicked him hard in the stomach and he was thrown onto the floor, groaning in pain. 

I grabbed Alex and pulled him away before turning to the guy and snarling, "Heh! Let's see whose ass will be kicked!"

I punched the guy in the face again and again until Alex stopped me out of fear, sending him sprawling onto the floor with a pained yell. 

The guy lay there, blood pouring from his nose and his face a mess. I then threw some cash on him, "Here is your compensation! Asshole!," and grabbed Alex's hand to drag him away, not looking back. 

I stormed out of the bar and grabbed a taxi, going back to our hotel. 

Alex and I didn't speak on the way back. I guess I scared him more by what I did to that jerk. 

Once we got to the hotel sweet room, I glanced at him while he was crying, staring at the floor as he stood in the middle of the room awkwardly.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

He looked up at me and said in a trembling voice, "I'm~ Not~... How can I be alright now?~..."

I was taken aback by his honest yet normal reaction. 

I reminisced about the time something similar happened to Myung, but he stubbornly insisted he was okay as he was trembling in fear. 

For a second, I wished he expressed himself to me more openly rather than bottling them inside his heart. 

Then maybe... 

Maybe things were different...

However, the point is that I wasn't honest with him either, so it's shameless to expect it from him...

I approached Alex and placed my hand on his shoulder lightly. "I'm sorry I was late..."

He plopped his head onto my chest, crying. "Waaahhh~~ That disgusting shit~"

I held him lightly in my arms and patted his back slowly. "You'll be okay~"

-"What should we do if he sues you?! He won't do anything since he tried to assault me first, right?! Was he breathing?! What should we do if he's dead?!!!... Will you go to jail?! Because of a piece of crap?!... wha~" 

Alex was continuously blabbering in panic so I cut off his words." Wow~ Calm down! Nothing will happen with a few punches!..."

He lifted his head up and stared at me, "Really?!"

"Yeah~ So get a hold of yourself and take a hot shower to forget everything. We need to wake up early since our flight is at 6:30 A.M." I replied.

"Yes, Sir!" He wiped his tears quickly and rushed to his room.

"This boy is still a kid..." I huffed.

I then walked to my room and slouched on my bed. "I wanna see Myung soon~..."
