The letter announced Akoma’s acceptance into the university, a remarkable feat that filled him with a sense of accomplishment and pride.

As he considered this tremendous opportunity, memories of his childhood village flooded his mind—the familiar faces, the comfort of routine, and most of all, Maya. She had been a beacon of light in his life, guiding him through the labyrinth of emotions and self-discovery. 

Yet, the university was thousands of miles away, and the pursuit of his dreams meant leaving behind everything he had ever known.
