+++ At Home, as Theodore's coming down the stairs +++
It had been almost a week since Hunter went missing…
"Hey, dear." Theodore smiled nervously at Hunter's mom when he saw her. She was standing in the kitchen, leaning over the kitchen island.
"Hey…is Mr. Jordan here?" The lean boy asked, rubbing his wrist.
"Yes, he's upstairs in his office." The dark-haired woman nodded her head and Theodore was relieved.
"Ok, thanks.." Theodore went back up the stairs and went to Jordan's office. Theodore took a deep breath before he raised his fist to give three knocks on the door.
"Mr. Jordan?" Theodore called, stepping back slightly and putting his hands behind his back.
"Theodore? Come in, what is it?" Theodore was grateful and opened the door to go inside. Jordan was sitting at his desk, seemingly calmer than the boy had seen him in the last few days.
"I was just asking if we...found anything on Hunter..." Theodore walked closer, knowing his voice was only getting softer.
Jordan took a deep breath, gently tapping his hands on his smooth, wooden desk. "No...but I have someone who's looking for him."
Theodore's eyes widened and he quickly moved to sit in the chair that was placed in front of Jordan's desk. "R-Really?"

"Okay, thank you, sir," Nikolas said and walked off to call Jordan. It rang only once before Jordan picked up.
The two had been talking as of late, only about Hunter and keeping each other updated.
"I talked to someone who may have seen Hunter walking the same night he disappeared." Nikolas gave Jordan his message while putting his hand on his hip as he stood near his desk.
"Really?" Jordan's voice was surprised but was interested in knowing more.
"Jordan, I would not have called you if I didn't mean it." Nikolas closed his eyes, half-serious. He wanted to chuckle to make Jordan relax but knew he had to be serious so kept his feelings and thoughts to himself. "Anyways, it could have been anyone though. It was nighttime. I just don't want to assume they were your kid." Nikolas nodded his head, deciding that was the right thing to say.
"Nik, it's the only lead we have. Thank you." Hearing Jordan's happy tone made Nikolas feel things. He felt things he had to ignore. He had to ignore the thought of Jordan's smile or he'd never move on. It had been too long.
"Anything for you, Jor," Nikolas said, before hanging up the phone.
"Was that...Jordan, Niko?" Nikolas sighed and turned to his friend.
"Yes..why?" Nikolas opened his eyes, looking tired.
"You guys..together again?" The man smiled and wrapped his arm around Nikolas's shoulder. He was a black man with a closely shaved head, dark brown eyes that seemed warm with happiness and light, and his body was almost as fit as his partner's but Nikolas was taller.
"No, Brayden. You know when we broke up years ago that was the end of the story." Nikolas took Brayden's arm off his shoulder and walked around to his desk with a frown on his face.
"What, he's got a wife and kids?" Brayden never seemed to stop smiling, even as he joked, trying to lift Nikolas' spirits. Little did he know.
"Yes, he's married. I'm looking for his son." Nikolas sat at his desk, seriously focused and starting to work on his computer.
"I'm sorry, man...let's not lose hope though." Brayden calmed down but still sent finger guns at his partner.
"No, Jordan loves his family and moved on. I just need to move on." Nikolas looked down, showing a slight crack of vulnerability.
"And you seriously think that finding his kid will help you?" Brayden asked, looking away. Brayden was starting to understand Nikolas' feelings.
"Yes..I'll finally let go of Jordan. It's been too long. I need to seriously let him go."
