The two got out of Nikolas' car and allowed Hunter into the station. Hunter followed Nikolas to his office, ignoring all the staring that was given to him by a few of the other police officers that were present.
"Sit and wait here. I'll get you some water." Nikolas offered the teen the chair in front of his desk before leaving the room. Hunter nodded and sat down.
"Rosa.." Hunter whispered, trying to stay calm.
"Baaa" The sheep sounded off, quietly.
"Sorry, girl. I didn't mean to cry on you."
Nikolas came back a few minutes later and gave Hunter a small cup of water. Hunter thanked him before downing the cup once Nikolas sat down with some files in front of him.
"So, what happened the night of your disappearance?" Hunter remembered what made him angry that night and instinctively crushed the cup, nearly surprising Nikolas with his reaction.
"Oh? I'm assuming this had something to do with your boyfriend, Theodore?" Nikolas asked, leaning back in his seat and crossing his arms. Hunter put Rosa in the chair next to him and got up to pace around the older alpha's office.
"I went to Theo's volleyball practice after school. I didn't have football practice and thought it would be nice. You know, watch my boyfriend practice his game." Hunter looked at Nikolas, waving his hand around.
"Right." Nikolas glanced at one of the files and nodded his head.
"So then, as I'm watching my hot boyfriend jump and hit a ball over a net, some senior comes and tells me some meat bag has been flirting with my boyfriend." Hunter's wolf nearly responded this time and Nikolas looked up at him. "So I got heated. I found out who this jerk was and decided to get some water to calm down. But no…the jerk shows up." Without even being aware of it, the plastic cup had been in shreds.
"Wow," Nikolas muttered, in shock at the mess that was now on his floor. He didn't get angry though, the kid needed to get it out somehow.
Hunter sighed and sat back down. "I wanted to fight him right there...but I couldn't because the coach stopped me." Hunter said, in a mocking tone while rolling his dark eyes. "And that is when my unconscious walk began."
"Unconscious?" Nikolas repeated, leaning over his desk.
"Yup. I let my feet take control and I somehow ended up three states south." Hunter nodded his head.
"Three states south?" Nikolas asked, blankly. He almost couldn't believe it.
"Yes, sir. I didn't stop until I noticed a farm. I thought it was strange but I ignored it. I went over to the sheep pen, and I didn't really plan to do anything but watch them. I started to smoke I think…and then this farmer came with a gun! He put it to my head!" Hunter expressed his excitement and Nikolas couldn't hide his amusement, being reminded of a young child. "Then I was taken in by Farmer Robert and his wife, who's actually a man but he just calls him that. It's cool. They're so cool. They were kicked out of the town up ahead so they moved out and built a farm. They made it work for themselves and they tried to take care of me. I worked a lot and we tried to figure out how to get me home…but well, yesterday happened. They kicked me out to help me come home. Ian sent Rosa after me with this letter!" Nikolas listened carefully before taking the letter Hunter put on his desk.
"So you had quite the trip?" Nikolas asked, a couple of minutes after he finished reading the letter.
"Yup!" Hunter nodded, smiling and seemingly unharmed in any way.
"Well, let me get you some breakfast and finish up some paperwork before I take you home." Nikolas took a deep breath.
"Okay."
