I have to wonder how much of the sister getting killed was really the sister's fault. Sister didn't seem too broken up when she was suddenly engaged to her sibling's ex fiance, after all, and where there's one character flaw, there are usually more. If she expects everyone to love her as a matter of course, that absolutely could have gotten her killed if she did something stupid while married to someone who wants "power, so no one can look down on me". Although I might be reading into it because I've been playing baldur's gate 3...
