I doubt this is a thing in japan, but this was something that happened in everY one of my classes in hs.
There was always that one kid, whenever the teacher didn't show up after like 2 min when the bell would ring, being like "iF thE teaCheR doeSnT shoW uP in 15 mInuTeS we cAn lEaVE" and all us 14 year olds being like, ayee yooooo we're gonna go home!! and then the teacher would show up 30 seconds later.
