My neck arched up to see that the figure standing over me was none other than one of the members of Dark Oasis.
"Oh, sorry, I'm alright. Just tired is all," I replied, not knowing the stranger who stood over me.
They extended their hand, seeming as if they were beckoning me to take it. I smiled and grabbed their hand as they pulled me up from the cold, dusty floor.
"Sorry, Lucian is a real jerk sometimes," he said, smiling at me.
"Wow, really? I hadn't noticed." I shot back; my eyes rolling dramatically.
The stranger frowned slightly, and I felt like the jerk for acting like I just had.
"Sorry... it's been kind of a long day," I apologized, awkwardly fidgeting with my hands as we stood in silence.
"It's okay. I just wanted to say, you guys played well." he said, before pausing.
"Oh, wait, I didn't mean it like in a sarcastic way or anything, I just meant..." he went on, blabbering on about the most random topics and apologies.
I couldn't help but giggle slightly at his uncoordinated social skills. It wasn't what you would expect from such a popular person.
Suddenly, he abruptly stopped talking.
"I've been speaking too long; haven't I?"
"..."
Silence followed his embarrased question.
"I have to go... sign autographs. Bye!" they said before scurrying off.
Hadn't everyone in the audience already left..? Oh well.
Spinning my ring on my fingers, I looked down at my feet and then back up to see Leo sauntering towards me.
"You ran off pretty quickly. Is everything alright?" Leo asked, with a worried look on his face.
"I'm alright, don't worry. I think I need some food to eat and something to drink," I said, sighing.
"Let's go celebrate then! Second place isn't that bad, we deserve a treat!" Leo exclaimed, excitement radiating off of him.
The rest of the band cheered, and we all headed out to the nearest bar.
