Lucas closed the car door and approached the steps cautiously. He knocked firmly twice, before resting his hand on his pistol at his waist. A man opened the door, slightly taller than Lucas, with red brown hair and blue gray eyes. His expression was blank. Of course, Lucas had no way of knowing if it was Jasper, Chris' presumed dead ex.
"Can I help you?" The man asked, with no clear accent.
Lucas looked him over, "you have something that belongs to me"
"Oh? And pray tell what might that be"
"Well, acording to my tracking device, you have my husbands wedding ring"
"You put a tracker on your partners ring? Are you that distrusting?"
"It is for his safety. In case anyone ever got the idea to kidnap him"
"Mhm, because you care so much about his safety?" The man sneered, leaning agaisnt the door frame and crossing his arms.
"And what gives you the right to think differently?" Lucas looked the man over. "At least I didn't abandon him for years"
Jasper smirked, "so you know who I am then? Well, if you want to play that game, at least I don't cuff him to the bed, rape him, and leave him there"
The blood seemed to drain from Lucas' face, "your under ar-"
Jasper held up his hand, "on what charge? Freeing Chris from your greedy paws?"
"Rape, murder, kiddnapping. You admitted it on the CD."
"Hm, but can you prove it was me? Besides, I don't see a warrant, and I have evidence of you harming Chris, so choose wisely"

Chris left the bathroom after his shower, he heard voices at the front door so he carefully crept to see who it was. He was shocked to see Jasper and Lucas talking. The tension was thick, he thought for a moment if it would be better to break it up, or leave it be. But he couldn't help but wonder, how exactly did Lucas find him? He couldn't think of a logical possibility. He couldn't have followed them, he was at work. Chris had left his phone so that wasn't it. He nervously wrung his wedding band. The only thing he had from Lucas with him. Realization dawned on him and he looked at the ring. It had to have something to do with it. He had learnt Lucas put a tracker on his phone when he lost it at the station once. Was it possible he would do the sane to the wedding band? It seemed a little much. Even for him.
