2 days Before meeting

Ophelia was sitting in the Imperial Library amidst her mountain of books that contained information about different medicines for different diseases and their healing factors.

Since this is a different world she thought medicine was also. 

"Excuse me?" A 17-year-old boy with blue hair and yellowy-green eyes asked the librarian.

"Yes?" He replied.

"You see I've been looking for books on medicine and medical history. But the shelves are empty?!" 

The librarian then laughed and pointed to where Ophelia was seated and said "That girl, she took them all,"

He then expressed a shocked expression as he saw a blonde head bobble on top of the mountain of books he'd spent so long looking for.

He frustratedly stormed up to her table and slammed his hands on the books and said "Why are you hogging all these books you wo-!"

"Yes?" Ophelia lifted her head off her book to see who was yelling at her.

However, when he was met with Ophelia's beautiful face he lost his composure and became apprehensive. 

"Err-, m...m..my name is Z...z...Za... Wah- wow um- What's wrong with me?!" He stuttered.

Ophelia then placed her hand on top of his on accident, since it was on top of the next book she needed to read. And with that, his face turned bright red.

"Oh, sorry? Did you want this book? I was planning on reading this now but,"

"HUH? WHAAAAAT-" he said as he took back his hand "N-n..no, book y...your I-I-I- b-b-b-ba"

"B-b-b-b-ba-ba. What are you a sheep ask for the damn book Zodan?!" A woman who resembled him came from behind a shelf holding a book on human biology.

"Z-Zelda!?" He shrieked in offence.

"BAHAHA!" She bellowed at him "Did you just squeal my name,"

"Uhm? So, Ahaha you guys want the books?"

Zelda then faced Ophelia with teary eyes from laughing at her brother and gasped "Wow! You're really pretty, like a lot!" 

"Thank you?" Ophelia answered her compliment.

Then she told her "And yes you see we've unfortunately been placed in the Duke of Crawford's political group. He's forcing us to gather medical info so we can challenge the aristocrats and get the case on the new disease!" Zelda told her as she and her brother took two large piles of books off of the table.

Ophelia's eyes lit up at the mention of the Duke's Political group, "Me too!" She said not noticing that they were stealing her books.

"What do you mean?" Zelda looked back at her.

"I'm on the Duke's team too!"

Immediately dropping the books Zodan smiled "Oh my!~" 

Then rolling her eyes in annoyance Zelda inquired "Where have you been for the past week then, huh?"

"Oh, I joined about 2 days ago,"

" Oh- well then... Oi! PINKY-PIE~!" She randomly let out in a melodic tone. 

Ophelia instantly became baffled "Pinky-pie? My little pony?"

"What's my little pony?" Zelda questioned, "She's this girl on our team her name is Rose-petal or something..."

"Rosetta!?"

"Oh, yeah that,"

Rosetta had appeared and was carrying many documents in her arms with a sorrowful expression.

But Zelda had ran after her brother Zodan after noticing he had left to go sit at their desks, his head glowing red like a lantern.

"Ophelia?" She glowed at her presence.

Ophelia ran up to Rose and took some of the documents out of her clutch, "What are you doing here?" Ophelia asked her.

Then with teary eyes, Rosetta had tried to let out with wavering lips "Thank you for standing up for me," she smiled

It was obvious she was upset but her words didn't match her behaviour. 

She continued "Thanks to you I finally was able to have the courage to leave princess Yvonne, but the reason I am also here-"

"Are you okay?" Ophelia asked her as tears began to stream down her cheeks.

"No, actually," she whimpered "I'm stuck here with those two, however that isn't the problem they're not that terrible. It's...,"

"What is it?" Ophelia asked as she held the crying girl in her arms.

"I've been put in the same team as the Duke of Crawford that evil scary man...I heard that he kills any of his employees that don't meet his standards. Yvonne sent me to work under him as retribution, I'd rather die! The worst part is he has had us work all day and night and even if we're exhausted, he's a monster a wicked tyrant! The things he's done are-"

"Are Rumours, what you are saying is baseless," Ophelia quickly cut her off since all of Rosetta's insults toward getting on her nerves.

'Why is Rose so afraid of Leon in the book she was always kind and considerate of him? Did something happen?!' 

Then in a soft and understanding tone, she proceeded "He isn't like you said at all, he might seem threatening and cold but we shouldn't assume what he is like without knowing,"

"Pardon?" Rosetta said as she wiped her tears.

"It's hurtful, I'm offended since I consider the Duke of Crawford a friend. And I'm not friends with just anyone," she playfully nudged her.

"Plus, saying you don't wish to work on this team makes me upset since I was so delighted to be invited to work with you guys!"

Rosetta was shocked 'She chose to work with him...' "S-sorry,"

"Get back to work!" The Duke had also suddenly appeared from behind one of the shelves, commanding in a strict shout.

Rosetta instantly shot up covering her face, and running back to her desk. 

'No! Leon you're messing up our progress!' Ophelia groaned as she watched her scurry away.

Then Leon asked Ophelia who stood in front of him "Why are you here? I thought you were joking that day and that you're sick from 2 days ago?"

Hence with a giggle, she reassured, "I was very serious! Also, there is one main reason I pulled myself back together promptly,"

Leon who was already touched by overhearing her first words about him with Rose was intrigued to know why. Even though he never really cared about others in general.

At first, he concluded that Ophelia was simply using him for whatever reason. Yet apart of him was being swayed by her.

He questioned curiously "And may I ask what that reason is?"

Picking up some of the documents Rosetta had dropped, she stepped closer to him and with a cute expression she told him.

"To help you," she gave a slight chuckle and sped off into Rosetta's direction leaving him behind.

'What? For me...?' He quickly covered his mouth attempting to prevent and hide his smile 'She considers me her friend as well,' and at the memory of what she had told Rosetta his ears slightly became red.

'Maybe...she is grateful to me?' He then turned around to face her and when their eyes met she presented him with a smile. 

However Leon instantly looked away "Tsk, how annoying,"
