That was my first casual stream, using my new streaming plan! I decided to have Monday as a set day for casual streams and Friday as a set day for speedruns. Of course, I’d still do speedruns and casual streams on other days, following a loose schedule. Like I did with Firby, which I played three days in a row.
I know, I make it out like streaming is my life, but that’s obviously not true. I still got uni to do ... sort of. And I still had my DnD group around!
And we were about to have our first in-person session in a while.
So naturally, I spent hours on end in front of the mirror.
Okay, let me backtrack a bit to explain.
So, my DnD group went online during the pandemic after which Crush joined us, who doesn’t know me irl, which is important because I play as a female character, so he thinks I am a girl, because I am also V-Tubing as one.
I think that about summarizes it.
I let my forehead sink against the mirror, as I cursed myself for the giant pile of shit I dove into headfirst.
And today would be the day, I would meet him for the first time.
Option A: I tell him the truth.
Option B: I somehow manage to keep this a secret by pretending to be a girl irl as well?
Nah, cross-dressing’s not gonna fly.
Even if I managed to trick him, nearly everyone else knows me, which would lead to lots and lots of awkwardness.
I could fake sickness.
Considering that damn virus is still around that would provide me with the perfect alibi.
That one sentence from that V-Tuber contest flashed before my mind once more.
„Be your best authentic self.“
I laughed bitterly at my mirror image.
I guess today would be the day I told him.
