That year was quite fun; thanks to different management and my being used to living alone and balancing work and life: I learned quite a few things.. (Some I might've already explained)
The company was fairly new and IS very seedy, the workers weren't treated badly yet had nothing except small payments from Rottweiler. (most had their own place or lived with family; only working there as a way to pursue their dreams) Our target audience was those who liked: kiddy, harsher, or more unfinished looking art. The aesthetic was that our comics always would look very different, as compared to cute and more realistic or even anime style comics. So…this felt like a insult (to some workers), but also I knew there were people who were looking for my style SPECIFICALLY so it was nice. The poor supervision is what lead to arguments being settled by verbal fights, but also gave me the freedom to just live in a building with already paid for utilities, and I had time to work on my opus again. Something I meant to do for YEARS, but never found a time to do so..
Unfortunately; everything was saved on this old tablet and I had no reason to move anything over as everything new was done on the newer devices I brought for work and what was provided by Rottweiler. So when this middle-aged woman bumped me (by mistake) and knocked it down; the damage destroyed 2-3 years worth of my passion project.. Nigh all of it was gone, and all I got was a annoyed "Sorry." from her. I had no idea if anything was salvageable and so finished what I DID do on a newer device and had nothing to match it up with. There was a little posted online, but not EVERYTHING.. Unfortunately this wasn't the final blow…..
