"Seriously! Just see around you… No electricity," Ramika said. It’s 8:00 AM.
We ruined the whole power line. Everyone is thinking that the main board is burned out due to some internal issue. Only me and Yatin know the facts, and now our family.
"Now what?" Ramika again asked.
"Uh, I am calling an electrician." I said
"Leave it… I already called him." Yatin said. Seriously, the tone he used is like, All mistakes are mine only… I admit that it was my idea, but he also supported me.
The electrician came, looked at the main board, and then at all of us.
"Any extra load?" He asked first.
"Uh! Yeah, I just did some experiment…" I said to avoid any misleading.
"Yeah, he is just… you know!" Creepy words from Yatin.
"Uh… It will take time. In the meantime, I am connecting all the load to the generator."
"Day-One, initiating our first experiment with a pen." Yatin started again.
"Second!" I said.
"What?"
"It’s our second time."
"Wooo, now you want others to know about our failure. And I think Zero is bad for us!"
"Failures are the steps towards success." I am still setting up wires.
"These are just words."
Yatin continued his action. It is again 1:00 AM right now. The main power came at nine when we packed up with dinner.
"Okay, we are ready to go." Yatin said, but this time he is also nervous. Obviously, maybe this time we will blast our house or society… maybe the whole world, who knows.
I took a deep breath and turned it on. The same sound came again.
"Hold on!" Yatin said this time.
It's been more than a minute, machine is still making sound.
"Should we turn it off?" I murmured to myself, enough for Yatin to listen.
"Yeah…" He turned off the recorder.
I finally decided to turn it off, and just before that… One bright yellow light sparks out of the pen.
"What the hell was that?" Yatin is breathing heavily. There is one PINNNN sound all around.
"At least power is there." I saw tubelight from my stretched eyes.
"Well!" Yatin said, "Where is the pen?"
