`So... what was it like commanding a great big army?'
`I would say it was scary at first but after a while, it's not a big deal really, you have to always be focused and be aware of everything ahead of you' Norman then broke his silence
`Indeed you do, and to be on the lookout for what the enemy is trying to do, I remember that bit where the necromancers set up a trap inside that castle, I'll tell you this right now, if Richard were in command, he would have fallen for it like the moron he is' Robert and Walter laughed, Arthur laughed too but he looked promptly at the front chair and around the room. `What's up Arthur?' asked Norman.
`Checking to see if Dad's here'
`Well it's a good thing he's not here right now, otherwise we'll all be dead!' said Lydia, who was also giggling a bit.
`By the way Walter, what do you think of this sword?' Arthur took out a black sword with a skull above its hilt.
`Wow Arthur! That is quite a nasty-looking sword you've got there, where did you get it?'
`What kind of wacko wielded that?' asked Lydia with a somewhat nervous sounding voice.
`Walter, what I want to know is why the metal is black' Walter sat silent for a few moments.
`I don't know Arthur, I never thought that was possible, but with magic and all, especially the type the necromancers use, it is certainly possible, though it could have just been painted black, mind you.'
`Well... thanks Walter' The first course the dinner party had arrived: there were six stuffed chickens on a plate. The servant also brought out more red wine.
`I'm not too fond of chicken, but anyway, let's enjoy our meal.' said Walter. The other four seemed happy enough eating them. Along side the chicken was a salad meal.
`Walter, you know who should be eating salads right now?' Arthur asked Walter, who got nervous upon being asked that.
`Who?'
`My fat father' They then all laughed. `He drinks loads of beer too, no wonder he's so fat.' said Lydia.
`Anyway, what were we talking about ?' asked Walter, to which Lydia suggested:
`Something to do with swords?'
`As yes, an evil sword indeed, used by what I would think would be an evil man' said Walter
`He certainly seemed that way. And if I'm not mistaken, the whole reason why the town was attacked was because he and his group of necromancers wanted to raid the castle and sell everything valuable there. Thanks to him over a thousand people died.'.
`Well Arthur had I met him I would have shoved his sword up his-' Walter then noticed Lydia had an angry look. 'Errm I would have.... hacked him to pieces! What happened to him by the way?'
`He's been held in the castle dungeon for interrogation” said Norman before Arthur had a chance to say anything. `After that I'm pretty sure he'll be executed.' he added.
`Wait a minute... who's doing all this interrogation stuff?' asked Lydia.
`Wouldn't that be King Richard?' Robert asked, looking at Norman
`Yes, he'll have a torturer with him, just to let you know.'
`So is that's why he isn't here?' Lydia asked
`Yes, but he might over come to this party, and then he'll ruin everything like he always does.'
`Wow Norman!’ said Robert ‘You really hate his guts! But why exactly?' Norman started to get nervous, and avoided saying anything. Arthur was looking at him intently, though he never said anything.
The second course of the dinner arrived. There were seven pigeons and some rabbits.
`Wow, this chef really has a thing for birds, doesn't he?' complained Walter
`Dad, you can have the rabbits instead'
`Oh OK, I'll.... have that.' Moments later, Richard burst into the dining hall. He immediately noticed that someone was sitting on his great big chair
`Guards! Get this idiot off my chair!'
They did just that and he immediately sat on his chair, looking at Arthur in particular. `Get the chef to me at once!'
The chef came along to Richard, he was rather nervous.
`Chef! What are all those god-damn birds doing there? I want beef, at once! And lots of it, a whole cow if you can! Bring me a gallon of beer too!'
`Yes... sir'
`That's “Your Majesty”! Now get to it!' Somehow the dining hall was much quieter since he had entered, some of the guests decided to leave.
`Where's the next course?' asked Norman `I want to leave.'
`Me too.' said Robert. They both decided to leave the dining hall.
`I think I might go as well, I have a sword to smith.' said Walter
`At this time at night?'
`Errrr... yes Lydia'
Since then more and more people left the dining hall, leaving just Arthur, Lydia, Richard and two of his assistants in the dining room.
`I want to go too Arthur, I... want to read a book' She then left the dining room. Arthur however decided to stay.
`What ungrateful sods! Do they realise how much effort I put into this dinner party?!' bemoaned Richard. Arthur just glared at him. `Arthur! come here, I have something to tell you.'
`Oh great... what is it now?' Arthur muttered, to himself. Though he complied and went over to him.
`You know that necromancer leader you brought me? He had a lot of interesting things to say about Queen Juliet! But I won't spoil the surprise, everything will be revealed tomorrow, for now, I want to unwind with a gallon of my finest beer!' Immediately after hearing the bit about beer, Arthur hurried out of the room, Lydia was waiting for him.
`Arthur, how about we go out of the castle?' she asked. Arthur was thinking for a while and answered:
'No thanks, I tend to do stupid things once I've had too many drinks.' Lydia calmed down a bit, and answered:
