ART-WISE: Very consistently eye pleasing! Backgrounds are nicely painted and drawn in blurry greyscale, which makes the characters stand out much more. Impact panels REALLY deliver the action going on, and the use of lines to show movement or emotion is on point! For shading, the combined use of shades of grey while also using render lines and "comic patterns" are nicely executed and makes the comic stand out. Really, there are only two points I have a problem with. Emotion and sound effects, as well as the distinction between characters. So I get how every character is supposed to be >:( or <:(, but there are way more emotions in between. I feel like you didn't use the catalogue of emotions people have when fighting something like an entity. For example: if they're fighting for the people, their faces should show some anxiety for surrounding citizens, if they're fighting because it's their job their faces should show how much more they're focused on the entity than anything else. I didn't really feel that while looking at their faces. Also, I wish there was more of an emotional distinction between the main characters (I'll get to that when I get the writing). As for the sound effects, I think that they're kinda basic. In some panels, it's more interesting (such as the SLASH), but you should've tried drawing the effects in rather than typing and then warping it. It adds more distinction between actions someone does. So, yeah! That's the criticism I have to say about the art. Just add more distinctions between stuff. The rest is all peak. (Especially the last panel my god)
WRITING-WISE: The premise is cool. I like it. This is just one chapter so I'm not going into full detail about it since I need to see it develop more ( and the character limit is being reached). I'm just going to say that, as an action comic, building character is extra important. I should be able to tell apart Rua and the others.
Contains MAJOR SPOILERS for the remaster, read at your own risk.
