Sun Yinghao walked towards her, his warm smile lighting up his face.
"Li Na! What are you doing here?" he asked, surprised to see his student standing alone on the street.
"I was just heading back home," Li Na replied, feeling a little embarrassed that she had been caught staring.
Sun Yinghao nodded, his eyes still fixed on her. "Well, it's getting late. You shouldn't be wandering around by yourself. Do you need a ride?"
Li Na was hesitating to follow Mr. Sun. She tried to give excuses that she can walk to the bus stop, but who was she kidding? It was getting late, and a trip to the bus stop was still far.
Sun Yinghao could see the reluctance in her eyes, but he also knew that it was not safe for her to walk home alone. He insisted, "Come on, Li Na, let me give you a ride. It's not safe for a young girl like you to be out here alone at this hour."
Li Na felt her cheeks grow warm with embarrassment. She didn't like feeling vulnerable or weak, but she also knew that she didn't have a choice. She reluctantly agreed, and Mr. Sun led her to Tang Zheng's sleek black Rolls-Royce.
As they reached the car, Sun Yinghao introduced Li Na to Tang Zheng, "This is one of my students, Li Na."
Tang Zheng turned to look at her, his dark eyes locking onto hers. Li Na felt a shiver run down her spine as she met his gaze. He had a commanding presence.
"Tang Zheng," he introduced himself, his deep voice sending a thrill through her.
As Sun Yinghao mentioned his intention to drop Li Na off since it was getting late, Tang Zheng turned his attention towards the young girl. He nodded once, understandingly, before turning his gaze towards Li Na. She felt her heart skip a beat under his piercing gaze.
Li Na's heart fluttered at the sound of his deep, commanding voice.
As they entered the car, Tang Zheng courteously held the door open for Li Na, allowing her to step in first. Sun Yinghao followed suit and took the front seat, while Tang Zheng settled in beside Li Na. His broad shoulders and muscular build filled the space, emanating an aura of strength and power.
As Li Na sat next to him, she couldn't help but notice the alluring scent of his cologne that seemed to envelop her. It was a heady mix of musk and sandalwood, with a hint of citrus that made her feel dizzy. She couldn't resist stealing a glance at him and found herself completely taken in by his presence.
As the car pulled away from the curb, the car ride was quiet, with only the soft purr of the engine and the occasional sound of traffic. Sun Yinghao tried to make small talk, but Tang Zheng's curt responses made it clear he wasn't interested in chatting. Li Na sat there in silence, watching the passing scenery and stealing glances at Tang Zheng whenever she thought he wouldn't notice.
As Li Na stole a glance at him, she couldn't help but feel captivated by Tang Zheng's intense focus on his work. The way his jaw tightened as he read through each email, the way his fingers moved confidently over the screen, and the way he exuded a sense of authority and control over the situation, all made her heart flutter with admiration.
As the car pulled up in front of Li Na's house, Tang Zheng's intoxicating scent lingered around her.
She turned back to look at him, and found him staring back at her. His eyes were dark and brooding, and Li Na felt her cheeks grow warm under his intense gaze.
"Goodnight, Li Na," Tang Zheng said softly, his voice low and husky.
"Goodnight," Li Na replied, unable to tear her gaze away from him.
Sun Yinghao also bid her goodnight from the front seat, a warm smile on his face.
Sun Yinghao added, "Take care, Li Na. Don't stay up too late studying."
Li Na smiled and nodded. "I won't. Goodnight."
As she stepped out of the car and walked towards her door, she turned to see him still sitting in the car, watching her intently. Their eyes met once more before he drove off, leaving her with a racing heart.
