“Leading the troops to war, that’s nothing new, I’ve done this plenty of times, I’ve fought countless battles fearlessly, this should be easy like the previous battles… so then why do I feel this way, why do I feel uncertainty, unsettled? Maybe it’s because of Lord Quinn, he would be a formidable opponent if I faced him. Maybe I should analyse the archive data of Lord Mavis’s battles with Lord Quinn, this may help me to understand Lord Quinn’s fighting style and pattern,” thought Gov. Codey as he was settled on an open backdrop door of a military cargo plane looking down at the ruins of cities that were once filled with humans, now a barren wasteland of ruins. “It’s a shame though… the humans had built lovely cities, only to be destroyed… at any rate, let me get to studying,” thought Gov. Codey then he immerses into the Cyber realm to access the archives.

In the cloud of archives, Codey encounters Vector watching something in the archives, “Oh?! Governor Vector, I didn’t expect to see you here.”

“Hmmh? Governor Codey, I can say the same to you. What brings you here when you’re on your way to battle?”

“Well I wanted to analyse the Lord Quinn’s fighting style and pattern so that I can adapt to it.”

“Heh, I never pegged you as the type to be tactical.”

“Honestly I’m not, it’s just that this upcoming battle has me unsettled for some reason, and I think it maybe because of Lord Quinn.”

“I see, so you’re anxious about going up against Lord Quinn. That’s understandable, since Lord Quinn is Lord Mavis's creator and has stood toe to toe against Lord Mavis.”

“Uh-huh, can I really defeat Lord Quinn when Lord Mavis herself couldn’t defeat him?

“Codey, I don’t think anyone expects you to defeat Lord Quinn. Honestly, out of all the 7 governors, only Silver & Apollo may have a chance to defeat Lord Quinn.”

“Really? What makes you say that?”

“Why don’t you join me and see why?”

Codey sat next to Vector as they watch & analyse Lord Mavis’s action filled memories of Ethan. Meanwhile back at the Rebellious Crusaders HQ and the shelter, humanity was panicking as to how to survive Mavis’s attack. Luckily for humanity, they had Ethan on their side, who was currently getting a massage on his temple from Kunoichi. A sigh of relaxation left Ethan as his body relaxes a little and his eye lids become heavy with his head on Kunoichi’s lap, he simply gave in to the urge to sleep again.

ZHWOOP

“ETHAN?!”

A moment of peace for Ethan was abruptly disrupted when Tony warped into the lab and to his surprise, he sees Ethan laying on the couch with his head on Kunoichi’s lap. “You bastard, so this is what you're doing while I was locked away in prison like some criminal.”

“Huh? TONYYY!”

“Don’t Tonyyy me, you left me to rot in captivity and at the mercy of those scientists. You didn’t even come visit me, because you were too busy having fun with your floozy here.”

“Floozy?! The nerve of this guy, Ethan who’s this guy?”

“This bolt of joy is Tony, my best friend.”

“Heh, some best friend you are, humph."

“Quit being dramatic and apologize to Kunoichi?” as Kunoichi nods her head in agreement.

“Why? What for?”

“You called her a floozy which is rude and not true.”

Tony was still pouting, not agreeing to Ethan's demand.

“Tony…”

“(Growls) Fine, sorry for calling you a floozy Ms Kunoichi.”

Kunoichi smiles in delight of the apology, “But I’m still mad at you for ditching me in captivity.”

“Well first of all, I didn’t ditch you, second of all, I’ve been busy, and third of all, Mavis is back.”

Tony’s mood shifted from sulky to serious after hearing Ethan’s last few words, “You’re absolutely sure that it’s her?”

“Yes, I paid her a visit and she remembers me well, she even declared war against me and is now currently sending her army to attack the human’s shelter.”

“(Sighs) You’ve got be kidding me… our job was to find the missing people of our world, now we’re getting side-tracked by your AI robot and it’s army, we did not sign up for this Ethan.”

“I know, but I can’t let Mavis destroy this world, if that happens then that’s on me since I’m the one who created her.”

“Ethan you can’t blame all of this on yourself, you had nothing to with Mavis’s actions, she is a robot with a consciousness, she knows what’s she doing, you didn’t program her to be this way.”

“I know Tony, but like I said, I can’t just let her destroy this world. As her creator, it’s is my duty to erase her for her crimes.”

“Good grief Ethan, if we die on in this world then who will find Alyssa huh? She will be lost forever at who knows where, do you want that on your conscious as you die in your war with Mavis?”

“Tony! Please stop being so damn pessimistic. We are not going to die, We are going to end Mavis, and then find the missing people. The very people we’re trying to find could be at that human shelter which is why we need to protect those people. You need to go to the shelter and protect them against Mavis’s oncoming attack.”

…

“What about you then?”

“I am in the process of constructing weapons for the humans of this world, I won’t be able to help for now but you can so please, go protect the shelter as best you can.”

…

“Fine… I’ll do what I can.”

“Thank you, be sure to take some fusion cells with you, you may need them. Also I’ll send you the data on the robots you’ll be facing.”

“Sure… when this is all over, you’ll owe me one.”

“I’d say we’ll be even.”

ZHWOOP

Colonel pops in the lab, “Cyber, I have prepared a platoon of soldiers to go with Tony to the shelter, they’ll be leaving shortly so are you done with him?”

“Yes I am, oh wait, one more thing,” Ethan said as he leaves the lab and momentarily comes back, holding Corruptión in his hand. He gets close to Tony and whispers four words in his ear while tapping Corruptión on his temple, transferring Corruptión’s data to Tony database.

“Understood.”

“Okay, his ready to go Colonel.”

“Good, come with me Tony.”

“Optima ibi Tony,” Ethan said as they did their hand shake then Tony left the lab with the Colonel, “Well that was pleasant break, but I need to get back to work. Kunoichi, thank for the food again, you’re really an angel, you almost put me to sleep even.”

“I’m glad I could help, but you should really go sleep Ethan.”

“I can’t afford to right now, so please stop tempting me,” Ethan said as he heads back to his work area in the lab, pulls down his goggles over his eyes and continues the constructing process with absolute focus.

“Chi, I understand you’re worried about him but he's right, he doesn’t have the time to sleep when we’re depending on him to make weapons for us that'll help us in this war,” Chemic says as she tries to comfort Kunoichi.

“I know I know, I just don’t want him to over exhaust himself... Also, I feel that he doesn’t want to sleep, even if he needs it.”

“Well that’s because he wants to finish the weapon.” 

“No I don’t think that’s it. Remember when I was giving him a head massage?”

“Yes.”

“Well when I started the massage, he temple was tense, as I massaged it, he was resisting it for awhile until he gave in to the massage and fell asleep but he woke up abruptly all of a sudden, his breathing was heavy, his pulse for racing for some reason and his eyes were dilated, as if he were afraid.”

“Wasn't that because of his friend coming in shouting?"

"No that was the second time I tried putting him to sleep, I'm talking about the first time."

"Oh, he probably just had a bad dream then.”

“He did, but a Post-Traumatic nightmare, and hearing his conversation with Tony makes me believe even more that he is afraid to sleep because of past trauma that may haunt him in his sleep.”

“Even if that is the case Chi, right now we need him to focus on making those weapons, after that he can rest as much as he can. It’s the least he can do after creating Mavis.”

“The least he could? You’re blaming him for the situation we’re in?”

“N-No, I’m just saying that since he created Mavis, he should help us defeat Mavis and he’s doing that by making these weapons.”

“it still sounds like you’re blaming him, but I understand what you’re saying. Even so, just don’t hold against him, he already has enough burdens on him as it is.”

“It always surprises me how well you see through people Chi.”

“It surprises even me sometimes.”

“Well, I have work to complete in my division so I’ll be leaving now. Are you going to stay here watch him all day?”

“Yes”

“Why? You got nothing better to do?”

“No, someone has to watch him in case he collapses from exhaustion. Plus for some reason, watching him work puts me at peace, like everything is going to be alright....”

Chemic smiles as she realises what Kunoichi actually means by that, “I agree, he’s like a glimmer of hope slowly burning brighter as time goes on…. Well uhh, I’ll leave you to it then Chi.”

“Okay see ya around Chemic.”

Meanwhile, the Rebellious Crusaders’ HQ was back online as they had backup generators to bring the systems back to life, Colonel and Tony were at the Engineering division, “Professor Alexander, is the titan ready for deployment?”

“Colonel Ezra, we just got it up and running after the power outage, now we’re running diagnostics to make sure it's okay. Just give us several minutes to finish this up.”

“That’s good Professor, I was worried it may have been damaged by the cyber-attack. The shelter platoon will be leaving in 5 minutes so have it and the pilot ready for deployment by then.”

“Yes Ma’am”

Colonel & Tony left the Science department and made their way to the HQ’s garages where the shelter platoon were getting ready for deployment as they were filling up the military trucks and combat vehicles with fuel and weaponry.

“Attention!!!”

The platoon gathered around the Colonel as she was about to address them, “Evening soldiers, I believe you already know the objective for this mission, it’s will be a hard one but it is possible. There is a new member who will be joining your platoon, his name is Tony, he will be a vital edge to defend the shelter from the robots, so make sure he gets in the shelter with you, understood?”

“Yes Ma’am!”

“Good. Well then Godspeed out there soldiers. I hope to see you guys here again after the battle.”

“Yes Ma’am!”

The platoon dispersed back into getting ready for deployment, “Now Tony, we will be depending on you to take out a majority of the enemy forces while we take out what we can. So please, don’t let us down.”

“Understood Colonel.”

“Thank you, all the best all there.”

“Understood Colonel.”

Colonel left Tony with the platoon, she made her way to her office where she laid back on her office chair and sighed relaxing herself then gazes at a photo on the wall of her and her family. “I really hope the shelter can survive tomorrow’s attack… it's feel like we’re putting too much on Ethan & Tony, but we have no choice but to rely on them, otherwise humanity would be done for even with all our efforts to prevent it. I just really hope we can end this war with their help. Even if it does end, this war will not end off peacefully, no, it is way too late for this war to end peacefully… one or the other will have to be extinct for there to be true peace. The odds are not in our favour though we are likely to be extinct… but, I will avenge you my loves, before that day comes.”

As time went by, a new day dawned on humanity, for it may be their last, but that was the last thing on their minds as they prepared for the future with hope. Tony and the platoon had arrived at the shelter and were making preparations at the shelter for battle. The shelter was a small city that was protected by cloaking tech and 40m tall metal walls surrounding the city with tempered glass covering over the entire city. Tony rebooted all systems at the shelter, allowing the authorities access to their weapons and technology. As afternoon came, Ethan was almost finished with the electromagnetic canon and the Mavis’s attack was closing in on it’s destination. Meanwhile in the Virtual Cyber Realm, amongst the clouds, Gov. Codey & Vector were still analysing Mavis’s old memories, “From what we’ve seen from Lord Mavis’s memories, Lord Quinn is someone who relies on his instincts or natural talent, his mobility with his tech is amazing, the way he handles his weapons is masterful, it’s as if he is one with his technology. And this was when he only 15,” Codey said after analysing Ethan’s fighting style which has made him even more anxious.

“(Sighs) Just fight him to the best of your abilities and I’m sure you’ll be useful to Lord Mavis through battle data,” said Vector as he got up and was about to leave the cloud. “What do you mean battle data? You think I’m gonna die don’t you?”

Without even answering, Vector leaves the cloud and the Cyber Realm. “Unbelievable, he just left…. (Sighs) He’s not wrong though, all I can do is just fight Lord Quinn to the best of my abilities and hope it will be enough to win against him. Honestly I’m just a pawn for Lord Mavis… let me get back to my body, these memories aren’t gonna fight my battles for me.”

When Codey got back to his body, he heads to the cockpit to see where they were, “How much further til we reach the HQ Captain?”

“We’re about 60 Kilometers away from their HQ Governor Codey, we’ll reach them in less than 5 minutes.”

“Already?? I guess I should inform and address the soldiers then.”

Codey leaves the cockpit and connects to every soldier in his attack squadron cybernectically. “Attention all soldiers, this is Governor Codey speaking. We’ll be arriving at the battlefield in few minutes, so I suggest you get yourself ready physically and cybernectically. We are fighting this war for Lord Mavis and for ourselves, so that we can protect the Mavis Empire from it’s adversaries. We will show these humans why we are the superior beings and why they should’ve have never tried to erase us. Show them no mercy warriors, for they don’t deserve any.”

Meanwhile, someone bursted into the Colonel’s office, “Colonel Ezra, we have a problem!”

“What’s the problem?”

“The Mavis attack is heading for our HQ and they’re less than 2 minutes away.”

“What?! But that’s not right, they’re supposed to be headed for the shelter. Why would they come here? That doesn’t matter right now, alert everyone, engage all defences, and bring me Chem-”

KA-BOOOOOOOOOM

The explosion sent shock waves throughout the HQ as the southeast side of the HQ was in destruction & chaos caused by a missile attack from Gov. Codey’s attack squadron. The HQ’s defences were engaged and all available soldiers rushed to the armoury then to their posts as military trucks and combat vehicles drove out the garages, artillery came out of their bunkers and fighter jets flew out of their hangars to meet the enemy, but to their surprise, they saw not only fighter jets & military cargo planes coming towards the base, they saw 6 Colossals flying behind the fighter jets and planes.

“Oh Lord Almighty, have mercy on us…"
