I've climbed your walls that stretched towards the sky. It took a while but I reached the top, even reached the other side. I got to roam in your world for a bit and saw how different it was from mine. Where I had eternal day, you had a never-ending night. A world covered in nothing but the stars and moonlight.
It was a world most suited to you, a person who's cold at first glance but brings nothing but comfort once you slip deeper. The dark kept you from getting burned, it hid your secrets, and the gentle breeze helped you sleep.
Then I came around and you welcomed me. We roamed your vast lands, from the garden of your joys, to the seas of your sorrows. I've seen the memories engraved in your tree's leaves, we danced with the memories of fireflies that always put you at ease.
And when the night grew too dark for the both of us, I became our candle. It started with a gentle light, enough to warm us and illuminate our path. It allowed us to walk hand in hand in the absence of a star-lit path.
The deeper into your world that we went, the darker the nights got. I made my candle shine brighter but the fire became too intense for you.
Eventually, it burned out. You and I, left in a cold dark cave.
We try to find a way out together, but we only end up pulling each other into different directions which only served to lead us deeper.
It came to a point where you let go of my hand and said that we should find our way out alone.
It took a while, but I'm finally out, back in the other side of the wall. I want to get back in but it'd be best if I never bothered you again.
