And so they all went back over to the briefing room, Richard went over to the map on the table and started talking once again. 'OK boys, look at this map, in the middle is us, of course, the great city of Rosethorne, home to the Rosethorne Kingdom! To the east is the Lucianna Kingdom, of which I like to call the Vampire Kingdom, that's Juliet's Kingdom, as you can see it's as big as ours and-'
'Oh for crying out loud Dad, what are you doing?! I know all of this! Get to the point!' Richard was then pointing to a city which was North to Rosethorne.
'This is Silverwood, the city you'll be going to, I want you to negotiate with the leader in order to convince him to stay with us and raise an army to help us defeat those evil vampires!'
'Fair enough, but that's quite a way to go.' stated Arthur
'Ah yes, this time, I've prepared transport for you so you can relax while having your journey! You can even bring some friends with you this time. You can even bring you harlot with you so you can be in such comfort.'
Arthur was confused, `What, you mean Lydia?!' shouted Arthur in disgust. He then punched him clean in the face. Richard hardly budged, however. He simply shouted:
'Arthur! That is no way to treat your father!' Norman was about to explode upon hearing what he just heard.
'How dare you call her that! She's a lovely young lady and our future queen! Well, depending on what Arthur has in mind for her' said Norman `Oh by the way, that's no way to treat your son either' Richard then just stood silent for a while.
'Anyway, do we have any questions?' asked Richard
'Well thanks for asking. Why can't we just order the leader to raise an army? Silverwood belongs to us, right?'
'Yes it does, Arthur. But the trouble is that they've been threatening to become an independent kingdom, so that needs sorting out, they've even been threatening to join the Vampires!' Arthur was then knocked back, looking stunned.
'I think I'll just get on with then'
'Yes Arthur! That's my boy!'
And so the three left the room. As they walked across the corridor away from the throne room they all had a chance to voice their opinions.
'Arthur, your dad is horrible!' declared Robert.
'You don't say!' shouted Arthur, who appeared to be in utter disbelief 'Seriously Robert, what rock have you been living under?'
'I'm... kind of new here, I don't know King Richard that well. I keep hearing back home that he's some great hero'
'He most certainly is not, Robert’ said Norman ‘everything you've been told at your home is probably one big lie'
'Speaking of which, where were you from originally?' Arthur asked.
'Redwater'
'Oh... that explains everything’ said Norman ’He's very popular amongst the rich over there. Their leader Sigebert Redwater is especially fond of him' Redwater was a city south east of Rosethorne, near its border. Norman decided to speak to Arthur for a while before setting off.
`Arthur, I'll go and find the transport that Richard has arranged for us, just tell me once you're ready, and we'll be off.”
`And I'll get some of the knights to protect us.' Robert added.
`Good, you two can do that, while I'll go and find Lydia'
Arthur went down left wing of the castle of where the castle forge was. Walter and Lydia were both there, Walter was forging swords and other equipment, while Lydia was basically just an assistant, though she also kept her father company. Sometimes she helped design some of the swords, too. She straight over to Arthur as soon as she noticed him.
'Hello Arthur! Don't worry, Walter told me everything. What's up with that lunatic Juliet? She wants to take us over?! And she makes potions out of people's blood? I mean... that's disgusting!'
'Yes, I know. It's horrific' Arthur was very agitated and took a few moments to calm down. 'Lydia... Me, Norman and Robert are off on a trip to Silverwood to negotiate with their leader. And... I would like you to come with me!' Lydia had an excited look on her face, but at the same time she looked a bit uneasy with the situation.
'But Arthur, don't the people of Silverwood hate us with a fiery burning passion?'
'Well... apparently they want to be independent and may even join the Vampires so...'
'They do indeed, Arthur, you'll have to be careful' said Walter.
'Well Lydia, are you coming with me or what?'
'Of course, Arthur!' Walter then sighed
'Great, now who's going to sweep me floors?!' Lydia just laughed, and so did Walter though Arthur was left loooking embarrassed, eventually he laughed as well.
'Just look after my darling daughter for me, Arthur'
'Oh of course I will!'
After all of them had packed clothes for their journey, it was time to set off to Silverwood.
