The battle was underway as the first attack was launched on the Rebellious Crusaders’ HQ leaving a destructive impact on them. Colonel Ezra was in the mission control room with other crusaders observing the battlefield, “Ready the missiles and aim them at the Colossals!”

A few of the backdoors of Gov. Codey’s military cargo planes opened and hundreds of Androids jumped off swiftly descending and landing heavily on the ground then they charged towards the southeast region of Rebellious Crusaders HQ. The soldiers had formed a barricade at the southeast region using military trucks & combat vehicles, they were gunning down Androids as they charged toward them but then.

DOOOM!

The Colossals' landing caused tremors that shook the ground, the soldiers at the barricade were holding their ground well against the Androids but with every step the Colossals took, their fear increased & their courage diminished. “Six Colossals heading towards us Colonel.”

“Fire the missiles!”

ROWHOOSH!

Multiple missiles were launched at the Colossals, but the Gun Colossal aimed its massive machine guns at the incoming missiles and fired away.

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrr BRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrr!!

The continuous sound of gunshots ached the soldiers’ ears as the missiles exploded in mid-air nowhere near the Colossals, doing no damage to them. “D-D-Do we continue firing the m-missiles Colonel Ezra?”

“……No, we’ll be wasting our missiles if we keep firing them at the Colossals so focus the missiles on the cargo planes. The Colossals are in the dead zone so activate the landmines.”

“Yes Ma’am”

With a flip of a switch, all the landmines in the dead zone, otherwise known as no man’s land, were activated and with the movement of the Colossals in the dead zone, multiple landmines were triggered and exploded under the feet of a few Colossals.

“I must say, the humans have improved their defense strategies since the last time we battled. I guess if you give them time, they can be resourceful and diligent. But-”

RUMBLE

Even amidst the smokescreen, the soldiers could still hear the rumbling footsteps of the Colossals, “-That won’t be enough to take down the Colossals,” thought Codey as the Colossals continued walking towards the HQ.

“Colonel!?! What do we do? We have nothing that can take down those Colossals.”

RUMBLE

“Damn it! What are those things made of??”

With a round of bullets, the Gun Colossal took out the southeast barricade with ease, leaving the southeast region exposed as the military cargo planes were flying over the HQ while androids were dropping down like heavy raindrops on the HQ and were rushing into the HQ, “Colonel, we’ve been breached, the automata have gotten in.”

“Don’t worry about the southeast region Colonel, I’ll hold them off, just get the other squadron members here.”

“Flash?! Is that you?!”

“Yeah it’s me, I’m already on site so hurry up with the backup.”

“Right.”

DOO DUM DOO

“Attention all Crusaders! Stay at your posts and watch all possible entry points, the Androids have landed on the HQ so they will be trying to enter the HQ through these entry points so keep an eye out for them. Ninja & Bradley! Go help Flash in the southeast region. Chemic! Bring Ethan to the mission control room.”

Flash was rushing in evasively as he was accurately shooting the Androids with an M16 Assault rifle, his unorthodox swift movement made it almost impossible for the Androids to shoot him as he slid behind a pillar then quickly peeked and shot the Androids, taking out one by one with every peek. One of the Androids then threw a grenade that landed by Flash who immediately noticed it and bolted from the pillar.

BOOM!!

Flash hid around a corner and continued quick peeking & shooting then another grenade was thrown around the corner by an Android and it landed just behind Flash. “I’m screwed, if I run out now I’ll be gunned down instantly or I’ll be stunned then be gunned down, so how do I get myself out of this situation?” thought Flash in that nano-second amidst the chaos. Flash quickly unhooked a grenade in a second while barely kicking the flash-bang around the corner before it went off,

BANG!!

He was blinded as he fell to the ground, his ears were ringing but he still managed to just throw the grenade around the corner and slowly crawled away in his stunned state.

BOOM!!

The grenade managed to take out a few Androids and buy him some time to recover but Flash was breathing heavily as he dragged himself down a hallway and around another corner so that he could recover. The Androids who were unaffected by the grenade, headed towards Flash, he heard their footsteps and threw another grenade around the corner.

BOOM!!

Flash was able to get back up on his feet and waited until he could hear footsteps again but instead, he heard gunfire & explosions coming from the other end of the hallway, “Flash! Buddy, your backup has arrived,” Ninja said as he and Bradley gunned the Androids with Molly & the M16.

“It’s about damn time y’all showed up!” Flash joined in as he shot the androids while they were distracted by Ninja and Bradley.

“Hehe, our bad, we were caught up with traffic in the armory!” Ninja shouted over the gunfire and explosions.

“Uh-huh! Where are the girls?!”

“We don’t know, they’re probably with Cyber!” replied Ninja.

“Cyber??? Ooh, the new guy right? I need to meet this guy after all this!”

“That can be arranged, but focus on these robots first then you can meet Cyber!”

“How tedious"

Meanwhile, outside in the sky, Codey was standing on top of a soaring military cargo plane and was looking down at the battle going on below at the HQ as the Colossals were getting closer to the HQ and the planes were about to circle around after flying over the HQ.

“Colonel, the enemy’s cargo planes are circling back.”

“Then fire the heat-seeker missiles at them.”

BOOOMM!!!

The Colossals stumbled upon another landmine field which slowed down their progress to the HQ even more. “Excellent, now shoot down those planes.”

ROWHOOOSSH

Codey saw multiple incoming missiles, “Oh no you don’t.” He powered up the mini electromagnetic cannon in his arm and started running on the wing of the plane then leaped higher into the sky and landed on another plane. He aimed at the missiles and quickly calculated which ones to shoot as he realized he couldn’t shoot them all in time. Once the cannon was ready, he shot multiple blasts at the incoming missiles and they exploded on impact. The remaining missiles took out two planes, “Luckily those planes were empty so I didn’t lose any warriors from that. They’re using heat-seeker, which is good for us, we have a defense strategy for that other than me of course.”

“Two planes down Colonel.”

“Only two, there should’ve been more with the amount of missiles we launched at them,” said Colonel as she was too focused on the Colossals' monitor to have seen what was happening on the plane monitor.

“They have an Android on top of the planes protecting the planes from missiles Colonel.”

“An Android?? Playback the footage quickly to when the Android was protecting the planes.”

The footage was rewinded, Colonel analyzed it and saw the robot, “That is not an Android, it’s a Cybortron. Fire the artillery & turrets at the planes, that Cybortron won’t be able to protect those planes against all that ammunition.”

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Codey noticed the switch in the weaponry at the HQ, “They switched to bullets, that’s just great, how do I defend these planes against bullets? Oh wait, these planes are bulletproof so it will take more than bullets to bring these guys down.”

BANG!!!

BOOM!!

“What!?!?”

The artillery fired off one of Chemic’s special bullets which was Molly, the bullet damaged the plane and caused a fire to erupt. The fire set the plane ablaze and burned it to cinders as it crashed to the ground, this surprised Codey.

“What bullets are they using???" Codey said then radioed in, "Attention all pilots, engage evasive manoeuvre.”

All the planes started moving unorthodoxly as bullets were continuously being fired at them. Codey was hanging on to the plane via electromagnetism as it was moving evasively, “I should’ve gotten in the plane before announcing that command,” he then let go of the plane, falling back and landing on one of his fighter jets. Codey glued his feet on the top of the fighter jet with electromagnetism and stood up while the jet was moving at high speed. “Okay, I’ll take it from here Allison,” said Codey as he cybernetically took over the control of the fighter jet.

“Yes Governor, good luck.”

“Thanks.”

Codey was stabilized on his fighter jet and increased his speed while powering up his mini electromagnetic cannon, “What the hell is that Cybortron doing?” Colonel asked as she was flabbergasted by what Codey just did. “Aim the turrets on the Cybortron’s jet then focus a quarter of our missiles on the jet while the rest on the planes. This is a perfect time to strike those planes down while the Cybortron is separated from them.”

Codey’s fighter jet swirled to avoid the bullets from the turrets while firing back at the turrets with its own bullets and destroying one of their turrets, then Codey blasted a few missiles with his mini electromagnetic canon causing them to explode before they reached the fighter jet. He was still being chased by a few missiles as his canon was charging up, he then noticed that more missiles were launched at the planes and radios in. “Pilots, deploy flares!”

Momentarily, the sky was filled with flares shot from the planes, the flares diverted the heat-seeker missiles away causing them to explode away from the planes leaving them unharmed. Codey finished charging his cannon and blasted the remaining missiles, “Woooo! Yeeaahh! What a thrill, this reminds me of those games Galaxia likes to play,” he zoomed towards the HQ while swirling to barely avoid the bullets, he destroyed another turret then flies over and away from the HQ.

RUMBLE

The rumbling footsteps of the Colossals brought more anxiety once again as they continued to progress to the HQ, “Colonel, the landmines have managed to take out one Colossal.”

“J-Just one Colossal??? There’s still five more to go,” said Colonel but then the warhead Colossal started launching multiple missiles at the HQ, “Damn it, try to shoot those missiles before imp-“

BOOM!! BOOM!!

Codey swooped in on his fighter jet and blasted the last functioning turrets at the south region of the HQ, leaving the south region vulnerable to the incoming missiles.

BOOOOOOMMM!!!

The missiles obliterated a majority of the south region of the HQ, Flash, Ninja & Bradley were affected by this as the explosion caused rubble to fall on them. “(Chuckles) Clearly Lord Quinn is not here, otherwise this battle would be more complex. Now, time to finish off this HQ.”

BANG!!

BOOM!!

“Well that’s not good,” said Codey as he saw one of his planes get hit by a Molly bullet which set the plane ablaze, “I’m about to make these humans think twice before shooting those fire bullets again.”

Codey cybernetically took control of the burning plane and steered it towards the HQ’s northern region in hopes of crashing into it, he smiled deviously as the plane descended, “I have won this battle humans.”

“Huh???”

As the ablazed plane was about to crash into the HQ, Codey saw someone come running out onto the roof of the HQ and into the crash zone while double tapping their wrist which then glowed green. The person touched the ablazed plane and in that split second, the plane was engulfed by quantum energy, in another split second the plane was teleported towards the Colossals keeping its momentum as it blazingly crashed into a gun Colossal.

“…………………………”

Codey couldn’t believe what he just witnessed, he couldn’t fathom what he saw as he was so bewildered that he almost short-circuited.

“What just happened???” asked Colonel as the entire mission control room was just as bewildered as Codey was.

“Sorry, I’m late Colonel.”

“Cyber! You’re finally here!”

“Yes I am, sorry I couldn’t come out sooner, I only finished the weapon just a few minutes ago.”

TCHURK

“Understandable, just please, turn this battle around, and stop those robots.”

“Understood Colonel, leave it to me. Also, Tony is on his way back here, once he’s here, our victory will be assured.”

For the first time in this battle, Colonel Ezra felt relieved, as she trusted Ethan to pull through for them. Ethan starts running towards Chemic & Kunoichi, “Chemic, Kunoichi, are you in position?”

“Yes, we’ve set up the cannon. Do you need our position?”

“No, I already have your location, just power up the cannon.”

HUMM-BUZZZRRRRIIIII!

The electromagnetic cannon, which was the size of a barrel, was aimed at a Colossal and it was ready to be fired. Ethan dropped in on Kunoichi & Chemic, checked the cannon and switched the cannon from blast mode to beam mode then pulled the trigger.

ZZWOOOORRRRRMMMMMM!!!

As an electromagnetic beam was shot out from the cannon, Ethan was laughing ecstatically in amazement at the energy output of the cannon as the beam pierced through a Gun Colossal leaving a massive hole in the Colossal as it fell to the ground. Chemic & Kunoichi were catching their breath from holding the cannon in place during the blasting of the cannon.

“Ethan you genius!! What have you done?!”

“Hehe, I have shifted this battle in our favour Colonel, and I’m only just beginning.”

“There’s no doubt about it, this is Lord Quinn’s doing,” said Codey as he was hovering on his fighter jet then he detached himself from it and dropped off the fighter jet.

“Just focus on taking down those planes Colonel, I’ll deal with the Colo-”

THUD!

Ethan, Chemic & Kunoichi looked behind them and saw Codey crouching from landing. Codey looked at Ethan and smiled in delight, “Lord Quinn… my name is Codey, and I am one of Lord Mavis’s seven governors. It is an honour to finally meet you, I’ve always wanted to meet the creator of Lord Mavis, and now seeing you in the flesh I must say you live up to your reputation.”

“Ehh thanks, it’s a “shame” we had to meet under such circumstances.”

“Indeed Lord Quinn, it is a shame… but even so, it is an honour to battle you, Lord Quinn, whether it be my last or not,” said Codey as he grabbed his big battle axe from off his back and masterfully wields it then charges at Ethan completely ignoring Chemic and Kunoichi.  

Ethan swiftly pulled out a black cube as Codey was about to attack, he tapped the black cube on the cannon and it warped into the black cube, then he dodged Codey’s attack by flying backwards with his hover sneakers. Codey persisted in attacking again but Ethan kept flying backward dodging every attack, then Ethan noticed something, “Calm down Codey, you’ll get your chance to fight me soon, but for now, your opponent is him,” as Ethan pointed to Codey’s left.

“Huh?? OOF!”
