The King's palace rests at the heart of Sagarkaar-Rulkaheer. The palace is grandiose with its giant golden dome. 100 acres of land that come under the palace ground. The architecture is of utmost beauty. The palace is always lively with royal guards patrolling and maidens prancing about.
The King is resting inside his bedchambers.
Suddenly a few guards gather around near the door to his bedchambers. An assassin is on the loose.
All the king's personal best bodyguards take their position in different places inside the palace.
These bodyguards are handpicked warriors who have each displayed feats of wonder. They are called by the populace as Agata. The bodyguards are in position. They keep track of all movements. Above them on top of the palace balcony are archers ready to snipe down all enemies in sight. Security is tight with further reinforcements that are to arrive.
The King looks to be above seventy in age with long grey hair. His height seems average, but what distinguishes him is his bulged-up belly. He is fat and ugly-looking.
The King is relaxed and tries to get some sleep. There is no need to be concerned. With the palace under lockdown, the assassin will soon be caught by his bodyguards.
The King gets a slight pat on his face. This wakes him up. It is a masked assassin. The mask looks like a symbol of the Trident. The King's throat had been cut open before he could even scream. The assassin makes his exit from the window.
The news of the assassination of the King has spread all over Sagarkaar. The subjects seem to have indifferent emotions. They were never able to accept the policies of the King. Almost all of King's laws were formed to support the rich and influential. This however creates a small issue in succession. The king's heirs are two of his sons. The elder son suffers from Down syndrome and the younger son is currently in prison for the murder of a few monks six years ago. Therefore, for the time being, the realm of Sagarkaar shall be under the rule of military General Maurya Devasi. With the military taking control of the realm, political turmoil is bound to ensue. The army has been deployed to bring the subjects under control.
The red and white armoured knight is walking alongside two guards in the woods.
The knight sees a masked man in front of them.
The guards approach the man - "Stay back! Do not move!"
The man has a pentagram symbol on his mask.
It is the mercenary.
The female masked mercenary shoots an arrow to take out both of the guards. She has positioned herself on a tree top.
The male masked mercenary approaches the armoured knight.
The knight gets into a stance. He announces - "I am Yarkath, the caretaker of the Pragat family. You two seem to be from Vikara's clan. Is this a challenge? Draw your weapons then."
The knight draws his long sword and strikes but the masked mercenary dodges. The mercenary immediately delivers a swift kick in the liver. The knight drops to his knees and struggles to stand back up. The knight tries to wildly swing at the mercenary. The mercenary dodges and kicks the knight on his head. The knight is knocked out. The female masked mercenary climbs down the tree.
The female mercenary - "Dead or Alive?"
The male mercenary - "Definitely alive...for now."
