In the midst of the darkness, a ray of hope arises in Sofia's life. She meets Diego, a young Mexican man who has also immigrated to Dallas in search of a better future. Diego becomes her confidant, her friend and an invaluable support as she struggles to adapt to her new life.

Together, they share the joys and sorrows of the migrant, supporting each other through difficult times. Diego teaches Sofia how to navigate the streets of Dallas, helps her find a better job, and gives her the love and understanding she so desperately needs.
