It was starting to get dark and the lot needed somewhere to stay for the night. Thankfully there was an inn on the side of the road, which was there in particular to house resting travellers. Arthur and the rest got out of the carriage to read a sign saying “The Dragon Dreams Inn.” It was a standard two story building with wooden panelling and grey walls along with stables to keep the horses. Arthur went inside the inn with everyone else following him. As he walked in he went to the counter where the innkeeper was, the innkeeper was a short, balding middle aged man with a moustache.
'Hello, I would like to book rooms to stay for this night'
'Ar.... Arthur, the Prince Arthur, is that you? Holy cow! Can I have your autograph, you are the most amazing Prince ever and I'm sure you'll make an even more amazing ki-' Arthur then bashed the desk.
'Can I just book a room?!'
'Errr... yes, of course, Prince Arthur! We have six single rooms and one double room.' Lydia heard the bit about the double room and she then whispered into Arthur's ear.
'You know who should take the double room...' Arthur then blushed slightly.
'Me and Lydia will take the... double room, the rest will be in the single rooms, he turned around to face Robert, Norman, the driver and the Knights.`You can do that yourselves, right?' And they did.Once all of the rooms were booked, they all went over to the dining room. 'Norman, there's something that I've just realised: my father didn't say anything about who the leader of the Silverwood Kingdom is or what he's like’
'That would probably be Henry Silverwood, he's the last remaining descendant of the original Silverwood family, though other than that I wouldn't know'
They kept eating their dinner and once they had finished they all decided to got to the bedrooms that had been booked for them, all of them were upstairs. Arthur had Lydia had the privilege of having the only double room that was available in the inn. Arthur changed into soft looking clothes and Lydia changed into a nightdress, there was a bottle of wine on a small round table for two next to the bed.
'Hey Arthur, what was it like... being in love with Stephanie?'
'Hmmm... well it was wonderful at first I guess... but then over time she seemed to just hate me more and more.'
'Well Arthur... maybe she really was having an affair.' Arthur said nothing and there was a moment of silence between the two of them.
'Arthur, I just realised something'
'What's that?'
'At that time Edward still seemed to love me just like usual. It's all really weird' Arthur stood there, and was thinking for a little while..
'You know Lydia, some people can be very good fakers.' At this point they were both in the bed. Lydia shyly cuddled Arthur and they both fell asleep.
The next day everyone had woken up and were all served breakfast. Norman and Robert were talking to each other.
'Robert, I'm not sure how to ask you this, but don't you come from a wealthy family?'
'Yes I do! I'm from the Drayton family, the most noble and wealthy in Redwater... and probably the whole of the Rosethorne Kingdom!' Robert exclaimed with a cheerful looking smile. Norman didn’t look impressed though. Lydia was next to Arthur as they ate their breakfast.
'Sounds to me like my Dad just wants to win those people over' he whispered to Lydia, she started giggling.
Shortly after that everyone went back into the carriage and continued their journey to Silverwood. Everyone was where they were the last time they were in the carriage. Along the way Arthur was looking at a large fort on top of a hill. It appeared to abandoned – all the windows had been smashed. The bricks were kind of yellowish, indicating that the fort was very old. Also along the journey was a column of tall waterfalls, there were three of them
'Those waterfalls... they're so pretty...' said Lydia. Arthur just gazed at them, along with her.
As the day continued a very tall white castle came in view. It had light blue flags on the towers. The castle was surrounded by a white wall. By this time Arthur had fallen asleep.
'Arthur, wake up!' shouted Lydia, she started shaking him as well 'Wakey wakey, Arthur!' Arthur woke up and noticed the castle.
'Hey, is that Silverwood?' Arthur shouted to Norman, though he did not respond. Arthur then tapped him on the shoulder `Is that Silverwood by any chance?'
'Yes Arthur, it is indeed.' The carriage approached the gates of the city walls, of which were made of solid iron. A guard went up to them.
'State your business' he said. Arthur looked at him straight in the eyes.
'I'm Prince Arthur Rosethorne, I'm here on behalf of King Richard to negotiate with the leader of this city. These are my companions, they will not harm you, I promise. The rest are knights that are acting as bodyguards. Any questions?' The guards started taking to each other for about ten minutes and then told him
'Wait here, we'll need to speak to the Count about this' About half an hour later, the guard returned and said 'You can go in.'
