Jaemin's POV:

Money has always ruled the world...

After a week, I was called to the principal's office with my grandmother again. We got threatened to take back our report and not sue them for what they had done to me, or he would've fired me from the school for tarnishing its reputation. I knew that he had received bribes from those guys' parents since they were part of the school's supporters.

My grandmother was so shocked and scared at that moment. She kneeled down on her knees, begging the principal not to fire me desperately. My heart was shredded into pieces as I saw my grandmother's tears falling down while there was a menacing smile on the principal's face.

I felt disgusted by all of them...
I couldn't tolerate it anymore...

I grabbed my grandmother's arms and helped her stand. Then I shouted at him, "I don't care whether you fire me or anything, but I'm not gonna shut my mouth in this case!"

I pulled my grandmother out of his office and groaned, "Grandma... Don't listen to them! You shouldn't kneel down in front of someone like him! They can't do anything!"

"But... Jaemin-Ah... What if you can't study anymore!!! What if you can't go to university!!! I don't want your future to get ruined because of them!!! Let's just forget about the whole thing! Hm? Don't fight against them... Your school will finish in a few months..." My grandmother said as she was still crying...

"I don't care! I only want them to get punished for what they did!" I said angrily and took her home.

Sometimes I think about what would've happened if I had listened to my grandmother that day?...

Would she still be alive today?...

Sometimes, I feel like my stubbornness has caused her to pass away...

I can't help but feel guilty about it...
Over and over again...

The day that I lost her, I was at school as usual. And my grandmother was at home like another ordinary day. However, those guys' parents barged into our house out of the blue, threatening my grandmother by scaring her to death.

The house was totally flipped when I arrived, so you can imagine the mess they made. I looked over for my grandmother, calling her name anxiously as my heart was jumping out of my chest. When I finally found her in her room, she was passed out on the floor. I rushed towards her, rocking her body back and forth as I held her in my arms. "Grandma! Grandma!!!" I wailed desperately...

I pulled out my phone out of my pocket and called for an ambulance while my hands were shaking in fear, and my tears were flowing down.

As we got into the ambulance, on the way to the hospital, she gained consciousness for a brief moment. She barely opened her eyes and mumbled something. I closed my ear near her mouth, trying to hear what she was trying to say.
Then I heard her weak voice saying, "My baby... Jaemin... P-please... Graduate and l-live a h-happy... life... Even if... I w-was't with you... any-more... Promise... me..."

I held her hands tightly and whined, "You'll be... Okay... Grandma... Don't leave... me... I only... have you..."

As she closed her eyes, she had never opened them again no matter how hard the medical team tried to save her.

She died due to a heart stroke in the end...
And, that was how I lost my only family member...

After her funeral, I was totally haunted by guilt eating me up from inside. When I got back to school, I couldn't tolerate it anymore. Everything was suffocating me to death, their judgmental gazes, their humiliating smirks, and shameless whispers...

I had no longer any will to live; I hated myself as much as I hated everyone...

I ran out of school as I was panting hard to catch air. My heart was filled with sorrow, and my mind was full of negative thoughts...

I wanted to end my life...

I wanted to end my overthinking...

I wanted to end everything...

So without thinking ahead, I ran towards the street while you were following me and calling my name...

However, you were the one who got into the accident instead of me...

Because of my stupid actions...

Once again, I did something stupid...

Once again, I caused damage to someone who was important to me...

Once again, I ruined everything...

I just can't brush this guilt off...
I can never forgive myself for what I've done to my dear ones...

Sohyun's tears flowed down as he listened to Jaemin's sad story. Gosh... This boy's life is even more tragic than mine...

Jaemin reached his hands to Sohyun's face and wiped his tears. "Why are you crying again?..."

"I'm so sorry for whatever happened to you..." Sohyun whined. I wonder how he would feel if he found out that his friend is actually gone like his grandmother... Even thinking about it makes my heart ache...

Jaemin sighed and caressed his hair gently, "I'm the one who should apologize to you..."

Sohyun shook his head and snuggled into Jaemin's arm, "You're not alone, Jaemin. I'll take care of you from now on..."

Jaemin chuckled, "That's me who should take care of you since I owe you a lot! You can take care of your girlfriend instead..."

Sohyun pinched Jaemin's arm, "You really need to work on your stubbornness!!!"

"Ow!" Jaemin pulled Sohyun's ear in response. "Let's sleep nicely, Sohyun-Ah..."

Then he pushed Sohyun out of his arms anxiously. "I feel hot... Don't cling to me."

Sohyun huffed, "Huh! I was trying to comfort you, jerk!" Then he rolled over, turning his back on him, "Goodnight!"

Jaemin ruffled Sohyun's hair and grinned, "Goodnight." Then he closed his eyes slowly.

In the morning, Jaemin opened his eyes as the light was shining inside the room. Ah... I can't breathe...

As Jaemin felt something heavy pressing down his whole body, he glanced down and noticed Sohyun was on top of him, snoring as his saliva drooled on Jaemin's shirt.

This kid!... Jaemin sighed and wrapped his arms around Sohyun, then turned to his side slowly to lay him back on the bed.

He adjusted the covers and tucked Sohyun in, taking a moment to watch him sleep peacefully. Jaemin smiled and stroked Sohyun's hair gently. I haven't slept well in a while... But last night, I had a deep sleep without any nightmares...

He gasped at his snore and opened his eyes suddenly. Their eyes locked on each other for a few seconds without saying anything.
They both were taken aback by the sudden closeness of their faces and then Sohyun muttered, "Y-Youu..." As his voice cracked, Sohyun's cheeks became red out of shyness. "Ehmm... You're awake..."

Jaemin smiled and said, "Yep. It's time to wake up or we'll be late for school."

Sohyun's brain was still processing the situation when his eyes fell on his own hands, resting on Jaemin's chest as his arms were still holding Sohyun's body.

Sohyun sprang up and sat straight awkwardly. "Haha... Yeah."

My heart skipped a beat for a second... Sohyun thought and got out of bed.

They got ready after having breakfast and walked to school together. As they arrived at the yard, Hanna called Sohyun's name and approached them with a confused expression on her face. "Hey, baby."

She then hugged Sohyun while looking dagger at Jaemin. Why are they coming together?!... I thought they weren't friends anymore!...

Jaemin sped up his steps to get away from them as he noticed Hanna's glare. Don't worry, I won't bite your boyfriend!... I'm still wondering why Sohyun likes that obsessed girl?!...

Sohyun said while his eyes were following Jaemin walking away, "Good morning, Hanna."

Hanna asked, "Why were you two together?"

"He spent the night at my house." As soon as Sohyun said this, Hanna was totally shocked.

"Whaaaaaaaat?! Did you reconcile with him?! What about your parents?! Didn't they say anything?!" Hanna attacked Sohyun with her questions.

Sohyun was flustered and a bit dumbfounded by Hanna's reaction. "Yeah, I think so!... They don't know since they weren't home."

Hanna stumped her feet in an annoyed way and said, "Hmph... You should have invited me instead! Why would you stay with him!?"

What's wrong with her suddenly?... Sohyun thought and then forced himself into a smile, "hehe... I will invite you next time. We need to go before class starts! See you later!"

Sohyun quickened his steps and dashed towards his class. He walked past Jaemin and sat down behind his desk, staring at him blankly.

Jaemin was busy with his books and notes. "Do you have anything to say?"

Sohyun shook his head, "Nah. I was just thinking."

I'm thinking about how I can end this hellish game for good... I need to stop them from bullying him... But I need a plan... I can't take this matter lightly... I need to be wise...

Jaemin raised his eyebrow in wonder, "Okay then."

Sohyun was drowned in his thoughts the whole time he was at school until he returned home. He couldn't stop himself from feeling sorry for Jaemin and what had happened to him...

He really was eager to change everything for Jaemin...

But he didn't know how yet...

He kind of assumed that this might be his mission as he entered this new body.

   Maybe I'm the one who can solve this matter...
  Maybe I'm the one who can save Jaemin from darkness...
  Maybe my body got swapped because Jaemin was the one who needed someone like me...

"Sohyun! Why don't you eat my son? Don't you feel good?" Sohyun's thoughts were cut off by his mother's voice.

Sohyun raised his head and looked at her. "No! I'm okay..."

He then stuffed his fork into a potato slice and brought it to his mouth awkwardly.

Sohyun's mother asked worriedly, "Is there anything bothering you?"

Sohyun flinched at her question and then said hesitantly, "It's not something important." Then an idea came to his mind, "Mom, can I ask you something?"

She nodded her head and smiled, "Yeah!"

"Are we wealthy? Like very very rich?!..." Sohyun asked in wonder.

She glanced at his husband in confusion and turned her gaze to Sohyun. "Yes. We are."

"Are you guys also supporting our school with money?" Sohyun asked again.

Sohyun's father laughed and said, "We are their best supporters since we want you to have a good time at school."

Sohyun's eyes sparkled with excitement. This is it!!! Money rules the world!!! And I'm the richest kid at school!!! Why didn't I think about this earlier?!!... I HAVE THE POWER!

Sohyun raised his hands above his head excitedly and screamed, "I LOVE YOU GUYS! THANK YOU FOR BEING THIS RICH! I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOU TWO ARE MY PARENTS!!!!"

His parents were surprised by Sohyun's sudden excitement and chuckled unconsciously. "We also love you, Sohyun!"

He then smirked devilishly. I know what should I do now! Just wait and see, you bastards!
