Lucia's eyes scanned the room as she saw a man in a sharp black suit and a full-face mask walk towards them. She hoped he was heading for someone else, but to her dismay he stopped right in front of Rose. He looked like he had been eyeing the door eagerly for Rose. Lucia thought it was creepy. They had just arrived. 'Was he some kind of stalker or something?'
He extended his hand elegantly towards Rose. He whispered in her ear, "You are a rare beauty, my dear. Care to dance?"
Lucia stared at him but she couldn't see anything behind his mask. He could be anyone. She tried to stop Rose but before she could utter a word Rose flashed a seductive grin and said, "Why certainly, kind sir." She placed her hand in his as he pressed his lips to it gently. He whisked her away to the center of the dance hall, where they mingled with the other couples.
Lucia muttered "that idiot" under her breath as she watched Rose disappear into the crowd with a stranger. 'Was this how these parties worked? Did people just hook up with anyone they met without a second thought? Or am I being too judgmental and uptight for no reason? If that's the case then maybe I need to rethink my life. But damn it, what about me? He didn't even bother to say hello. He just ignored me as if I was invisible.' she thought.
Lucia felt like a wallflower in a sea of roses. She wasn't good at making small talk or flirting. She wished she could disappear into the shadows. She sighed as she didn't know what to do, except maybe look for the nearest exit.
She looked around desperately for an exit when she spotted a dimly lit corridor that beckoned her like a safe haven. She decided to escape there for a while and get away from the noise and the crowd.
Lucia wandered into the corridor, away from the noisy and crowded party. She felt bored and restless, as if nothing could interest her. She stifled a yawn and stretched her arms, trying to shake off the fatigue. As she did, her eyes caught a glimpse of a painting on the wall. It was a colorful piece, with swirls of paint and splashes of light.
Lucia felt a sudden curiosity and attraction, as if the painting was calling to her. She walked closer to examine it, forgetting everything else. Lucia was drawn to the paintings on the walls like a moth to a flame.
Her heart quickened with excitement as she gazed upon the first painting—a majestic scene of knights charging into the battlefield, their armor gleaming in the sunlight as they valiantly fought their enemies.
In the dimly lit hallway, Lucia was a vision of angelic beauty. Wearing a white gown with cutout details that showed off her skin. Her hair was styled in glamorous waves that evoked the Old Hollywood glamour.
Looking at the painting on the wall she could see the artist's emotions poured out of the brushstrokes, creating a vivid scene of war.
Lucia moved on to the next painting, which contrasted sharply with the previous one. It showed a peaceful forest bathed in the silver light of a full moon. Mysterious creatures frolicked among an ancient tree.
Lucia was captivated by the enchanting artwork that adorned the mansion's corridors. As an art lover, she appreciated the skill and creativity of the painter, who had transported her to different worlds with his brush.`
As she continued down the corridor, Lucia was drawn to a painting that depicted a tragic romance. The lovers gazed at each other with longing and despair, their fate sealed by the cruel hand of destiny. Lucia felt a bit of sympathy for the doomed couple, whose feelings were immortalized on the canvas.
Each painting seemed to hold a story of its own, as if the artist had infused a piece of their soul into every stroke.
Lucia froze in her tracks as she heard a noise behind her. She slowly turned her head and saw a door ajar. Through the gap, she could hear a woman's heavy breathing and a man's low growls.
Unable to bring herself to look away from the crack in the door. She could see a man and a woman in bed together, both of them naked and seemingly enjoying their bodies. The woman's pleas could be heard as the man plunged into her over and over again.
