Chapter 1: Pandora
Waking up in a bright white room, Jett knew where he was, though he also knew that he couldn’t show that he knew. The room had a white table, chair, and no door or light source, but it was still bright. Jett walked up to the table, and magically another chair appeared, so he sat down. Sitting in a chair across the table was a person; who was wearing a white tuxedo.
“Hello, where am I currently?” Jett asked.
“Welcome to Pandora’s Box.” The man said, sounding like he was voided of all emotions; even his face wasn’t showing any emotion.
“What is Pandora’s Box?” Jett asked, following up, “Why am I here?”
“Pandora’s Box is what people call heaven or hell. This place has many names but is officially called Pandora’s Box.” The guy gets up and starts walking to a wall, then a door magically appears. “Please follow me, and I will bring you to your room and give you a tour.”
“Hold up, what do you mean, heaven or hell? Do you mean I am dead!?” Jett yelled.
“Yes, you are dead,” He answered while walking out the door.
“I see,” Jett stated while following behind. “Ha, my acting skills are perfect; of course, I know what this place is. I have studied this place for 90 years. This place was created by a “god,” otherwise known as the organization named Pandora.”
He first showed Jett the rest area, where Jett saw his family and friends that have already died. While showing Jett other places, Jett learned the man’s name, Alexithymia. Though Jett felt familiar with the man’s name, he couldn’t pinpoint the name. Alexithymia finally brought Jett to his door.
“You have heard of this room before; this is Pandora’s Box. It is a room where anything you want can be in it, so what do you want in the room?” Alexithymia said.
Jett was excited about this question. “Yes, this is the question I have been waiting for. I have been studying this place for 90 years, and 60 of those years, I have planned out how I can leave this place.”
“I want a phone in there with every book, story, novel, and anything fiction-related. The phone will transport me into any story I choose.” Jett said, “From what I have learned, humans are just prophets, and most fictional stories are real but shown to someone in our world to write down.”
Jett stopped for a while but continued, “I also want a scroll that follows me to each world, allowing me to control my power and let me learn any skills in that world. I also want it to allow me to use power above my own at a price to ensure I don’t die in the world.”
Alexithymia looked confused the first time he showed emotions. “Sorry, I do not know if what you ask is possible. Please wait a moment to check.” But right when he said this, a loud voice that felt like it was shaking the whole place, said, “LET HIM!”
“Sir, I will now change your Box to your demand. If you want, you can go inside now. I hope you enjoy it; if you ever need it changed, fill out the forum.” Alexithymia was typing something on a tablet. Then he said, “Done.”
Jett went in and looked at the phone; it had all the novels he had read, like Seven Sins, Martial Top, and books like Larry Butter. One thing Jett couldn’t figure out, though, is why “god” allowed him to do this even though it was against the rules. Jett knew that this rule is punishable by death. Pandora controls all worlds and does not like others intervening with the timelines. Even though he was confused, he didn’t care; he had one thing on his mind. It was the plan Jett made for 60 years to allow himself not to be controlled by Pandora. The first step of the goal was to go to the world of the novel, System of Unlimited Cunning.
Before leaving, Jett wanted to say hi to his family and friends. So he went to a main open area where people could hang out and play games and saw his mother, the only family member he had left before she died. He saw all his school and work friends who thought he had gone crazy talking about Pandora. They all felt sorry for thinking so. However, Jett didn’t care since he knew all along that what he said sounded crazy.
